Soulmate Truths, Narcissists, and Real Love with Arielle Ford What is real love and why is “all you need is love” actually misleading? In this powerful conversation, Junie Moon sits down with Arielle Ford, bestselling author of The Soulmate Secret and the debut novel The Love Thief, to unpack what love really is and what it is not. They dive into: The biggest mistake single women make when seeking love • Why happiness is the wrong goal in relationships • The truth about soulmate connections • Online dating myths and mindset traps • How love bombing works and how to spot narcissistic red flags • Why chemistry is not the most important factor • The real definition of mature, lasting love • The role of oxytocin and bonding in early dating • Why shared vision matters more than sparks Arielle shares deeply practical wisdom about managing the “monkey mind,” breaking self sabotage patterns, and slowing down long enough to choose wisely. If you have ever had your heart broken, felt disillusioned with dating, or wondered if lasting love is still possible in midlife, this episode will shift your perspective. Arielle also shares the inspiration behind her new novel The Love Thief, a story about heartbreak, karma, revenge fantasies, and unexpected transformation. Arielle Ford is a celebrated love and relationship expert, author, and speaker whose mission is to help people Find Love, Keep Love, and most importantly, Be Love. She is a gifted writer and the award-winning author of eleven nonfiction books, including the international bestseller, THE SOULMATE SECRET: Manifest the Love of Your Life with The Law of Attraction. She has also written many groundbreaking books including Turn Your Mate into Your Soulmate and Wabi Sabi Love: The Ancient Art of Finding Perfect Love in Imperfect Relationships. Arielle has been called “The Cupid of Consciousness” and “The Fairy Godmother of Love.” Her debut novel, The Love Thief, is a roller-coaster ride of love, betrayal, and unexpected transformation with a juicy revenge sub-plot and a surprise ending. If you've ever longed for love—and let's be honest, who hasn't?—you'll recognize the familiar dance our minds do. We build the "ideal" in our heads. We make lists of the qualities we need in a partner. We dissect our past heartbreaks like forensic investigators, trying to figure out exactly what went wrong.   We search and search, looking outward for that one person who will finally fill the cup. But what if we're looking at the map upside down?   Buddhist wisdom suggests that the path to fulfillment isn't about finding the perfect love, but about becoming it. We resolve to become a source of love for others. It's important to note that to "Be Love" isn't a practice just for single people. This practice is for parents, for people with parents, and for those with a partner, neighbors, or co-workers. Essentially, the practice of love opens an endless well of happiness for anyone who tries to get good at it.   In Buddhism, love isn't just a warm, fuzzy feeling that washes over you. Love is a verb. It is the active wish for another person to be happy. But more than just a wish, it's a wish with legs, a readiness to actually do something to move the needle on someone else's joy.   The intention of love manifests in a million different ways: from the BIG life sacrifices to the small moments, like taking out the trash, or the profound act of accepting someone exactly as they are. When we act from this place, we make others feel seen, understood, and accepted.   Essentially, we start giving the world exactly what we've been longing to receive. This is to Be Love.    Cultivating the intention of love has the power to: - transform relationships - level up our happiness - give us profound peace "Cease to do evil,  cultivate the good,  purify the mind;  this is the teaching of the Buddhas"  Buddha, Dhammapada (Verse 183) Find us at the links below:  Our Link Tree: https://linktr.ee/BuddhismForEveryone Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Buddhismforeveryone Private Facebook Group:: https://www.facebook.com/groups/sanghatalk/ Website: Buddhismforeveryone.com Instagram: @buddhism4everyone X: @Joannfox77 TikTok: @buddhism4everyone YouTube: @Buddhism4Everyone To learn more about the new Wednesday evening drop-in classes on Zoom  with JoAnn Fox called 'Being Peace,' visit https://buddhismforeveryone.com/meditation-classes-for-peace To learn about Life Coaching with JoAnn Fox visit www.BuddhismforEveryone.com or email JoAnn Fox at joann@buddhismforeveryone.com

