What if the key to faster growth isn't doing more, but thinking differently? In this episode, I share insights from The Science of Scaling by Ben Hardy—a book I strongly recommend to every advisor looking to break out of the slow-growth cycle. It challenges the traditional, linear approach that so many advisors follow and replaces it with a smarter, more strategic mindset.

What if the real problem isn't that your goals are too big—but that they're not big enough? After working with an advisor who wanted to triple revenue in 10 years, I challenged him to think bigger—and faster. In this episode, I'll break down why setting impossible goals is the key to unlocking breakthrough growth, and how leveraging unconventional strategies—like CPA partnerships—can fast-track your results.

When Dreamfolks Services launched in India, it built the system that made airport lounge access work. It connected banks, card networks, and travellers to lounges across the country. For years, it stayed behind the scenes, powering the perks many took for granted. Now, it's being pushed out.In this episode, we look at how Adani, India's largest airport operator, is moving quickly to take control. Not just of the runways, but everything inside the terminals. Lounges, food courts, duty-free shops, and retail outlets are all being brought in-house. Some are being replaced. Others are being rebranded. And almost all are being absorbed by companies tied to Adani.Tune in.Daybreak is produced from the newsroom of The Ken, India's first subscriber-only business news platform. Let's talk about something that doesn't get discussed enough: why chasing more money isn't the path to fulfillment, and why so many advisors still fall into that trap. This episode is about helping you shift your mindset—from the never-ending game of making more, to building a business and life that actually feels good. I share personal stories, client examples, and a few powerful tools that help you reconnect to what matters.

Coucou everyone! You've heard the Disney versions — but the original tales? Not quite the same. In this episode of Europhile, we dive into the haunting, bizarre, and surprisingly spiritual world of Hans Christian Andersen. From a mermaid who gives everything up and turns into sea foam, to a thumb-sized girl nearly forced to marry a mole, to a mysterious Snow Queen who's more misunderstood than evil - these are not the stories you thought you knew. No happy endings. Just heartbreak, symbolism, and some of the darkest plots in European fairy tale history. Catherine then tells us about the Scandiavian concept of Logam. In this episode, I break down why doing a mid-year business review isn't just a good idea—it's essential if you want to finish 2025 strong. I've worked with thousands of advisors over the years, and one thing is clear: the most successful ones take time to stop, assess, and adjust. That's what this mid-year check-in is all about—figuring out what's working, what's not, and making smart, strategic moves for the next six months.
In this episode, I discuss why momentum is the real driver of long-term success for financial advisors. Working with thousands of advisors over the years, I've seen how easily momentum can be lost due to things like vacations, illness, or even celebrating big wins. That's why I focus on helping advisors recognize when they've gone off course and take immediate, tactical steps to reset, starting within the next 60 minutes.
In this episode, I explain why integrating your business and personal life, rather than trying to balance them, is the key to building a sustainable and fulfilling advisory practice. After over 30 years of coaching financial advisors, I've seen that the traditional idea of balance often leads to burnout rather than breakthroughs. That's why I teach advisors to use a strategic calendar and design a business that supports their ideal life, not the other way around.

In this podcast, I share why “blowing up” your business model on paper is something every financial advisor needs to know about, breaking through growth ceilings and designing a scalable, fulfilling practice. As someone who has coached successful advisors for 31 years, I've seen time and again that when growth stalls, it's not a matter of working harder—it's a signal that the current model has run its course.

