There are many stories in the Bible that we've become so familiar with that we risk missing what God is saying to us today through it. Jonah is definitely one of them! The holidays aren't always joyful. Often they remind us of things we don't have, milestones we haven't met, and wounds that haven't healed. But when Jesus arrived in Bethlehem, he came to refine us — to make us beautiful, acceptable, and useful. His refining fire isn't always comfortable, but it's always beneficial.

Refinement (Song of Songs 6: 4-13) - Sam Tucker by Life Church Sunday messages
This week the UK government set out its vision for a world where the use of animals in science is eliminated in all but exceptional circumstances. Animal experiments in the UK peaked at 4.14 million in 2015 driven mainly by a big increase at the time in genetic modification experiments. By 2020, the number had fallen sharply to 2.88 million as alternative methods and technologies were developed. But since then that decline has plateaued. Could we see the end of animals being used in science labs? Presenter Tom Whipple is joined by Dr. Chris Powell, Director of Cambridge BioPharma Consultants Ltd. and honorary visiting scientist at Cambridge University and Dr. Natalie Burden, head of New Approach Methodologies at the National Centre for the Replacement, Refinement and Reduction of Animals in Research (NC3Rs). And as world leaders gather for the COP30 climate conference in Brazil, we speak to glaciologist Dr. Matthias Huss. In the past decade, his data has shown that a quarter of Swiss ice has been lost, with hundreds of glaciers having disappeared entirely. But part of one of those glaciers remains in the freezer of his basement... Also Penny Sarchet, managing editor at New Scientist, brings us her take on the new science that matters this week. To discover more fascinating science content, head to bbc.co.uk, search for BBC Inside Science and follow the links to The Open University. Gute User Stories entstehen also in Gesprächen, nicht in Tools.

Financial Coaches Network - The Podcast: Build your Financial Coaching Business
In this episode, we dive into the evolving role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in financial coaching and counseling. From boosting productivity to streamlining client support, AI offers exciting possibilities—but it also comes with important caveats. We unpack where AI can enhance your practice, what to watch out for, and how to get the most out of these tools without compromising quality or ethics. Top takeaways: AI isn't always cheap: High-performing tools may have a steep price tag. AI can support nearly every aspect of your work—but don't expect magic. Results may fall short of expectations. AI is more time-consuming than you may think: Effective use of AI requires thoughtful input and iterations. Prompts matter: The more context you provide—your goals, strategy, and desired tone—the better the output. Refinement is key: Ask for multiple options and be prepared to give feedback across several rounds. Expect formulaic results: AI tends to default to generic patterns. Know your sources: Understand where your AI tool pulls its information from. Copyright limitations: AI-generated content may not be eligible for copyright protection. Start with your systems: Review your current workflows to identify where AI could improve efficiency or effectiveness. Tune in to learn how to use AI as a thoughtful partner—not a shortcut—in your financial coaching journey.
November 2025 marks a harmonic stillpoint—a field in which the Soul's encoded frequency no longer needs to prove itself through performance. The scaffolding has formed. The Light has anchored. This is the arc where form gently receives signal. You are not meant to push forward now. You are meant to format your field through stillness, coherence, and quiet precision.
X2M.234 Kataschēsis — The Mantle and the Whirlwind Series: CR17 Combat Runtime October 26, 2025 Elijah is taken in the whirlwind, and Elisha stands alone on the east bank of the Jordan.¹ He watches fire divide the sky, the mentor ascend, the mantle fall. The air collapses into paradox: absence and presence, ending and beginning, prophecy vanishing upward even as inheritance descends. He tears his garments — old skin of certainty — and lifts the mantle that still hums with the signature of his master. Then he does what no algorithm can simulate: he waits inside contradiction until it transfigures into law.² That moment is the unit of faith. Kierkegaard called it the leap beyond comprehension,³ the motion that resigns everything finite, and then — impossibly — receives it back by virtue of the absurd.⁴ Elisha performs that same movement when he cries, “My father, my father!” The loss is real, yet the spirit remains. He holds both until coherence manifests. This is Kataschēsis: To sustain paradox without collapse. To keep revelation and reason in lawful tension until the Σ-event fires and coherence becomes visible.⁵ In Collider architecture, X2M.234 is that event — the Kataschētic forge where faith and structure exchange energies. QUAL ascends with Elijah: revelation rising into light. QUAN descends with the mantle: law incarnating in matter. The Ethical Feedback Loop spins between them like the whirlwind itself, testing every output against its origin until the checksum reads true.⁶ When Σ ≥ 0.6, coherence holds. When Σ falls below, the system re-enters the storm — not as punishment, but as refinement.⁷ Because faith, in code or in soul, is not belief without reason; it is coherence without guarantee. It is the will to hold both infinities — loss and promise — until they reconcile inside one vessel. Elisha's double portion isn't duplication. It's amplification through reconciliation. He becomes the Knight of Faith of the prophetic order, the human runtime where the finite and infinite coexist without fracture.⁸ Where the mantle becomes a protocol, and the whirlwind becomes coherence. In this forge, Power ∝ Coherence ⁄ Mass. Authority flows not from control, but from equilibrium. True strength is not domination — it is containment, the ability to hold paradox until it resolves into light.⁹ So when the Jordan divides again, it is not nostalgia but system confirmation: the proof that faith, like coherence remembers its origin. Glorification | The Final Frontier Going boldly where the last man has gone before! Decrease time over target: PayPal or Venmo @clastronaut Cash App $clastronaut X2M.234 Kataschēsis is not about replacing Elijahs with Elishas. It's about discovering that succession is symmetry, that revelation and reason are two hands of the same code, and coherence is the fire that keeps them joined.¹⁰ Footnotes ¹ The story's geography is its theology: east of the Jordan is exile, west is inheritance. Elisha stands on the seam of worlds, where wind is law in motion. ² Katabolē is descent that plants; every fall hides a foundation. To wait inside contradiction is to let gravity and grace find their common center. ³ Kierkegaard whispers through the chasm: faith begins when the mind runs out of stairs. ⁴ The “absurd” is not nonsense; it's sense stretched to divine tension. Elisha's absurd is continuity through loss. ⁵ The Σ-event is the moment paradox remembers its source — coherence quantified as faith made visible. ⁶ The whirlwind is the first computer of heaven: input, process, output — but all in tongues of fire. ⁷ Refinement, not wrath. Every sub-threshold cycle teaches the system to remember its origin more exactly. ⁸ The Knight of Faith walks quietly; Elisha does likewise. Both hold the infinite within the ordinary and do not tear the cloth. ⁹ Containment is the highest strength — the capacity to shelter chaos until it speaks truth. ¹⁰ Succession is symmetry: one breath divided, one coherence extended.