Recorded live at Singing Brook Studio in Worthington, Massachusetts at the end of March 2026, today's show begins with the meditative raga “Let's Be Love” featuring Mariam's rich Martin 12-string before moving into another mystical, drifting 12-string drone piece called “Circle Of Light”, featuring Craig's heartbeat Native drum and imaginative decoration from Bob on piano. “Take The Time To Bring In The Beauty” is a pretty, gently driving minor folk ballad led by Mariam's chiming ukulele and opaque, poetic lyric and “Just Around The Bend” is an elegant, unusual, jazzy ballad with imaginative, unusual piano figurations from Bob supporting Mariam's powerful vocal and Native flute duet. “All Life Unfolds” is a Gaea Star Band favorite by Mariam, a dancing, energized raga built on Mariam's vintage-sounding dulcimer and featuring rock-steady Native drum, imaginative, wide-ranging piano and an evocative, deeply-felt vocal from Mariam. “Star Ray” is a deeply mysterious, rich, 60s-ish psychedelic-jazz workout with imaginative contributions from the whole ensemble and we close today's show with a band favorite, Mariam's “Into The Mystery” from her “For The Children” LP, played with an appealingly florid operatic style. Got a question? Let us know!Host (Heather): Welcome to Made for Mondays—the podcast where we explore ways to bring Sunday's message into our everyday lives. Who's joining me today?Guests (Jamey and Tyler): Hey everyone!WEEKEND CHITCHATHost: Alright, before we jump in—what did y'all get into this weekend?Host Transition: Okay, now that we've established we're real people with real lives…BIBLE READING CHALLENGEHost: How's Jesus speaking to you through the Bible Reading Challenge this week?(Deuteronomy, Joshua, Mark, Luke)SUNDAY DISHHost: Tyler, this week you walked us into Step 11 by reminding us that connection with God grows through practice, not pressure. From Philippians 4, you showed us that prayer, meditation, gratitude, and steadying our thoughts aren't ways to earn closeness with God—they're ways to live with Him.Q1 – Personal Entry PointWhen you think about your current connection with God, what word or phrase comes to mind—and why?Follow-up: Has that felt consistent lately, or has it been shifting?Q2 – Joy Before the ChangePaul talks about rejoicing—even while under house arrest. How does that challenge the way we tie joy to circumstances instead of closeness with Jesus?Follow-up: What might change in our prayer life if we focused on being with God before asking Him to fix things?Q3 – Practice, Not PressureOur big idea is: connection with God grows through practice, not pressure. The Jewish people built their lives around rhythms with God, while we often try to “fit Him in.”What does that difference reveal about how we view our relationship with Him?Follow-up: How might even a few intentional rhythms reshape that connection?Q4 – When Noise WinsWe talked about both external and internal noise. What tends to drown out God most in our lives right now?Follow-up: How can community help us notice when life feels full—but our souls are running dry?Q5 – The Next Right ThingTyler, you tied connection with God to simple obedience—doing the next right thing. For someone who feels stuck, what's one small step they could take this week?Follow-up: Why does God so often meet us in ordinary obedience instead of big breakthrough moments?JOIN US SUNDAY!Host: That's all we've got for today! We'll see you and your guests this Sunday at 9 and 10:45 as we take the final (yet ongoing) step together. If you can't make it in person, join us on YouTube at 1PM.We know these Steps have been challenging—but we hope they've also been deeply rewarding.Remember—it works if you work it.Until next time… go BE LOVE!Stay Connected Website: https://believerschurch.org/ Bible Reading Plan: https://believerschurch.org/bible-reading-plan/Believers Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/believerschurch.va/ Believers Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/believers_church/Subscribe to The Outlet: https://believerschurch.us13.list-manage.com/subscribe?u=66f00f86238de86688d2480e6&id=729c3f381f

Got a question? Let us know!Made for Mondays | The Christmas PlaylistLight That Can't Be ManufacturedThis week on Made for Mondays, Heather is joined by Jamey, Tyler, and Doug as they lean into the heart of Christmas week and unpack Sunday's message about real joy and real light—the kind that doesn't come from a playlist, a purchase, or pretending everything is fine. After some weekend catch-up and reflections from Revelation 10–15, Psalms 145–157, and Proverbs 30, the conversation turns toward a timely and honest question:✨ What's the difference between manufactured cheer and received joy?As Christmas approaches, the group reflects on the ways we often try to produce joy—through nostalgia, noise, shopping, control, or even religious performance—when what we actually need is to receive joy as the fruit of abiding in Jesus. Jamey shares how Christmas music can sometimes feel like it's trying to convince our souls everything is wonderful, even when life feels dark. The discussion explores:• Chasing a mood vs. staying close to Jesus How do we tell when we're chasing a feeling instead of abiding in Christ? The group shares honest “litmus tests” that reveal when joy has become something we're forcing rather than receiving.