With the tragic death of George Floyd and many others that took place this month, just like the rest of the world I was devastated. I had to take a minute to process everything that was going on around me. I felt like things were unfolding, masks were coming off and the true colours of the people I once followed were really coming to light (which has given me the perfect excuse to unsubscribe, unfollow, delete). In this week's episode, I cover a lot of ground but mainly focusing on diversity and representation and why more than ever we need, stand up and use our voices. Plus I talk about: The female Prime Minister that is a true leader of our time A recent live event hosted by Sigrun (pre-corona), that left me disappointed An email I sent to Business Chicks Australia that needed addressing Why you should no longer be afraid to speak out and fight for what you think is wrong If you resonated with what I shared send me a DM over in Instagram > http://instagram.com/janetkafadar LINKS MENTIONED: Facebook Video where I shared about leaders failing to lead their communities https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=256139879005769 The Truth About: Being A Leader / Ep.1 https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/the-truth-about-being-a-leader-ep-1/id1506383006?i=1000470951265 The Truth About: Making An Impact / Ep.5 https://podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/the-truth-about-making-an-impact-ep-5/id1506383006?i=1000473945977 For my black coaches & influencers, this is a great video from my friend Fabiola Girodani on why we should no longer be disappointed about white female leaders not speaking up > https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=714204886059296 STALK ME ON SOCIAL: Build Yo' Biz After Dark Facebook Community > https://www.facebook.com/groups/462855167457777/ Website > http://janetkafadar.com Facebook Page > http://facebook.com/janetkafadardotcom Instagram > http://instagram.com/janetkafadar

In most cases, being a mother of five is an all-consuming role in itself but Emma Isaacs isn’t your average woman. Running her own show since the tender age of 18, Emma is the definition of business woman and is now the founder and global CEO of Business Chicks – Australia’s largest networking community for women that has now also entered the US market where Emma and her family now live.Emma bought Business Chicks at only 250 members after seven years of running her own successful recruitment company (which followed her dropping out of her business degree as it wasn't moving fast enough) and has now grown it to its present glory running 100 events annually, publishing a magazine called Latte, and bringing the likes of Kate Hudson, Richard Branson, Seth Goden and Nigella Lawson to her audience. She has also just published her first book, Winging It, documenting the process with a refreshingly honest and practical approach and I’m delighted to have her on the show. There were a couple of technical glitches but we got there in the end and you can enjoy a bit of typical LA background beats along the way...+ Show notes are available here+ Announcements on Insta at @spoonful_of_sarah+ Subscribe to not miss out on the next instalment of YAY!
