You don't need quick fixes, and you don't need fad diets. You don't need to overcomplicate nutrition and fitness. And, you don't need to make it unmanageable in your day-to-day life. In this episode of Next Level, Joel explains what you can do instead.  My favorite thing Joel said in the episode was, “People always come to me saying they keep falling off the fitness wagon, and it makes me so frustrated. If you keep falling off the same fitness wagon, you need to think about whether that wagon is working for you or not. Maybe it's time to get on a different one. You need to be flexible in how you get there. Plan A may not be right for you, so you need to be open to Plan B or Plan C. This is why I don't believe in wagons. I believe in paths and finding the right path that works for you.”  Joel raises a great point. If you are continually falling off the fitness wagon, you need to evaluate what you are doing and why.  Is your diet or fitness routine leading you to your short-term goals by encouraging you to use fad diets and quick fixes? What's stopping you from reaching your goals? Most people would say it's their lack of motivation. They think developing more motivation is the key to their success. But what they need to do is determine the reason they lack it in the first place. Lack of motivation is just one layer. When you peel back that layer, you will expose yourself to what is keeping you from achieving your goals. You will reveal your insecurities and your fears and your lack of self-confidence and self-love. You will realize it's not motivation that's been stopping you but is the fact that you have no idea the potential you hold within yourself. The hardest thing to accomplish in any goal isn't the goal itself. The hardest thing is cultivating the ability to believe in yourself–know you are capable of achieving your goal. No matter what you're trying to accomplish, all the power you need is already within you; you need to believe it's there and work to unleash it.
