Sharing stories of God’s goodness isn’t bragging—it’s obedience. Psalm 9:1 calls us to give thanks with our whole hearts and boldly speak about the wonderful things God has done. In a world filled with criticism, division, and constant noise, our testimonies become powerful reminders that God is still active, still providing, and still working in the lives of His people. Gratitude grows when we speak it out loud, and joy follows when we point everything back to Him. Highlights Testimonies strengthen faith—ours and the faith of those who hear them (Psalm 9:1). Sharing God’s goodness publicly isn’t boasting when the glory goes to Him. Gratitude helps guard our hearts against negativity, comparison, and discouragement. A thankful posture begins with honest self-reflection and, when needed, confession. Blessings—big or small—become fuel for worship when we acknowledge God as their source. Speaking about God’s deeds invites both believers and non-believers to notice His presence. Shifting our mindset from complaint to praise reshapes our spiritual outlook and our witness. Full Transcript Below: Tell of God’s Wonderful DeedsBy: Michelle Lazurek Bible Reading:“I will give thanks to you, Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds.” — Psalm 9:1 A few months ago, I arranged a meeting with a publisher for two of my clients. Within an hour, we secured two book contracts for them. We were thrilled! Before the publisher ended the call, I asked if she could stay on for a few more minutes. I also had a book I wanted to pitch to them, and by God's grace, I had secured a contract for myself! I wanted to share God’s goodness, so I posted on social media. I couldn’t wait to share about his goodness at that moment. I aimed for it to be a testimony to others struggling to get a contract, letting them know that even though this book had been sitting on my laptop for years, God had finally found a place for it. Although some people later told me that I was bragging about my accomplishments, I truly took it as an opportunity to acknowledge God's goodness. We are called to share what God has done in our lives. In this chaotic world we live in, it's easy to hear criticism on social media and in various parts of our lives. What we need more of are testimonies of how God is moving in and through us. The above verse reminds us that we are to tell of God's wondrous deeds. This is an excellent way for us to keep an attitude of gratitude, especially as we approach the holidays. With all the political posts and division plaguing our country, we need to be people who tell of God's good deeds, not the horrible things we wish we could fix. Take a moment and analyze your life. Are you someone who often tells of God's wondrous deeds? Does this help you keep an attitude of gratitude? Do you find yourself complaining more than rejoicing? Although keeping a thankful attitude can be difficult, it is important to maintain it each day. It may be as simple as counting your blessings, even the ones you take for granted. Other times, it might involve making a grand gesture for someone as an act of kindness to show them Christ’s love in tangible ways. Regardless of the way you choose, tell of God's wondrous deeds. Brag on the Lord. Give him credit for everything in your life. Don't let anything get in the way of you celebrating all that God has done. Have you found that difficult? Analyze your heart. Do you have unconfessed sin or another area of your life that might be hindering you from truly rejoicing in the Lord? Go to Him and confess your sin. Afterwards, take a few moments to get out a blank journal and start writing down your blessings. This will transform your attitude as quickly as possible. Additionally, if you find yourself taking credit for things happening in your life instead of giving credit to God, it's likely your attitude is wrong. Repent of this behavior. Know that God is in control of all things in your life. Everything good you have in your life comes from him. The quicker you can adopt this perspective, the quicker you can change your attitude and pivot it to giving God all the glory he deserves. Vow to tell people of all the wondrous deeds he has done. Take a week and post on social media the great things God has done. Be in tune with the spirit and be on the lookout for all the ways God is working in your life. Be sure to tell others, both through social media and in person, all the things God has done. Do this with believers and non-believers, and you may find that non-believers are attracted to your example. As Christians, we are known more for what we are against rather than what we are for. Let us change our perspective so that people forget about us and always remember the Lord. Father, let us be people who tell of your wondrous deeds. Let us find various ways to celebrate all the things that you are doing. Let us give you all the praise and glory you deserve in multiple ways every day. Amen. Dr. Tom Davis preaches about Corinthians 1:24-31.
