The Rush Hour Melbourne Catch Up - 105.1 Triple M Melbourne - James Brayshaw and Billy Brownless
Our favourite Triple M news man Stephen Zois has given us some more gold, then Billy whips through the All Sports Report - as Travis Bazzana continues his piss missile rampage. Damian Barrett is in studio with his positives and negatives from Round 15, then JB takes centre stage in Monday Brag Artist. Billy has all the latest soccer scores with World Cup Fat, plus the latest news from cricket, footy, and the Commonwealth Games. LA Rams stars Xavier Smith and Tyler Davis are in studio as they get set to take on the San Francisco 49ers at the MCG in September - but Xavier may have heard about Billy's footy career - and he has questions! Finally, Billy finishes the show with an elephant joke.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send us Fan MailA guy rode past us during a bike event while listening to our podcast at the exact same moment. That's the kind of sentence we would have laughed at when we first hit record, and it's the perfect way to frame our 100th episode milestone. We start with classic Cycling Men of Leisure catch-up: work trips that turn into mini road adventures, the beauty of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and why moving too fast makes you miss the weird, wonderful “true America” you only find when you take the long way. Then we debut a brand-new Listener Spotlight jingle, share the fan mail that demanded it, and break down a Spotlight built around Omaha, Nebraska. From there, things get even better: Miya Sharp joins us as a surprise guest interviewer and asks the questions we didn't script, including why we started the podcast, how the original vision evolved beyond cycling, and the exact BRAG and RAGBRAI moments when strangers called us “the life of leisure” and the name finally stuck. We also get into our favorite episodes, the speakeasy tradition, the biggest travel disaster, and the one word we want the show to be known for: honest. We close by looking ahead with Tour de France energy and cycling headlines, including youth development investment (Zwift, Canyon, and Pedal Mafia) and a nod to progress in women's professional cycling. If you've ever loved the space between point A and point B, you're in the right place. Subscribe, share this with a riding buddy, and leave a review with the most unbelievable cycling moment you've ever witnessed. Many of us are carrying burdens God never intended us to carry. We carry worry, fear, anxiety, guilt, and more. Prayer is God's invitation to transfer those burdens from our shoulders to His. The Bible says “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you” (1 Peter 5:7 NLT). Prayer is not informing God of something He doesn't know. Prayer is inviting God into something we can't handle. Notes: Luke 18 As God’s child, you don’t need a badge to reach Him. Hebrews 10:19 (NLT)And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven's Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. Prayer is the Christian’s secret weapon. There is a right and a wrong way to pray. Prayer is God’s invitation to transfer those burdens He never intended for us to carry from our shoulders to His. God cares about your problem. 1Peter 5:7 (NKJV)Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Jehosaphat called the people together for prayer.2 Chronicles 20:12 God is bigger than your problem. 2 Chronicles 20:6 (NLT)“O LORD, God of our ancestors, you alone are the God who is in heaven. You are ruler of all the kingdoms of the earth. You are powerful and mighty; no one can stand against you!” Prayer is inviting God into something we can’t handle. God has His perfect timing. Read Luke 18:1–8 We need to be persistent in our prayer.Luke 18:1We all have a choice as to what we will do and to whom we will turn when a crisis hits. We can lose heart or we can pray. We should pray simply because Jesus told us to. We should pray because prayer is God’s appointed way for obtaining things. James 4:2You have not because you ask not. Luke 11:9Ask and it shall be given, seek and you shall find, knock and it will be opened to you. Prayer is the way God helps us to overcome our anxiety and worry. Philippians 4:6 (NLT)Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Philippians 4:7 (NLT)Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. You were taught not to brag.Keep your head down. Work hard. Be humble. And for a lot of high performers—especially women—that sounds like good advice. The problem?Leadership can't advocate for work they can't clearly remember. In this episode, we're talking about one of the biggest career mistakes strong employees make: assuming hard work speaks for itself.Because evaluations, promotions, and opportunities aren't just based on effort. They're based on what leadership can see, explain, and defend.✨ Theme: Visibility & AdvocacyWe're talking about why great employees often get weaker evaluations than they deserve, why documenting your impact isn't bragging, and how to make sure your contributions don't disappear into someone else's memory. You'll hear:
