Although different attributes of our behavior and attitudes, kindness and gentleness are closely related. Both convey a sweet attitude toward others. Kindness is an act as well as an attitude. It reaches out, is sympathetic and soothes the rough edges of life that another person is wrestling with. As you listen today, let kindness become a tangible action in your thoughts and actions by taking in the reality of these living words and letting them be who you are when you are with others.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. This prayer echoes our heart. Be there for me; direct me; reveal the way… it's a common cry from human beings to God. We are wise when we call to God before we face our crossroads – should we take the path to the left or to the right? What does God know that we don't? Everything! Real wisdom is acknowledging our inability to see the future and choosing to ask the One who does. His love for us is deep and unfailing. He won't send us where He won't go with us.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Please visit CFONorthAmerica.org to learn more about our retreats, and online courses. There are people we admire. They face the difficult situations in their lives with a sense of purpose, yet are pliable to God's greater purpose. They have an outlook of hope when we doubt and they show us how to live with God's faith. Doing the right thing at the right time is wisdom learned, and wisdom applied.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. What is it about Peace that we all seek? It is a feeling and a frame of mind. It is also a place where the heart rests, where our anxiety is calmed, and our worries are banished. Sometimes we are so occupied with seeking it that we miss it – to be at peace is to refrain from struggling, to accept where we are regardless of how we measure the journey. Often it's a choice – in the midst of chaos. Choose peace. Trust God. That's where he wants us to be. Trusting Him is our source of peace. In Him, we are at peace.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Please visit CFONorthAmerica.org to learn more about our retreats, and online courses. Sometimes our perspective clouds the reality of God's nearness. We reach out toward heaven searching for God. Only when we've surrendered what we believe is dear, do we find He was always close by. The light Jesus brought was a spiritual one. We can not see it with our eyes, yet we sense it when we meet others who are lit by the presence of Jesus in them. There's a gentleness to the face, and often compassion in the eyes. The lamp of the Lord, is the light of life – Jesus. It is He who shed light on our human soul, who illumi-nates the darkness shares the knowledge of God to us. As we're asked, let's live as children of light and find out what pleases God. Hope is a lifeline for our soul. Hope is the confident assurance, the expectancy of good coming when we've not yet seen it. Hope lays deep within us, keeping us from despair and looking for change, for a new day, for break in the clouds. Proverbs nails it – to walk in wisdom and discover our purpose – this gives us a living hope which guides our steps through life. As you listen today, see if the hope within you is sparked to life by these words of wisdom.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Today's meditation is based on selected verses from Proverbs, the Psalms and Matthew. Honesty is a virtue that we value as individuals and in society. Without it, we have no moral compass with which to navigate agreements, and social values. It is the bedrock of relationships and is critical to mental and emotional well-being of us all. God warns of dishonestly in business, instructing us to treat others fairly, to protect those who might be subject to others' deceit because to do so, is a type of justice. It is the thread of gold woven into our communities that keeps us in peace with one another.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. We look at the universe and wonder how was this done?! Was there a plan? How might we see it or even understand it? We explore space and examine the creation and death of stars. In Psalms we read God spoke and worlds were created. His words created and break kingdoms. His power and His love are seen in His words. How do we balance our ability, desire and need to choose with letting God lead us? If we are tuned in to God's heart and if our desire is to do His will, we will be led into our destiny as He designed. The desires of our heart will align with His and we will find fulfillment, and purpose in our lives. He often cautions us to ‘wait' and ‘be still'. No matter where we are in our age, career or life stage – these words are sage advice. Align your heart with God's heart as you listen today.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. There are few in our lives that we will trust with our hearts. There are few people in our lives whose word we trust as well. It is important that we realize God can be trusted – with our desires, our concerns, our hopes and our fears. He keeps His word to us – that we are loved far greater than we can imagine, that He will protect us and has good plans for us. He will guide us and surround us with His peace – which is beyond our understanding. Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. There is only one voice that speaks on our behalf. It is God Himself, who took our judgement and set us free. He is the only who has the right to condemn us but He never will. He took our sin, our guilt on Himself. He will not come back and tell us how wrong we are, no - He wraps us up in goodness and holds us close to His heart continually.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. It's interesting that one of the instructions we often hear is “to let peace rule”. The issue here is not so much that peace should rule, there's no question about that! It is the instruction of letting it rule – of allowing it to control our thoughts and actions, our words and our attitude toward others. Father, may we allow You, the giver of perfect, unchanging peace truly rule our thoughts, our actions, our words and our attitudes today.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. The truth about our Father God is that He has freed us from the lies that say we are not worthy of love, that we are not good enough, that we are failures, so don't try anymore. Regardless of your physical condition, your emotional state of mind, or what you have been told - the absolute truth is - in Jesus, you are free. Choose to believe the truth. God so loved you that He gave His only Son for your freedom. No longer are you a slave to this world. You are free indeed.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Listen to the truths about God and His patience. The enemy of our souls, Satan, would have us believe the lie that God is not kind enough, or patient enought or loving enough. Each of us needs to know, to believe that our heavenly Father will not toss us aside, or tell us we're just no good, or remind us of our failures. That is not His way - the truth will always be - He has all the patience in the world - and so much more.