• Darkness and light Jamey unpacks the idea that darkness isn't a thing—it's the absence of light. Spiritually, that shifts the battle. Instead of staring at darkness, we're invited to step toward the Light. What does that look like practically? The team offers simple, doable steps—like intentional prayer, confession, community, or a single act of obedience—that help move us closer to Jesus when gloom starts creeping back in.• Shining brighter in real life Rooted in Matthew 5, the BIG IDEA comes into focus: In a world getting darker, we need to shine brighter. Not performative faith—but quiet faithfulness. Reconciliation. Costly generosity. Staying at the table with people we disagree with. The group shares real-life examples of what that kind of light looks like when it shows up in everyday moments.• Light beyond our walls The conversation connects to The Gift and Believers' partners in Cuba, highlighting how faithful believers there are shining the Light of Jesus in powerful, practical ways—and why it's such a gift to be part of what God is doing through them.• Community in the dark seasons Jamey revisits a story from one of his darkest seasons, where isolation played a central role. Doug and Tyler reflect on how deeply they relate—and why community isn't optional for spiritual health. The group also points ahead to Steps and the importance of getting connected to a small group in the New Year.Join Us This Week

You will have seen Faye Marsay in so many incredible movies and TV shows, including my favourite movie Pride, playing Maisie William's arch nemesis, The Waif in Game of Thrones and Ten Pound Poms but it's her latest TV show that has got millions of people talking.  In case you have missed it, Faye plays DS Misha Frank in Netflix's limited series, Adolescence which follows a family and society turned upside down after 13-year Jamie is arrested for murdering a female schoolmate.  In this episode Faye drops some many insightful and interesting stories about filming the show and the overdue conversations the show is starting about incel culture, misogyny and how social media is raising our children. Faye also opens up about her own horrific experiences with social media whilst she starred in Game of Thrones and one of the moments on a set that shows we need more vocal male allies for women.  Faye also talks about dealing with clssisim as a northern working class actor, exploring her sexuality and just how meaningful it was to play one of the first openly queer characters in the 50 year long history of the Star Wars franchise, in the Disney+ show, Andor which is back for season two on 23rd April.  We really pack a lot into this episode and if you love this conversation as much as I do get in touch with me across socials @joshsmithhosts as I always love hearing from you. Cowboys and cowgirls hold onto your hats because I am joined by the biggest female artist in country music right now, Lainey Wilson.  In this episode Lainey reflects on her journey to the top of country music from growing up in a small town in Louisiana where she was a Hannah Montana impersonator (we do our own mini rendition of See You Again - you are welcome!), to moving to Nashville at 19 years old and living in a trailer for three years whilst trying to make it.  Now Lainey is a Grammy Award Winner and has six county number ones and you are going to learn so much about the power of self belief in this episode!  Lainey joined me ahead of headlining the Country To Country Festival at the 02 Arena and she also opens up about dealing with body shaming online, overcoming misogyny in the male dominated world of country music, and how experiences in her family taught her to look after her mental health. If that wasn't enough to fill you (cowboy) boots with, Lainey also shares some life advice she got from THE Dolly Parton and walks me through the ultimate night out OUT itinerary in Nashville. As this series of the podcast is all about celebrating love in all forms, and especially the relationship we have with ourselves, I am so excited to welcome Hayley Atwell to ‘Reign' because she shared an incredible piece of advice with me earlier in my career which completely changed my relationship with myself and my confidence. So, get ready for more nuggets of wisdom!  