Send us Fan MailBig BRAG week is here, and we've got a confession: we're jealous. We're thrilled our cycling team is rolling deep with 23 riders, but it's still strange not having our own gear spread across the floor and our bikes half-packed for travel. That tension sparks a bigger conversation about what a multi-day bike ride really is when you strip away the stats. For us, BRAG isn't just a route, it's the anticipation, the shuttle chatter, the packing tricks, the “please let my bike go back together” prayers, and the way a cycling community can feel like summer camp for grown-ups.We also get real about why riding on a team makes everything better, even when people branch out into their own crews. The point isn't whose jersey you wear, it's showing up together, swapping stories, and keeping the stoke alive across the whole event. Along the way we share the small details we love, from social media updates and logistics talk to the inside-baseball humor that only cyclists appreciate, like how many “extra” screws are acceptable after rebuilding your bike (three or less, obviously). Then we shift to what matters most: cycling safety. Keep the rubber side down, watch for tracks, stay alert on trails, and look out for pedestrians and other riders. We want everyone finishing the week healthy, proud, and already telling the best stories. We also have a challenge for the road: keep an eye out for the 2026 Guess the Route winner jersey, grab a photo if you spot it, and send it our way. And don't forget to explore, find a great meal, and yes, maybe even a winery, brewery, or distillery, because making memories is part of the ride.Listen, share this with a BRAG friend, and leave us a review if the show helps you feel more connected to the cycling life. Send us Fan MailYour house might be quieter than you think, and that can be dangerous. We share a real fire safety wake-up call that sent us home to twist detectors off the ceiling and read the fine print, because smoke detectors and CO alarms can expire and “smart” models are not always the safest choice if you're not tracking lifespan and sensors. If you've ever assumed your alarms will just work forever, this conversation is your sign to test, check dates, and replace what's overdue. We also keep it firmly in our cycling lane with Brag updates and community fun, including the official “Guess The Brag Route” winner jersey and a listener challenge to grab a photo if you spot the winner wearing it on the route. Listener Spotlight brings voice fan mail and a solved puzzle that lands us in Northampton, England, complete with tunnels, shoemaking history, and a Doctor Who connection. And because we're Cycling Men of Leisure, we zigzag into the good stuff: a genuinely surprised review of the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium, a quick hit of bike infrastructure news from Seattle and New York City (including why protected bike lanes help everyone), and a pro cycling check-in with Giro d'Italia stats that sound almost impossible. We even circle back to the strange little “99 and 44/100% pure” Ivory Soap mystery and why 99 is a legendary number in sports. If you like laid-back cycling talk with real-world takeaways, subscribe, share the show with a riding buddy, and leave a review so more people can find us. The business is your customer. The learner is your consumer. If you've been thinking about it the other way round, this episode will make you think a little differently.Tracie Cantu, Senior Learning Leader and author of Running L&D Like a Business, opens with the idea that when L&D designs for the wrong “customer,” teams end up busy, but not necessarily effective. The result is often more content with outcomes that don't match.Think learning needs to be formal? Think again. A post-it note on a monitor can be learning if it helps someone do their job, because in some cases, the best L&D output is a job aid, not a course.Governance comes up as well, which Tracie describes it as bowling alley bumper guards. The structure helps teams make decisions without waiting for approval at every step.Learning points from the episode include:00:00 – 01:06 Introduction01:06 – 03:29 Tracie's book and why she wrote it03:29 – 07:05 The difference between a customer and consumer07:05 – 09:07 Choosing the right format for the right moment09:07 – 13:41 AI, job loss, and the rise of L&D business partners13:41 – 20:59 Letting go of the wheel and empowering others to self-serve20:59 – 24:41 Governance, intake management, and treating learning like a portfolio24:41 – 27:11 The 72% onboarding data and proving learning impact27:11 – 29:15 Brag like the sales team29:15 – 30:37 Where to find Tracie30:37 – 32:22 OutroImportant links and mentions:Buy Tracie's book: https://traciewroteabook.com Visit Tracie's consulting firm: https://yourclo.netConnect with Tracie Cantu on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/traciemcantu/Learn more about Camtasia: https://www.techsmith.com/camtasia/

TRIP LEE - OFFICIAL SITEUpon initial consideration, it would appear that praise and worship music doesn't exactly go hand in hand with hip hop. After all, the thought of syncopated beats and rhythms highlighted by the spoken word in a Sunday morning church service might be hard to comprehend for some. Not so fast. Rapper Trip Lee has always believed that cultural expression could naturally meet congregational worship. With the launch of BRAG Worship, a musical collective born from his long-standing BRAG movement, there is a strong conviction to forge a culturally forward sound created for both corporate and personal worship.“I'm not a worship leader, but I am a worshipper,” says Lee, who has previously released eight albums and spent years in pastoral ministry. “This music, this collective, it's for us. This is my expression of it."Seeing the hip hop musical genre blended with worship as a vital discipleship tool, Lee and BRAG Worship have released a new EP titled, For Your Glory. His hope is to broaden what worship can sound like while remaining focused on the greatness of God.Lee joins us to discuss how pastoral ministry helped prepare him for this project. Listen as this thoughtfully engaging influencer shares the vital need to bring some unity to the Church, and how worship music needs to become a broader concept as we move into the future.