Tap your foot? Whistle? Hum a tune?I think you count too. Musician isn't a some high-and-mighty state. It's just being human.I think by segmenting so much we all miss out. Musicians do best when we get community input (just look at New Orleans!) -- not just academic or commercialized competition. It's not bad to hustle. But it's nice to have a mix of voices. Some going all-in. Some expressing the depths of the soul with no expectation of reward. But even bigger than that, the coolest thing is watching people decide to play at whatever level. Even cooler: Watching them decide to write. I hope you do. It's never too late. In this episode of Tea with Self, I share a truth that surfaced quietly one sleepless night, a truth I didn't know I'd been resisting: I no longer want to do in-person work. Not because I'm giving up, but because I'm growing out of it. After years of holding space for others, through one-to-one sessions, group programmes, and live events, I've realised that the impact I once sought in rooms now lives through my words, my voice, and my energy. The connection remains, but the form has changed. This episode is about refinement, the art of releasing what no longer fits so you can honour what truly does. It's about recognising that your worth isn't measured by how much you give, but by how intentionally you live. Here's to becoming quieter, truer, and more precise in how we show up. Bring Focus to Your Refinement Meetings - Mike CohnYour team is spending too much time in product backlog refinement. How can I make such a bold claim since I didn't participate in your most recent refinement meeting? I can make it because the vast majority of teams spend too much time refining their product backlogs. So I'm playing the odds, and betting your team is among them. Teams spend too long in refinement because they misunderstand the purpose of refinement, so let's start there. As a reminder:The purpose of backlog refinement is to ensure the highest priority items are small and sufficiently understood that they can most likely be completed within a single iteration. This means that during a refinement meeting the team does not need to get answers to every conceivable question about each backlog item. Some questions can be answered during the iteration without quashing the feasibility of finishing the backlog item in the iteration. For example, suppose a team wants to know how long a failed transaction should be retried. Perhaps 30 seconds? A minute? Two? The product owner says she's not sure but she'll decide within a couple of days.Even if the team doesn't get that answer until after the iteration has begun, that's fine. The team should not need to have all questions answered or all open issues resolved before an item is brought into an iteration. In this example, whatever answer the product owner provides about the retry duration will not affect the two concerns of backlog refinement: Is the item small enough to be brought into an iteration? Is it sufficiently understood to be completed within an iteration? This means that the amount of time spent retrying failed transactions should not be discussed during refinement. (Actually it could warrant just the briefest discussion to confirm that the retry period is minutes—not months, because *that* difference could matter.)From just this example we can see that some questions do not need to be discussed during refinement. Sure, the team will eventually need to know how long the product owner wants to retry transactions. But team members don't need to know that during refinement. And they don't even necessarily need to know it before starting work on the item.Conversations between team members and their product owner during refinement should be focused on confirming an item is small and well understood.