Every once in a while a new restaurant comes along that try and do something really innovative, interesting and different. Devon Latte and Lucas Johnston have done that with Nero Tondo, a very small little place in deep east Van, on a block known for great little spots. Now for what it is lacking in size, it makes up for in the enormity of its hospitality. Although this podcast was recorded before I ate there, my only regret is not eating there sooner. Hi everyone and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. Everyone's talking about it—AI. From ChatGPT to niche tools, artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly visible in our industry. But here's the question on many advisors' minds: Will AI replace us? In this episode, I unpack why the answer is no. After spending the past year or two closely observing the slow but steady rise of AI in the financial services space, I've gathered my thoughts—and today, I'm sharing them with you. I also discussed the following: (03:08) Why AI won't replace financial advisors (06:28) Practical ways advisors can leverage AI today (08:22 Why embracing AI is essential for an advisor (14:58) What do I think about AI clones (17:30) How AI is helping advisors build a lasting legacy --- The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. I have spent over 30 years coaching only financial advisors. In that time, I have personally conducted over 50,000 individual coaching sessions. I have built a profound knowledge base of what it takes to achieve lifelong success in business and life. In my career, I have transformed 1,000's of advisors (below are videos and written testimonials by many of them). Many of you probably paid thousands of dollars to various coaching programs with very mixed results. Most coaching programs are just that. A pre-planned process that is “cookie cutter”. Where they have salespeople having to “sell” you on their program and results. In most cases, it's about the coach, their ego, and their money. They base their program on “practice management” or “marketing”. They make you more intelligent. What they all fail to do is help you make that “mindset” shift that must happen for you to realize your dreams and vision. I am going to coach you, teach you, inspire you, and train you all on your mobile device every business day. You are going to get better at business development, practice management, personal development, and your vision. Here is what you are going to get from me each month: - A 5-10 minute morning coach video each business day. - 3 training videos of 20-30 minutes each. This will be a deep dive into the four areas I mentioned above. - A live group coaching session where you and I can interact and work together. Here is what you can do each month: - Post a question to me and I will answer it. - Collaborate and associate with like-minded advisors. - Invite other great advisors into the network. Your Bottom Line: Here is the deal. I am not going to ask you for a credit card. As I said before, coaching is personality driven. You might not like my style or tactics. So with that in mind here is my offer to you. Complete the short form below. You will receive an email with detailed instructions on how to join the network for the next 14 days. I personally approve each submission so this might take a few hours or a day at the most. I will not ask for compensation of any kind during that 14 days. If after experiencing my work for 30 days you believe that I can help you, here is the deal. To remain in Magellan Network and have access to Magellan Academy, your daily investment in yourself will only be about the price of a Latte these days. One more thing, it's a month-to-month deal. I'm not going to lock you into anything. Take action now and complete the short form below and I look forward to welcoming you personally inside the Magellan Network. ► Subscribe to our channel here: https://www.youtube.com/user/CoachJoeLukacs?sub_confirmation=1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coachjoe.guru/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/coach_joe_guru/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/coachjoelukacs/ Website: https://www.magellannetwork.net/ Soundcloud: https://soundcloud.com/themagellannetwork Twitter: https://twitter.com/CoachJoeLukacs__