Episode 55 looks at the first batch of results released about the 'Winnipeg Transit Violent Crime Intervention Strategy' and the enforcement focus on fare-jumpers.Marty Gold evaluates the numbers, including attempted fare skipping and those who took a hike when asked at the bus stops to verify they had the money to pay. There are also statistics on criminal charges laid by cops for either on-the-spot infractions or for prior cases. The numbers show how out of control things were allowed to get. While Mayor Scott Gillingham and Public Works chair Janice Lukes are lauding the way the initiative has addressed violent and disruptive behaviour and enhanced Transit safety, their comments may rub some folks the wrong way. Especially when the public is told "we need everyone to do their part" yet the situation was allowed to get out of control by City Councillors refusing to have fare collection enforced years ago. There's more bells and whistles coming too - a "fare education campaign" and a Transit megaphone announcing fare paymen is required as buses pull up.to stops. That's another example of something that could have been implemented last year, and didn't have to wait until the next civic election was on the horizon.******Our latest columns in the Winnipeg Sun:Nov. 5- "Despite the ongoing chaos, visible fire hazards, dirty used needles and close proximity to a child care facility and high-density residential properties, the city allowed the situation to continue until, on Sunday, there were two major blazes– one at each of those locations - within 12 hours. What is humbleness?Ask this yourself? My brother said humbleness is a decoration but you advance much more without!Yes, he is correct but never could understand life! When you heard the Boxing Champion Muhammed Ali shouting that he is the greatest…And later he died with dementia and his body was trembling… What for a disgrace…If you compare the life from Muhammed Ali with the German Boxing Champion Max Schmeling … Max Schmeling agenda was: Never to brag.To be honest and loyal to every price. To sacrifice his money for the needy. And even to risk his life for Jews that he helped…He died well respected with 99 and even was rich… Braggers don't make it. For every I you have to suffer. (Sufi Proverb) If we say, for instance, “I am the greatest” then we get punished for that… Try it out: Brag and watch what happens afterward. I was growing up under terrible conditions, my family treated me like sh*t.When I was studying, I had to visit my family, and that was awful… Even I helped all the time, but my deficit is that I am honest and tell what I think… We had a servant who was cleaning and also cooking sometimes ..She was a simple woman who had lost her husband in the war and… My mother treated her so badly and disrespectful, she still stuck to her work and never complained…When I came home every 3 months she was so cheerful and happy when she saw me…I even didn't respect that, because I was rather more fixated on my sorrow that I experienced with my family…I knew her my entire childhood until I separated from my family…Yes, she was humble… She saw the beauty that other people don't see with an open heart… And so she enjoyed her life, after so much hardships…Other example We had in the neighborhood an old peasant woman. She owned a small farm, her husband died already and her kids moved out of her farm…She invited a young couple with a kid to join her for a small rent… She was all the time busy to help. We as kids were every day at her home and playing…As a simple old woman she could be together with young people and kids instead of living isolated… And she was also rich, but she never told that… Humbleness was on her agenda… Guess, she could enjoy her life and was healthy until she died when she was sleeping…Humbleness makes you enjoy your life… My Video: Humbleness https://youtu.be/mPScWGsAmewMy Audio: https://divinesuccess.net/wp-content/uploads/2021/Podcast1/Humbleness.mp3

When it comes to giving yourself credit for your wins and accomplishments, how would you rate yourself? Are you a strong self-promoter? Do you share your accomplishments with others and routinely make it known that you're up to great things? Or, do you tend to shy away from shining too brightly in front of others? As women leaders, we're often taught to keep our heads down, work hard, and let our results speak for themselves. But here's the truth: results don't speak. People do. If we're not willing to talk about our wins, we're missing out on opportunities to advance our careers, inspire other women, and rewrite what leadership visibility looks like. In this episode, I'm diving into why women need to brag more and how we can do it in ways that feel authentic, strategic, inspiring, and empowering to others. I'll unpack how women consistently undersell themselves compared to men, even when they're performing at the same or higher levels. We'll explore how cultural conditioning, fear of backlash, and the “be humble” narrative keep women from taking rightful credit for their accomplishments. I'll also talk about how self-promotion isn't egotistical or arrogant, but rather a form of advocacy. It's a way to own your