Following his retirement from the NFL, McCoy has been involved with numerous civic activities on both national and local levels. He served on Pres. Reagan's Council on Sports for a Drug-Free America, and on the Pennsylvania Council for Physical Fitness. WSFI Catholic Radio hosted a Roe v Wade Day of Prayer, Reparation & Reflection. Elizabeth Yore was a guest speaker. Elizabeth is an International Child Protection Attorney, specializing in Missing, Abducted & Exploited Children. Previously, she served as General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services. During her time there, she organized the nation's first  Child Welfare Missing Wards Unit, and coordinated with Law Enforcement to locate misising children and to prosecute offenders.
