For some of us, our childhoods were filled with trauma. There are plenty of challenges to overcome in the world and that is before we even get into the adult years. Mindset plays a major role in overcoming these challenges and healing from them. Mindsets can be changed and shaped by your experiences but if you want to change then you have to recognize what they are first! It's up to you to make a change for your life to shift. In this podcast, our guest Michael Anthony will discuss how mindset has been such an important part of his journey through life as well as offer some tips on how you can tap into your power using mindset. Michael overcame a challenging and traumatic upbringing to succeed in Corporate America at the age of 22. But his success only worsened things for him; he found himself morbidly obese, high, and drunk daily with self-sabotaging behaviors around every corner until one day when Michael found his inner power through his Mirror Moment and chose to do whatever it took to work through childhood trauma that gave him back control over his life. Now, Michael is the author of the best-selling book 'Think Unbroken' and is a coach, mentor, and educator for adult survivors of child abuse. Michael spends his time helping other survivors get out of "The Vortex" to become the hero of their own story and take their lives back. In life, we all have different experiences that affect us in various ways. Childhood trauma, for an instance, isn't always the big event you see on TV or read about online; it could be something as small as an argument with your parents or being bullied at school. These traumatic events can play a role in our adult lives and are difficult to recognize until later when they manifest themselves through behavioral patterns because of anxiety from one's past has come up for them again. As parents, we need to be aware of these things especially as we are raising our children. What are the different ways that trauma can affect us as individuals, as parents, and our children? How does a deeper understanding of one's self help in raising children who thrive? Explore these topics with our guest, Jessica Sinarski on this week's podcast. Jessica's message is simple: parents and professionals should work together to help heal hurting children. Combining user-friendly brain science with her own personal experiences and expertise, she speaks passionately about how we all have the power to make a difference for our kids. SERVE HARD Life is about growing and giving and if you're not growing or giving, you're not living! That was a profound statement I heard this past week as Tanner and I were out at Movara fitness resort with about 70 other people we know from one of our business masterminds. Today, I share with you some stories from this trip that really impacted me as I pushed myself to new limits and learned how to serve better. Although I didn't love every experience this week, I was able to conquer the fears and level up to be a new person just 7 days later. What I learned from Movara, as well as from our mastermind group, has changed me as a person but also as a wife and mother and I want to share that with you so that you can apply that to your life too.