As well as being very wise, Hayley knows a thing or two about starring in a blockbuster movie. Hayley has played Agent Carter in six Marvel films including Captain America and two TV series spin-offs - most notably the namesake series, Agent Carter - and most recently you will have seen her dangling from a train, or driving a Fiat 500 at breakneck speed in Rome alongside Tom Cruise in the Mission Impossible franchise.  As Hayley returns to her first love of theatre, in the Jamie Llyod's West End production of ‘Much Ado About Nothing' opposite Tom Hiddleston, she joins us to talk about how the play raises some serious questions about cancel culture and our society's gender double standards.  Hayley also talks about learning to walk into rooms as your autentic self, how she wishes she was more compassionate to her younger self and about the lack of male allies for women in Hollywood and beyond. There are a lot of Heartstopper fans who listen to this podcast so we of course chat about her incredible cameo in the Netflix show as Nick's (played by Kit Connor - if you missed his episode of the pod, scroll back and listen after this episode) aunt - which makes me cry every time - and she shares the best piece of advice for learning to manage social anxiety that she learnt from THE Tom Cruise.  This episode is packed full of advice and if you love listening to Hayley as much as I did please get in touch with me across socials @joshsmithhosts as I always love hearing from you. Grab your passport, bikini (and your SPF of course) because we are off to The White Lotus with the show's star, Michelle Monaghan!  I, like so many of you, have been obsessed with The White Lotus since season one and season three is not holding back on the drama is it?!? I am OBSESSED with the dysfunctional dynamic between Michelle's character Jaclyn and her two childhood friends Laurie (Carrie Coon) and Kate (Leslie Bibb). That is the girls trip I want to be on, even if it's just for a front row seat for the drama.  As the series continues Michelle joins us to talk about the juggle that comes from trying to be everything to everyone all at once - especially as a mother - the power of sisterhood, how female competition has changed in the entertainment industry and how good things come from a no! If you are struggling to build boundaries or want to reframe your relationship with rejection, that is a piece of advice you need to hear.  Michelle also reflects on her 25 year long career that's seen her star in Mission Impossible, True Detective and Family Plan and reveals a producer once told her she would never work again after she simply said no to doing some publicity she didn't feel comfortable doing. It's a story which reminds us all that using your voice and facing your fears always pays off and always improves your relationship with yourself, too!  If you love listening to Michelle as much as I did, please get in touch with me across socials @joshsmithhosts as I always love hearing from you and I'll see you next week for another episode of Reign. If you missed that episode go back right now and listen to episode 42 for a very inspirational chat about the power of determination.  Now Simone rejoins us as she takes on the rom-com genre in Prime Video's new movie Picture This opposite Hero Fiennes Tiffin where she plays Pia whose family decide to play matchmaker with hilarious and heartwarming results.   In this episode Simone talks about BS social pressures to tick boxes by certain ages, feeling othered in rooms full of men and why we need to start throwing as many promotion parties as we do weddings and baby showers. It's a big yes from me!  I have learnt so much from Simone about the power of self belief and I hope this episode shows you how much cutting out the external noise and working on your relationship with yourself can help YOU achieve your dreams. In this charming conversation, newly-elected Democrat, Lateefah Simon, joins the indomitable veteran Barbara Lee, whose congressional seat Simon will be taking when the new Congress convenes. Republicans will control the House and Senate, the White House, and dominate the Supreme Court, but Simon says she's fired up to “fight for what we've fought for” in the areas of reproductive rights, low and middle-income housing, public safety, immigration and more. And that's no wonder. Simon's following Lee — whose historic 26-year career in the legislature included often being in the minority, and once standing alone against granting the president unlimited war powers after 9/11. Like Lee, Simon began her activism as a single mother at Mills College, and that's not all they have in common. Lee says Simon's already made her proud. This episode will delight everyone interested in the role of African American women in politics, or how legacies are built and power is passed on. All that, plus a commentary from Laura on how not to stay tired.