impact, document your growth, and create a ripple effect that encourages other women to step into their power. You'll walk away from this episode with tangible strategies to brag smart, from reframing your wins as stories of impact to finding ways to normalize sharing success within your teams and networks. Whether you're climbing the ladder, leading a team, or mentoring others, this episode will help you show up more visibly, confidently, and unapologetically as the accomplished leader you already are. It's time to stop playing small and start celebrating yourself because when women brag, we all rise. Fjölþáttaógnir færðust nær Íslandi þegar loka þurfti Kastrup -flugvelli í Kaupmannahöfn vegna óþekktra dróna. Aðstoðaryfirlögregluþjónn hjá ríkislögreglustjóra segir óvinveittum ríkjum hafa orðið ágengt með þennan hernað sinn; ein lítil og eðlileg bilun geti sett stjórnkerfið af stað. Sérfræðingur í samgöngurannsóknum segir að innviðafélag, líkt og innviðaráðherra vill stofna, ætti að geta leyst úr fjölda verkefna sem lengi hafa legið ókláruð í vegakerfinu. Þar megi ekki einblína of mikið á jarðgöng. Mörg önnur verkefni séu afar brýn, eins og brúagerð og langir kaflar á hringveginum. Útgerðarmenn og bæjaryfirvöld í Stykkishólmi kalla eftir að ráðherra gefi út reglugerð um skel- og rækjubætur tafarlaust þrátt fyrir að endurskoðun byggðakerfis í sjávarútvegi standi yfir. Þótt skelbætur hafi átt að vera tímabundin ráðstöfun benda þau á að gera þurfi upp ójafnvægi í úthlutun veiðiheimilda frá árdögum fiskveiðistjórnunarkerfisins.

Have you ever talked up the taste of Louisville's water to someone visiting the area? If so you wouldn't be alone. On this week's Access Louisville podcast, Editor-in-Chief Shea Van Hoy speaks with Spencer Bruce about the reasons behind that — including the marketing effort that aims to make Louisvillians feel proud of the water. Bruce shares a story about a time that he overheard a restaurant waiter bragging about the taste of the water to a tourist — music to his ears, of course."It's important that the community, that our customers trust us," Bruce said on the show. He added that there's an educational effort underway as well, rather than just pure marketing."We like to say we want to raise next the generation of children to understand the value of water." Bruce also shares some updates on a few milestones from the Louisville Water Co., including a bond it just took out to fund some new infrastructure projects. In August, Louisville Water announced it sold $233 million in bonds, the largest sale in the company's 165-year history. This bond sale was the first issuance since 2022 and more than 75% of the funding supports four projects: upgrades to the Crescent Hill Water Treatment Plant (the largest treatment plant in Kentucky), installing new residual lines for water treatment, supporting regional growth along the Interstate 65 corridor and relining the Crescent Hill Reservoir."Like every utility it's critical that we reinvest in ourselves," he said.Louisville Water supplies drinking water to nearly one million people in Louisville Metro and surrounding communities. On average, the company produces 131 million gallons each day.Access Louisville is a weekly podcast from Louisville Business First. It's available on popular podcast services including Apple Podcasts and Spotify.

In the Anonymous Inbox, we help a listener who just got hit with a really expensive vet bill after getting into an altercation with a pet owner and their dogs that they don't think is their fault.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Will Kohberger Brag About His Crime In Court? Bryan Kohberger's decision to plead guilty to the Idaho student murders sent shockwaves through the public—but what might happen when he gets a chance to speak publicly at sentencing? Retired FBI Behavioral Chief Robin Dreeke breaks down the unsettling possibility that Kohberger might use his sentencing hearing to brag or grandstand about his crimes. Dreeke examines past examples of narcissistic offenders who've used courtroom statements as platforms to boast or manipulate public perception, exploring the psychology behind why some killers feel compelled to make shocking, self-aggrandizing statements even after admitting guilt. He assesses Kohberger's known psychological traits, including his reported narcissism, desire for infamy, and perceived superiority, to analyze whether he is likely to turn his final moments in the public eye into a disturbing spectacle of self-glorification. Listeners will learn how law enforcement and courtroom officials typically prepare for such scenarios, ensuring that victim families are protected from further emotional harm during sentencing statements. Dreeke provides expert insight into the warning signs that Kohberger could exhibit during his final court appearance, and whether his legal team can—or will—even try to stop him from making inflammatory remarks. This episode is an essential exploration of the psychological compulsions that drive killers to brag about their crimes publicly and the impact such statements have on the justice process, the victims' families, and society's broader understanding of criminal psychology.
