A stylistic throwback to the summer camp films of the 80's and 90's, Camp Manna is the story of a Christian camp turned upside-down by the arrival of the wayward “new kid,” Ian Fletcher. A fun movie for the whole family to enjoy during the holidays. Camp Manna exposes the hilarity of a Christian subculture which often misrepresented its own messages of forgiveness, tolerance, and love. Evan Koons is a producer, writer, and actor. Perhaps best known for the viral sensation “Church Appropriate Dance Moves,” Even was also the host and co-writer of the 7-part series “For the Life of the World: Letters to the Exiles.” He penned the acclaimed hospice documentary “Except for Six,” a film Ken Burns called “heartfelt and important.” He also wrote for Exploring Kaman, a reality television series about NRB All-Star Chris Kaman. CBS Sports said it “looks insane.” It was. Other credits include “Pirate's Code: The Adventures of Mickey Matson” with Christopher Lloyd. Most recently, Evan was cast as Russell on Season 8 of Chicago Fire.On DVD and Streaming PlatformsWebsite: https://www.campmannathemovie.com/Trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvCCS-cSEf8

Camp Manna Co-Director Eric Johnson and Star Evan Koons Talk About The Film's Release Available on VOD and DVD, Friday, October 15, 2021. When I first read the description of Camp Manna, I was a little apprehensive about seeing the film. Although, I am not an Evangelical Protestant, I do have a bit of a soft spot for my Christian brethren on complete opposite end of the pendulum swing of Christianity. When I heard Gary Busey was going to be the head camp counselor, I really got worried, but after seeing Camp Manna, I realized we often satirize what we enjoy and if we can't laugh at ourselves, then who can we laugh at? Luckily, I was able to chat with co-director Eric Johnson and one of the stars of Camp Manna, Evan Koons and chat about the film, the process in making it and the casting as a whole. We even poke fun at our various denominations within Christendom. Camp Manna will be available on VOD and DVD, Friday, October 15, 2021.
