Antonio Rosario bills himself as a full-time unemployed photographer, part-time semi-employed videographer and photography instructor, and a volunteer bimonthly podcaster. He sent out a tweet in which he said, "Dear podcasters: Will someone PLEASE interview me about the #iPhone 14 ProMax?!" I expected that Antonio wanted to come on and have a discussion about the new phone's specs and a pixel-peeping level of detail about the resulting images from this new device. But that's not at all what he really wanted to talk about. Whether you consider yourself a "real" photographer or just someone who likes to take pictures, I think you'll find this introspective discussion heartfelt and memorable. King Timmy, born in Santiago, Dominican Republic, is a young Latin artist. He always loved music in high school, and through playing basketball, he grew a love for hip-hop. He eventually started getting into Spanish music and was very much inspired by Bad Bunny after attending one of his concerts. His dad has a lot of friends in the entertainment industry and is introduced to many well-known figures who have given him great advice as an artist. The young 20-year old artist describes performing as an adrenaline rush; King Timmy says, “I use my anxiety to my advantage and shake off my nerves by being energized throughout my performances; I let out the nerves that way.” King Timmy opened for Antonio Rosario, but an awe-inspiring performance he did at the beginning of his career was his prom! He talks about how it was a great memory performing for many of his classmates and friends in the last event of his high school experience. King Timmy mentions that it felt great that King Timmy had support from his hometown, especially the people that he grew up with. Advice he would give his younger self, he says, “dream bigger and never be too satisfied; hard work pays off.” He supports all artists that love music and puts it into their music. You can catch him on social media Instagram @kingtimmyrd and watch his videos on Youtube @ King Timmy.

Winston Link, Bart digs a little deeper into the whys and the hows of railway photography. The first part of the show explores the differences between thinking about shooting railways as opposed to trains, with the hope of inspiring you to have a go. Following on from that, the second part gives some practical tips that might help you convert your inspiration into great images. Show notes are available at https://lets-talk.ie/ltp92 Reminder - you can submit questions for future Q A shows at http://lets-talk.ie/photoq. Last week we talked about the amazing power in the tool of “What If” and how it impacts your creativity. To continue that idea let’s talk about how important it is to introduce an element of “Play” into your creative process. ----more---- Why “Play”? When we approach our creative pursuits without an element of play, we are more typically focused on a specific end result. There may be client work pressures or just the pressure and consequences we place on ourselves for a less than ideal outcome. There’s absolutely a time and place to get down to business. But when we play, it’s only then that we are truly able to explore the hidden recesses in our creative minds and discover new paths and direction with our creativity. “The research shows that play-like activities put us into into a psychological state where it’s ok to fail, where it’s ok to wonder “what if?” A result of that thinking is the ability to freely explore the unknown. From that exploration creative insights are much easier to spot.” - Tanner Christensen, Writer at CreativeSomething.Net Episode Resources Shuttertime Episode with Antonio Rosario from Street Shots as a guest host. Antonio heard my episode last week and because of that and an idea from a mutual friend, Mark Rierson, decided to allow for a little “What If” style play with a photography genre he’d always wanted to try. The results, much like the episode of Shuttertime, were fantastic. Why is Play Essential For Creativity This article from creativesomething.net contains some excellent insight on how Play and What If go hand in hand to allow us to freely create without any fear of consequence. Hot Kenobi Instagram Account This is an example where playing with toys and a camera led to a new passion. Very interesting conversation with Antonio Rosario about very prolific photographer of old, Edward Weston. Who's photographs seem to be all over the place, not following any specific genre. Yet if you look carefully a theme will appear.
In this episode I'm joined by Antonio Rosario, and we talk about William Eggleston. Mr. Eggleston is a very polarizing photographer. Not only he pioneered colored photography, he also seemed to throw all the rules of photography away. So what makes his photography so successful, and hated at the same time. We explore this and his photographs of mundane things.
In this episode we collected Dave Szweduik, Dominick Chiuchiulo, Bryan Menear, and Antonio Rosario to give a farewell send off to Sid, who after 7 years and with a heavy heart, is leaving the show.
With help from Antonio Rosario, we ask why the old photography masters are still relevant today.
Wow. To handle this topic we had to invite two guests, Antonio Rosario and Mark Reierson. How can photography affect social change. Lewis Hine did, but now with the amount of photography it's even harder to do, or is it? Big questions, big panel.
An honest and candid chat with Antonio Rosario from Switch to Manual and Rob Johnson about trials and tribulations of Street Photography.
In this episode we feature Antonio Rosario from Switch 2 Manual, Clay Daly from Cybrcast, and Mark Reierson. We talk about how life can affect our creativity, and how to find solutions for our photographic blues.
Kevin, Mike, and Antonio talk about geeky stuff including photography.