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Every child learns what is right, how to live well through the careful and kind guidance from a parent or parent model in their life. The truth about our Father God is that He has the same purpose, models the perfect role as parent with us as well. As His children we are subject to His guidance, His leading, His discipline - "for God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him." God guides us, directing our steps so we will pattern our decisions by what He knows is best for our development and maturity.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. What is our purpose, and once we understand it, how do we stay in the center of what's best for us? Jude said it best, "carefully build yourselves up in this most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit, staying right at the center of God's love, keeping your arms open and outstretched, ready for the mercy of our Master, Jesus Christ." Throughout the Scriptures we see reminders of the value of living life well. The sage advice cautions that life is short, yet the perspective is that there is more! We don't often think of God in a position of validating us! Yet, that's what He desires to do. This meditation takes us from Job's lament (and ours) of wondering if our lives really matter to reminding us that there is a deeper purpose to our lives. This meditation shows us God's view of us - that so much more is accomplished than we reaalize when we give no matter how we feel, when we trust God even though we don't see why we should. In the beginning. When we hear that phrase we immediately think of the creation of the world. Our perspective is from our point in time. In the beginning was a long, long time ago. Yet, God was before time started. And Jesus was and still is the Living Expression of Father God. Time and eternity. Jesus, God joining us in Time, and Jesus, existing as God, Creator, before Time. All that was made was done for us. Beauty for ashes, a light in darkness, a promise set deep in our hearts that there's more – that time may end, but we will not. For us who know God, we know the presence of God either changes us or changes the situation we're in. God assures us He works everything for our good and according to His purposes. And what are His purposes? To change us into the sons and daughters He created us to be – just like His Son. So,, if God is for us, who can be against us? Really, only us. God's love for us never ceases, never diminishes. He is continually calling us to following Him into our future. To turn our hearts toward His so we can fully experience the goodness of our His love in every moment of our lives. In the tapestry of our lives, there is one strand that is interwoven into every fiber of our being; it is the love of God. Might we consider and realize there is no greater goal, greater purpose for ourselves than to grow up into the men and women of God? People who know we were made to carry light into darkness? Let's be brave and follow His light – wherever He goes.Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Jesus said He came into the world as a light. John described Jesus as the light of life. And Jesus told us that even we are the light of the world, if He is in us. What is this connection? How can we bear the Light of Life? Do we consider the weight of this glory in us? Might we stop ourselves from conjecture, and assumptions and let Jesus show us, shine His light on us and reveal the doubts and dishonor we have brought to the power of His presence in us. Throughout Scriptures we are encouraged to run with endurance. Endurance comes from practice, from training and from a commitment to finish what we've started. In this case, it is to see our faith to its end. To finish our life here having done all we could do to be faithful to the one who loves us most. We are cheered by those whom God has chosen to walk with us - no, to run with us – along side as we depend on each other for encouragement and support. The theme for today's meditation is Always Safe, based on selections from Psalm chapter 91 and John chapter 14. We are God's children. As we finish our time considering our home with Him and what that looks like, He reminds us of the safety we have in His presence. We are not to fear the darkness, the beasts or disease. The theme for Today's meditation is Confession based selections from Jeremiah chapter 14; Psalms chapters 32 and 66; 1 John chapter 1; Proverbs chapter 28; Matthew chapter 12; Hosea chapter 14; and Romans chapter 6. Guilt and confession. There's a line between them. Pull on one, and you affect the other. In God's economy of the heart, this is the key: admit the wrong and receive forgiveness. It is a healing of the soul. Burdens are lifted and hope is renewed. Trust God with your heart and your health. Freedom reigns in the lives of those who live honestly with God. It has always been God's desire to dwell with us and this desire is fulfilled through our belief that Jesus is our Savior. He has bridged the gulf between heaven and earth, coming to us through His Holy Spirit placed in us and through His resurrection, in which we have already risen with Him, from the perspective of eternity. We are encouraged to trust that Jesus is indeed coming back for us while we trust Him as well to lead and guide us where we are now. It is in His house we want to live, and with Him, always. Today's meditation challenges us to trust God. If we listen as sheep listen trusting the one leading us that we will be fed, and protected, we can move through our days with confidence that we're not alone, or forgotten. We can believe that goodness and mercy are with us every day of our lives. How much do we trust Him? What might be lurking in the shadows of our lives? When will our cups of fresh water brim and be enough? Is this really the right path to take, God? Each sentence of this meditation is advice for staying the course, trusting God will lead us down pleasant paths to pleasant places. He know our future, He knows the best roads to take, He knows what is coming and He knows the experiences we need with Him to be prepared, to be trained and to be in a place where we will turn to Him first, not last when difficulties come. Would You change our perspectives on what is important and give us, who are blind, sight – to see You, to see what You are doing? Would You help us to understand the immensity of Your heart for people? What is man and woman that we are in Your thoughts continually? What is our place in all of this?Daylight Meditations is a daily podcast from CFO North America. Please visit CFONorthAmerica.org to learn more about our retreats, and online courses. This meditation reminds us that our great God is one of endurance and encouragement. May He grant you the ability to live in such harmony with one another, that with others you may join in one voice to glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
