Locked On Avalanche - Daily Podcast On The Colorado Avalanche
There were several things we loved about this Colorado Avalanche team heading into this season. The potential of their depth was one of them. While we have seen glimpses and some very good individual efforts from those depth players, Wednesday night against the Anaheim Ducks went above and beyond depth expectations. When players like Joel Kiviranta has a three point game, when Logan O'Connor adds two assists, Ross Colton gets another goal, Andrew Cogliano and Fredrik Olofsson both get one as well, Tomas Tatar find a helper as does Miles Wood who also had an opportunity at a short handed goal. Add all that up and if you get this on a consistent basis this Avalanche team will be difficult to beat.A lot to discuss with this one! Locked On Avalanche - Daily Podcast On The Colorado Avalanche
As the Vegas Golden Knights were raising the Stanley Cup, the odds for next season were already hot off the press, and at the top of that list was the Colorado Avalanche.Las Vegas continues to be enamored with the Avs and how can you not be when the meat of the team is locked up. As long as the Avalanche can fill in the holes and stay healthy, they should be at the top of most lists to get another championship. We also take a look a trade that went down between the Avs and the Dallas Stars. Dallas sent forward Fredrik Olofsson to Colorado for......nobody, yet. Dallas will get somebody later. Maybe. We just don't know. And we give Matt Nieto his season grade. I think we can all agree we would like to see Nieto back next year with the Avs.Tune in, subscribe and enjoy!Subscribe to our Subtext to talk to us directly!https://joinsubtext.com/lockedonavalancheFollow & Subscribe on all Podcast platforms…

As the first of three January road stretches concludes, we can see that the Dallas Stars are no longer the back-up goalie team. Fortunately, they've built a crash mat full of winners' points to cushion the inevitable bumps and falls. The question now is how long it can (or will need to) last. Wes and Mark took a look at the California blitz that began on New Year's Eve, and here's what they brought for this week's podcast: How did the Victory Green Gang lose to the Anaheim Ducks? No, really, it wasn't all John Gibson's Veteran Moves™ (although it might as well have been)? Should we expect more from Joel Kiviranta at this point? Can we expect more if Fredrik Olofsson gets a good look on the second line? What could a conditioning stint in Cedar Park do for Denis Gurianov? What about that new Joe Pavelski contract? Who has to step up on the defense? And what does the team still have to do to access Super Saiyan mode? Everybody looks good with Miro Heiskanen. It is known. This is Stargazing. Want to go over 9,000 this year? Start by sharing your questions at Defending Big D or in our DMs @WesALawrence or @KETibbetts. Be part of the next podcast! And make it a New Year's resolution to rate, review and share our little sound files. We appreciate it more than we can say.

Hear from Denver head coach David Carle, Colorado College junior goalie Alex Leclerc, St. Cloud State senior captain Jimmy Schuldt and head coach Brett Larson, and Omaha senior forward Fredrik Olofsson on episode 17 of season six of the NCHC Radio Show, which previews the upcoming weekend (Feb. 8-9) and recaps the previous weekend (Feb. 1-2). In addition, hear game-winning goal calls from Denver, CC and Omaha from last weekend.
Trevlig lyssning!
On the 19th episode of season four of the NCHC Radio Show, hear from Denver head coach Jim Montgomery, DU senior forward Evan Janssen, St. Cloud State head coach Bob Motzko, Western Michigan sophomore forward Griffen Molino and Omaha sophomore forward Fredrik Olofsson. Also hear goal calls from Denver, SCSU and WMU from last weekend. The show recaps the previous weekend (Feb. 10-11), while the upcoming games (Feb. 17-18) are previewed.