Hello and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. Today, I want to discuss the difference between needing a brand-new strategy versus simply executing better on what you're already doing. I recently spoke with a successful advisory team that was feeling stuck and eager to ignite growth, which sparked this discussion. They were quick to suggest new tactics—social media, seminars, digital marketing—but as we talked, I started wondering: is it really about doing more, or just doing better? In this episode, I also discussed the following: (05:42) The massive difference between growth and popularity (07:41) What advisors should consider before chasing new marketing tactics (09:39) What better execution could do for your business (15:23) Are you building a business or just a following? (16:22) A test to see if you're focusing on what works --- The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. I have spent over 30 years coaching only financial advisors. In that time, I have personally conducted over 50,000 individual coaching sessions. Hi everyone and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. It's Memorial Day weekend, which means we're entering "Period Two" here in the Magellan Network—Memorial Day to Labor Day. In this episode, I share why I love the summer and, from 30+ years of coaching advisors, why it can also be a trap without the right plan. Too often, summer turns into a blur of half-days and low productivity. But it doesn't have to be that way. I'll walk you through a few key rules and strategies to help you stay focused, energized, and ahead of the curve while still enjoying the season. I also discussed the following: (05:11) What advisors should be doing in period two (07:16) My core philosophy about retirement (10:10) Why you should never go to the office to just “hang out” (11:41) How relaxing your brain can benefit your business (17:08) How advisors can make the most of this summer The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. I have spent over 25 years coaching only financial advisors. Hello and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. Today, let's talk about what it takes to grow your business—what works, what doesn't, and how to cut through the noise. I've seen advisors try everything from seminars to social media, and while some crush it, others struggle with the same strategies. Here's the truth: if something works for someone, that doesn't mean it'll work for you. Instead of chasing every new trend, why not double down on what actually works for you? In this episode, I also discussed the following: (05:44) The problem with FOMO (08:28) The key to doubling or tripling your growth (10:25) How optimizing your relationships can produce more results (15:51) Three questions to ask yourself before using a lead gen program (17:58) Are you focusing on the right things to scale your business? --- The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. Hi everyone and welcome to The Magellan Network Show. If you've been following me over the years, you'll notice I'm not in my usual office setup—because today, I'm coming to you from the heart of Liverpool, England, where I'm wrapping up my spring sabbatical. In this episode, I'm diving into a few short but powerful reflections—why I've decided I never want to retire, what I've gained from taking regular sabbaticals, and why a strategic calendar is essential for high-performing professionals. I also discussed the following: (05:02) What if retirement isn't what fulfills you? (08:50) The biggest reason why most advisors don't take downtime (11:02) The first thing I put in my strategic calendar (13:23) Why a long weekend is not enough to recharge your batteries (20:57) Three essential tools to help plan out your sabbaticals (24:6) How to determine if you're burnt out --- The Magellan Academy & Network The rules and tools for success in the financial services industry are about to change radically. Dr. Fiona Lovely is a longevity, health and wellness expert with specialties in menopause medicine, functional neurology and functional medicine. She is speaking to the topics of women's health around perimenopause and menopause. In this week's episode, Dr. Lovely sits down with Dr. Shelly Latte-Naor — board-certified internist, integrative medicine physician, and menopause care specialist — for a deeply insightful conversation on supporting menopause for all women and in particular, in cancer survivors. With a background in mind-body medicine and a former leadership role at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, Dr. Latte-Naor brings a wealth of expertise in treating treatment-induced menopause and its often-overlooked effects on women's health post-cancer. Dr. Latte-Naor breaks down the complexities of hormone therapy in breast cancer patients, including safe uses of local estrogen and emerging research on systemic HRT. The Nitty-Gritty: The hidden toll of cancer treatments: How chemotherapy and hormone blockers can fast-track intense menopause—and why the symptoms are so often dismissed. The truth about hormone therapy in breast cancer survivors: what's safe, what's not, and why the conversation is evolving Non-hormonal solutions for hot flashes, night sweats, and sleep issues—including breakthrough medications and integrative approaches Why sleep disruptions are so common after cancer—and how improving sleep can transform recovery, cognition, and mood The emotional toll of “survivorship shock” and how to rebuild trust in your body after treatment Why self-advocacy is critical—and how to ask for the care you deserve You'll hear about non-hormonal treatment options for: hot flashes, night sweats, and sleep issues, and how foundational good sleep is to healing and recovery. She also shares powerful insights into the emotional experience of “survivorship shock” and why trauma-informed therapy and self-advocacy are key. If you or someone you know is navigating menopause after cancer (or you're just looking for more ways to support a loved one), this episode is a must-listen. It's a rallying cry for women to demand better care, advocate for themselves, and reframe survivorship as an ongoing journey—one that includes emotional healing, educated choices, and open, honest conversations. This is a message about seeing the impossible happen—where two completely opposite things like bitter and sweet stop their bickering and backbiting and finally join forces to form something neither on their own ever could. That's the make-up of a Latte. And, supposedly—for those that like lattes—this unique blend of contrasting flavors is kind of a special thing. Reconciliation is like that. It is a ministry that God has entrusted His Church in order to see two opposing factions drop their differences and, instead, embrace their similarities. Reconciliation is a miracle every time it happens. It's about time we, as the Church, begin utilizing this amazing Reconciliation ministry that we have been entrusted to serve up a few more short fat tall skinny lattes.
Today, Josh and Nicole are deciphering whether a soybean latte could be considered a three bean soup, if it's bad etiquette to order a takeout soda or drink from a sit down restaurant, learn a sugary recipe from an ambitious 1st grader, and talk a lot about Kiernan Shipka for some reason.
