It's our first guest episode! Our guest today is Dan Adler. Daniel Adler-Golden began his career in cannabis on the east coast before moving to California to work in the regulated industry. Before founding Node, Daniel organized the Chalice Festival, a large music and cannabis festival in southern California. With operations in the US, Portugal, and Israel, Daniel focuses on providing performance-based genetic solutions across the world. Node Labs is based in the Bay Area and is a state of the art micro tissue culture lab. Tissue Culture allows cannabis growers to create new plants from existing ones without going through the process of nurturing cuttings, something that is relatively new to cannabis and it was great to hear what Dan had to say about the process and its future in this industry! As always, we round out the episode with another installment of our 2head/5head segment and much more! This episode was a blast, go follow Node Labs on Instagram @nodelabs and be sure to follow Dan @dadlergold Be sure to also follow the podcast at @twodabspod and hit the link below for our YouTube channel: https://youtube.com/@twodabspod Find out more at https://two-dabs.pinecast.co This podcast is powered by Pinecast.
Bobby "Bobo the Sequel" Roses, lead singer and bassist from the Vallejo, CA based band, Skunk Funk joins us on this episode of the podcast. Funky, Punky and Intergalactic, Skunk Funk has an eclectic "west coast" type of sound and vibe that is ever expanding. Their sole mission to bring every crowd they woo an animated, yet uplifting and off the wall experience, and a spellbinding fusion of Punk/Funk/Ska is their medium of choice in their battle against degradation and lameness. They've pulled from an array of influences ranging from funk to ska to punk to metal and their energetic live shows have earned them chances to perform at iconic venues in the bay area and around the west coast. They've performed at numerous festivals such as Bottle Rock Napa Valley, Chalice Festival, Hemp Con, Heart and Soulstice Festival, Reggae in the Trees (OR), Sacramento Hemp Fest, Napa Porchfest, and have shared the stage with such notable acts as The Black Keys, Zac Brown Band, Primus, Violent Femmes, Joan Jett, Cake, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Train, Michael Franti, Bad Religion, The Black Crowes, The Flaming Lips, Mystic Roots, Paul Wall and more. Off to a prolific start, the band has independently released an EP entitled Too Fresh to Function and a full-length album entitled Possession 4 Sale. Their 2018 EP, Cirque Du Skank, was accompanied by a music video, and a new full-length album, Skunk Soup, was served up 1/23/2021. They plan on recording and performing live again in 2022, when it is safe to do so. Down to earth and humble, Bobby was a great guest to wrap 2021. We got some insight into his band and talked about the ESP usuals; influences, gigs (and when they'll finally be back to stay), recording (and leaning to do it remote in the midst of a pandemic), cuisine, the Bermuda triangle of shitty bands and something group called "boy island"?? Whatever it was, it was crap and we all laughed at it. Thanks for listening! For more on Skunk Funk: Website | Spotify | Facebook | Instagram | YouTube

In this week’s episode, Brandon interviews Dan Adler-Golden, founder and CEO of Node Labs. Dan and his team are helping cultivators manage their genetics, use micropropagation and tissue culture technology to clean their plants, and supply them with clones when needed. Node Labs and others like them are essential to the cannabis cultivation community. While traditional agriculture has extensive nurseries, cannabis does not. Dan saw this issue from his days running the Chalice Festival, and decided to find a solution. Now Node is becoming the Driscoll’s of cannabis! With a recently acquired genetics company and 2nd facility, Node is currently raising capital to fund their growth. Learn more about the world of cultivation, breeding, clones, and cannabis nurseries in this week’s awesome episode. Tune in, listen up, and get acquainted!

Steve Clayton was a 7th grade teacher with a love for DJing; a vocation he used to earn some extra cash. Self-taught, and relying primarily on grit and determination, Steve took his tiny DJing side business, Soundskilz, and built it into an industry-leading major event production and talent booking company, landing festival headliners including Wu Tang Clan and Ice Cube. One event alone, the annual Chalice Festival held outside of Los Angles, Steve grew from 8,000 attendees to almost 40,000 in just four years. No long spinning records, Steve, a self-made man, is now teaching and coaching other would-be entrepreneurs of all types how to develop their own entrepreneurial hits, and this week, he shares some of his favorite business tunes with host and reputation coach Dean Rotbart. Wow this ended up being an insane podcast. Mike has always been an awesome guest to have on. He is very knowledgeable in the world of cannabis and Act-16. Mike as you know has made a huge impact in Philadelphia's cannabis community. He has been speaking up for a plant that he uses as medicine for 6 years now. He was involved in the decrim bill that was passed just 2 years ago. Mike is now speaking up about doctors that are missrepresenting themselves on their websites claiming they are cannabis doctors and experts. The problem with this is that ACT16 has not started yet. Doctors as of July 26th 2017 are now able to register and take the 4 hour class to be able to prescribe medical cannabis to a patient. One Dr in particular , Dr. Matthew Roman was charging people in Philadelphia 200-300 dollars for an initial vist and 100 for follow us. He was giving a false promise of putting a patient in the front of the line to receive a card once the state issued them. Not only is this illegal it is highly unethical to make such claims and take people's money. At minute 49:40 Dr Roman was obviously watching the live facebook feed and decided it was a good time to call in and interupt my podcast to talk to Mike. This made for a very interesting podcast and I think you will enjoy this episode. Thanks again to the Wrecking Crew! You guys are the best.
Our guest this week is an expert on what he calls “visionary healing”—that is, healing the body and mind with the power of psychotropic plants like cannabis, mushrooms and cacti. His name is Eddie Funxta, and he’s the owner of Funxta West Coast and Native Healing Oils—purveyors of full-plant organic cannabis oil (like Rick Simpson Oil, only he’s not Rick Simpson!). He’s also a media liaison/brand ambassador for Chalice Festival and Hitman brand. He and Bobby discuss microdosing, how Chalice came about, and how his cannabis oil has changed and saved the lives of many seriously ill patients. Plus: a recap of the week’s headiest headlines in The Burndown.
