Too many social impact leaders step into donor meetings with a bold vision — but an unclear case for why anyone should support it.Your case for support isn't just a fundraising tool — it's a strategic asset that can align your messaging, mobilize your team, and inspire serious investment in your mission. But only if you get it right. In this episode, Eric and Jonathan walk through a 5-part framework to help you build a clear, compelling case that connects with hearts and minds — and opens doors.➔ Why most cases for support skip the one question every donor is asking. ➔ The five ingredients of a persuasive narrative (and how to use them beyond fundraising). ➔ How to tailor your pitch without losing your integrity. ➔ Why “bragging” is essential — and how to do it without turning people off. ➔ A practical way to turn your case into a year-long content and management tool.Whether you're prepping for a major campaign or just trying to sharpen your story, this episode will help you rethink your approach — and give your supporters a reason to say yes.Don't just ask for support. Make the case.Episode Highlights:[00:00] Why your case for support must start with clarity[01:24] Why this isn't just for capital campaigns[02:40] Step 1 – The Why[04:27] Step 2 – The Vision[07:44] Step 3 – The Strategy[10:30] Step 4 – Credibility[12:53] Brag or stay humble? Will Kohberger Brag About His Crime In Court? Bryan Kohberger's decision to plead guilty to the Idaho student murders sent shockwaves through the public—but what might happen when he gets a chance to speak publicly at sentencing? Retired FBI Behavioral Chief Robin Dreeke breaks down the unsettling possibility that Kohberger might use his sentencing hearing to brag or grandstand about his crimes. Dreeke examines past examples of narcissistic offenders who've used courtroom statements as platforms to boast or manipulate public perception, exploring the psychology behind why some killers feel compelled to make shocking, self-aggrandizing statements even after admitting guilt. He assesses Kohberger's known psychological traits, including his reported narcissism, desire for infamy, and perceived superiority, to analyze whether he is likely to turn his final moments in the public eye into a disturbing spectacle of self-glorification. Listeners will learn how law enforcement and courtroom officials typically prepare for such scenarios, ensuring that victim families are protected from further emotional harm during sentencing statements. Dreeke provides expert insight into the warning signs that Kohberger could exhibit during his final court appearance, and whether his legal team can—or will—even try to stop him from making inflammatory remarks. This episode is an essential exploration of the psychological compulsions that drive killers to brag about their crimes publicly and the impact such statements have on the justice process, the victims' families, and society's broader understanding of criminal psychology. High profit? Sounds like a dream. But is your law firm's profitability actually as valuable as you think it is to a buyer? In this episode, our host Victoria Collier breaks down why impressive profit margins aren't always enough to close the deal.  She dives into the critical questions buyers are asking today, about staffing, systems, and sustainability, and why many high-profit firms fail to deliver when it counts. If you're planning to sell your law firm, or considering buying one, this episode will help you see beyond the numbers and understand what truly drives value in a firm. 3 Key Takeaways 1. Buyers want a business, not a job. 2. Staffing and systems tell the real story. 3. Brag about your numbers — but back them up. Victoria Collier is a seasoned attorney, entrepreneur, and expert in law firm sales and valuations. With a background in law and accounting, including her prior military service and CPA training, she brings a unique perspective on the financial intricacies of business valuations. Victoria helps transform law firms into more valuable and sellable businesses, guiding attorneys through life after law.   We want to hear from you! Send us a textThe Georgia hills couldn't break us! Picking up where we left off, Adam and Michael complete their wild journey across Georgia with the BRAG cycling event, sharing every triumph, challenge, and laugh along the way.Our layover day in Dawsonville delivers pure adrenaline as we race high-performance go-karts at AMP track, where Michael edges out Adam by just four one-hundredths of a second (a fact Adam graciously acknowledges... eventually). But the adventure doesn't stop there—we hike 475 stairs to witness the majestic Amicalola Falls, proving that cycling men of leisure occasionally enjoy adventures on foot too.The camaraderie of the cycling community shines throughout our journey. Our team dinner brings together 33 riders from across the country, many meeting for the first time despite sharing this passion for years. We're unexpectedly showered with gifts of regional whiskeys and massive flasks—tokens of appreciation that highlight the generous spirit of our growing community. Later, we host an impromptu "speakeasy" under the BRAG tent, sharing drinks and stories as rain patters overhead.Franklin Johnson, Executive Director of BRAG, joins us to discuss this year's successful northern route. With nearly 900 riders tackling the challenging hills, Franklin shares insights on weather conditions, safety measures, and the unique appeal of Georgia's less-traveled roads. From bone-rattling South Carolina pavement to the infamous "Medusa Hill" that forced 90% of riders to walk, each mile offered its own story.Whether you're planning your own cross-state adventure or simply enjoy tales from the road, this episode captures the essence of what makes cycling special—it's never just about the destination, but the journey and the people we meet along the way. Michael reveals his reliance on Weather Underground and Radar Scope for detailed storm tracking, while Adam demonstrates his strategic method of saving multiple destination points in his weather app to monitor conditions across entire routes. What if bragging actually helped grow your private practice instead of turning people off? I recently shared in my newsletter how I generated over $100,000 in sales in just six weeks, and you know what? I felt uncomfortable sharing that - which was my sign I needed to brag MORE. As therapists, we're taught to downplay our success because it's "not polite," but did you know that constantly focusing on what's not working actually leads straight to burnout? In today's episode, I break down why celebrating wins isn't just okay - it's essential for your private practice longevity. I'll walk you through three different types of brags, show you exactly how to start celebrating yourself, and explain why this practice creates confidence and resilience. Plus, I share specific places where you can safely practice bragging with supportive communities.Ready to fill your cup while running your private practice? This simple habit might be the preventative medicine you need. I've got a quick challenge at the end that you can complete in minutes to start experiencing the benefits immediately.Topics covered in this episode:How women are specifically conditioned to downplay accomplishmentsThe connection between bragging and preventing burnout in your private practiceThe surprising reason why bragging is actually good for the people around you tooThe science behind our negativity bias and why we need to intentionally work against itThree different types of brags and safe places to share your bragsResources from this episode:Healing Money Facebook groupLiberated Business: www.thebadtherapist.coach/liberatedbusinessConnect with Felicia:Get my freebie & join the email list: The Magic SheetsInstagram: @the_bad_therapistWebsite: www.thebadtherapist.coachRelated episodes:Quarter Two Planning: How to Stay Accountable & Consistent in Your Business Goals [Ep 110]Quarter Two Planning: How to Set Strategic Goals for Your Private Practice [Ep 109]Quarter Two Planning Series: How to Assess Your First Quarter & Create a Clear Roadmap for Your Private Practice [Ep 108]Quote:"Bragging is like preventative medicine—it fills your cup and keeps you going." - Felicia

In Medicare Advantage Minute: we learn about a prestigious study conducted in Boston. The results showed that patients with MA have out-of-pocket expenses that are very close to those with Medicare supplement coverage, in spite of all the crowing about additional free benefits. In the "Your Medicare Benefits 2024" segment we learn how Medicare covers "enteral" nutrition supplies and equipment. Unfortunately, we never hear a definition of the term "enteral"! In response to a valued client, I share my dissection of the cost advantage of HDG over Plan G. This is an esoteric concept with tangible, real world monetary profits to be enjoyed no matter how much or how little medical treatment is needed. New client Mark wrote an Amazon review of the 2025 edition of MLM. He was surprised to fine out that Amazon rules forbid carrying reviews forward from the prior year's edition.