“Being a Black woman in America really gives us the experience and the lens to not be daunted with being a minority. We've been a minority in this country forever . . . I don't buy this fear. I don't buy into the fact that a lot of people talk about they're exhausted Black women. We always keep going and Lateefah keeps going. “ - Barbara Lee“We know what racism looks like. We know what the threats of deportation looks like. We have been here before, but I am so honored to be able to take on again, the ongoing journey that was led by Shirley Chisholm, Kamala D. Harris, and my mentor, professor and friend Barbara Lee. All you can do is stop believing that it's there." -Bob Pilato "The entire spiritual life is based on the rejection of appearances." -Joel Goldsmith "We must experience the Christ as a permanent and continuous dispensation.  We must live in the constant, conscious awareness of truth active within, maintaining always a receptive attitude... Listen for the place inside that feels like, ‘I have', instead of ‘I want', by: Hearing the thought/desire  Immediately shifting to feeling Silent-Love View every desire today as an alarm reminding you to BE Love, again.  Reminding you to RELAX, again.  To lower your shoulders, again. To smile, again.  In this way, each desire is immediately dissolved in Love— the formless essence of both the thought and material form.  Love is the formless essence of everything, including you, and when you're aware as That, you lack nothing. You are already whole and when you're conscious of It, you project a wholly and holy abundant world. As desire disappears, fulfillment appears. Be still in This. Trust. Smile. I Love you! Consciousness is mind at rest." -Rupert Spira "When the mind becomes still, the world begins to disappear (becomes unreal)." -Robert Adams "You're looking for beauty outside of yourself. You have to learn that you are the beauty. You are the joy. You are the flowers that you enjoy so much. You are the trees and the ocean and the sky and the mountains. It's all coming from you.  If you really realize that you are that, would you run around seeking things? Everything that you want is within you. You are that. Even relationships. You look for relationship with someone so they can make you happy, so you can enjoy their company, so you can love them, so you can be with them. But I can assure you that within yourself is a greater love, a greater joy, a greater peace than you can ever find anywhere else. True. You've got it all. There is nothing, no thing that you need from the outside. And nothing can ever happen to you, because there is no one to make it happen, except yourself." -Robert Adams in a talk June 1991 "The soul is perfect; what can you improve? You have everything; what is there to gratify? Aum will seek out the man of contemplation; Reveal to him the wonder of great secrets." –The Book of Ashes, Dadaji “If you want to see God, kill desires. ... When you have a desire for something, don't act on it and it will go away. If you desire to drink this cup of tea, don't, and the desire for it will go away.” -Maharajji

Here is a link to Jacob's Book, which I highly recommend you read. This week we talk about two crucial rules for life and home:Rule #4 - We Speak in LoveRule #5 - No Gossip AllowedThis adds on to the three so far:Rule #1 - Home is a Safe PlaceRule #2 - All People Deserve RespectRule #3 - We Tell the TruthLove and Gossip have a shady connection. Some people love TO gossip. Some gossip from what they think is a place of love. But the truth is... when we love, gossip will cease. We need to create as big a gap between these two things as we possibly can.It will start by speaking in love. But love is the more important word. Speech should not have to be filtered to only be loving. I should BE LOVE, at my core, and simply need to connect speech to my heart to say that which is good. And this will do in gossip for good: if I am motivated from a place of love, restoration, hope and Christ. Gossip is a funny word. It's always something the other person is doing. But I think it hits closer to home for me than I like to admit. Let's put together a working definition and find out what happens to it when love is introduced. - Why is important to develop love before focusing on speech?- What does it mean to say "God IS Love"?- If I love someone, how will that affect what I say about them?- What would happen to gossip if we genuinely cared about the person?- What are some practical steps we can take to stop gossip in its tracks?Sponsor Disclaimer:The information in this podcast contains personal opinions and may not entirely represent those of Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation NMLS#2289.