I don't want to toot my own horn… …but it's sitting right here, polished, gleaming, practically begging for a solo.I told you what 2026 was going to look like. Not vaguely. Not horoscope-style. Not “Mercury's in retrograde, watch your feelings.”I called it.And now I'm adding to my predictions like some kind of political Nostradamus… if Nostradamus had Wi-Fi, a backbone, and zero patience for stupidity.Which raises a real question…How are millions of people not listening to this show every day?I mean, I get it, some folks enjoy being wrong in real time. That's kind of the Democrat brand. But still…For those of you who are here, congratulations. You've chosen correctly. History will be kind to you. Or at least less embarrassing.Because today's show? It's going to be just like every other show we do… which is awesome…Only better.Because right now, on the Conservative war front, it's not just good news… it's a highlight reel. We're coming off a weekend that looked less like politics and more like a victory parade that nobody in the mainstream media wants to admit is happening.Let's start here…Artemis II just launched under a rebuilt NASA. Now I won't pretend I predicted that specific launch… I'm good, not psychic.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
***Apologies for the audio issues***Let's dive into the evolution of cinematic surveillance by comparing Francis Ford Coppola's masterpiece The Conversation (1974) with the high-stakes thriller Relay (2024). We look at how the analog paranoia of Harry Caul's world finds its modern echo in today's digital era of middlemen and encrypted secrets. We talk about whether the classic "lonely professional" trope holds up when updated for a world where everyone is always connected yet perpetually watched. Lena is joined by her buffoon co-hosts Joel, Joel and Jackson to eventually discuss the problems with superpowers in job interviews. Jackson displays a problematic amount of whimsy, JD is out for Jackson's blood before we even start the show and Zammit and Lena have somehow synched up their lives. We open with playful “secret agent” teasing and a check-in on the job search, detour into bourbon dreams and Peerless Distillery legends (yes, including Patton's pistol), and then arrive at the true center of this journey: honoring a father whose love of cycling sparked a friendship and a community. From there, we talk frankly about dementia—what early changes can look like, why quick screening matters, and how new treatments may slow decline. We share small, practical steps for brain health: cutting processed sugar, choosing aluminum-free deodorant, and staying mindful about what touches your skin and rides in your bottle. That thread expands into everyday product safety, from cookware to the surprising places metals still hide, without fear-mongering or hype.Because our map always includes wonder, we celebrate global listeners and reveal a delightfully specific gem: Yuma, Arizona—the sunniest city in the U.S., proud home of a New Year's lettuce drop and a rich military testing history. We swap ride fuel favorites (Payday vs. Three Musketeers), post-ride rewards, and the strangest cargo we've ever hauled—like an RV seat cushion and two mysterious ball-peen hammers found miles apart on the same day. Studio upgrades get a nod, BRAG plans stay in motion, and the road ahead looks open.If you're here for cycling stories, grief handled with care, and the kind of travel that chooses leisure on purpose, you'll feel at home. In this blunt episode of The Unapologetic Man Podcast, host Mark Sing exposes a subtle but deadly attraction killer most men fall for without realizing it: the brag trap. Understanding God's character prevents confusion and false worship.Do you truly understand the God you claim to know? In this episode, Rick Hughes explains why no one can approach a perfectly righteous God without receiving equal righteousness through faith alone in Jesus Christ. From Jeremiah 9:24, we learn that if we boast at all, it should be that we understand and know the Lord.
