Patrick opens with encouragement for anxious listeners, especially a soon-to-be mother uncertain about her child’s future, drawing on simple wisdom from Saint Padre Pio: pray, hope, and don’t worry. He fields questions about Church teaching, the permanence of baptism, and faith’s place in public life, offering practical guidance, reflections on trust, and spiritual resources like the “Surrender Novena”. Throughout, Patrick reminds everyone that chaos in the Church or world cannot destroy Christ’s promise, personal holiness and trust in God remain the sure path through every storm. Madeline (email) - How can I feel more peace surrounding all this and trust that God will protect our child’s life and future? (00:34) Jared - Is the Church's teaching on homosexuality definitive? I hear rumblings that this teaching could be changed. (04:16) Carl - Are you familiar with the book, 'The Hell There is' by Msgr. Charles Pope? (19:25) Michael - I was baptized Catholic but wasn't raised Catholic. Can you have your Baptism rescinded? (23:19) James - For all those people worrying, the Surrender Novena is a great prayer to relieve people from anxiety. (29:45) Rhonda - My granddaughter felt bad people had to say “under God” in the National Anthem/Pledge of Allegiance, because not everyone believes in God. (32:36) Carla (email) - I have a follow up question to the call from the husband about his wife and her cousin’s same sex wedding. If the cousin is currently in OCIA, should the wife continue to be the sponsor? Should she inform the church that the cousin is not fit to continue the OCIA program? (39:41) John - What is the wilderness mentioned in Revelation 12:6-14? (43:24)

Msgr. Esseff reflects on the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. He describes in detail the true horror of this means of execution and what it meant to be crucified in the time of Jesus. But he also talks about the great love that God has for us in embracing the Cross for our sake and what it means for us today. A very powerful reflection. Religious freedom isn't private—it's truth lived in public. Deacon Mike Beauvais and Msgr. Leonard Pivonka cut through the confusion ahead of July 4. Rediscover the Catholic meaning of religious liberty: not just freedom to worship, but the grace-given duty to live the truth in family, work, and civic life. Deacon Mike and Msgr. Pivonka unpack how conscience is formed; why reducing faith to private feeling breeds relativism; and what virtue, law, and the common good actually require. They contrast secular ideologies with the Church's teaching on freedom, responsibility, and authentic happiness, offering concrete ways to witness with clarity, charity, and courage in the public square. If you're facing workplace pressure, school policy battles, or cultural headwinds, this conversation grounds you in first principles and practical next steps. Deacon Mike Beauvais and Msgr. Leonard Pivonka explore how truth, goodness, beauty, and love reveal God—and reorder our desires, choices, and culture. They unpack the transcendentals as real signposts that awaken the soul and call for conversion of mind and heart. Drawing on Scripture, the saints (especially Augustine), and lived experience, they distinguish fleeting pleasure from lasting joy, connect freedom with humility and the moral law, and explain why love always involves sacrifice. They address “your truth/my truth,” conscience and judgment, and the prophetic clarity of Humanae Vitae, contrasting secular confusion with the Church's perennial wisdom in worship, art, and teaching. If you're grappling with objective truth in a relativistic age, this conversation offers first principles and hopeful next steps for living them at home, work, and parish life. Join Msgr. John Esseff as he reflects on his experiences with Mother Teresa on the eve of her canonization! Several of the stories he has not shared on any of his previous programs. Rather than be "admirers" of Mother Teresa, Msgr. Esseff asks all of us to pray to become "imitators" of this little one of God's children who has now become one of His great saints! Carrier of God's Tender Love and Mercy Lord Jesus, merciful Face of the Father, you came to give us the Good News of the Father's mercy and tenderness. We thank you for the gift of our dearest Mother, Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, who will be canonized in this Jubilee Year of Mercy. You chose her to be your presence, your love and compassion to the brokenhearted, the unwanted, the abandoned and the dying. She responded wholeheartedly to your cry, ‘I Thirst,' by the holiness of her life and humble works of love to the poorest of the poor. We pray, through her intercession, for the grace to experience your merciful love and share it in our own families, communities and with all our suffering brothers and sisters. Help us to give our “hearts to love and hands to serve” after the example of Mother Teresa. Lord Jesus, bless every member of our family, our parish, our diocese, our country, especially those most in need, that we all may be transformed by your merciful love. Amen.
