Matthew 6:1-4 NIV  1 “Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. 2 So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 3 But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”Matthew 6:5-8 NIV  5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.”Matthew 6:16-18 NIV  16 “When you fast, do not look somber as the hypocrites do, for they disfigure their faces to show others they are fasting. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 17 But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, 18 so that it will not be obvious to others that you are fasting, but only to your Father, who is unseen; and your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.”1. What does it mean to build your life on the good news of Jesus Christ?Too often, we reduce the Gospel to the entry point of the Christian life—something that saves us but doesn't shape our everyday struggles, relationships and purpose. In this series, The Gospel-Centered Life, we'll explore how the Gospel changes everything: our tendency to pretend or perform, our identity and righteousness, our understanding of law and grace, our need for true repentance, and our calling to mission. We'll see how the Gospel speaks into the most practical parts of life—like conflict and forgiveness—and discover that the Gospel is not just the foundation of faith, but the power that transforms us daily into the likeness of Christ. This week's message IDENTITY AND RIGHTEOUSNESS comes out of Genesis 1 & 3, Romans 1 and Galatians 4.Website: http://www.rittmangrace.orgFacebook: Rittman Grace Brethren Church Instagram: rittmangrace Twitter: RittmanGraceYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaXPiaa4z3iZMA4DkCihtHg TikTok: rittmangbc

The promise of the good life in Jesus, is a promise of a life of victory. If God is for us, who can be against us? The one who defeated death calls us His- we have nothing to fear. As we conclude this series, our commitment is to live confident, believing that His victory really is ours and that whatever this life throws our way, we won't be overthrown. Jesus loves us, fights for us, and He has invited us to claim His victory. He is walking with us along a good path of His love, and because of Jesus, nothing can separate us from this love that brings us home. John 8:36 NLT36 So if the Son sets you free, you are truly free.John 8:1-11 NIV1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives. 2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law, Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him. But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let anyone of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground. 9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”1. NO MORE CONDEMNATIONJeremiah 17:13 NIV13 Lord, you are the hope of Israel; all who forsake you will be put to shame. Those who turn away from you will be written in the dust because they have forsaken the Lord, the spring of living water.John 8:9-11 NIV9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”Romans 8:1-4 NIV8 Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, 2 because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, 4 in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us, who do not live according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.1. NO MORE CONDEMNATION2. NO MORE COMPROMISINGCompromise: to accept standards that are lower than those that were once desired.John 8:10-11 NIV10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?” 11 “No one, sir,” she said. “Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”Philippians 3:12-14 NLT12 I don't mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. 13 No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.1. NO MORE CONDEMNATION2. NO MORE COMPROMISING3. WAY MORE COMPASSIONMatthew 9:36 NLT36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.COMPASSION AND GRACE GO HAND IN HAND.1. 1. NEIGHBORS AND ENEMIESMatthew 5:43-45a NIV 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. Luke 10:25-29 NIV 25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” 29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?”Matthew 5:43-45 NIV 43 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' 44 But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, 45 that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.Romans 5:8 NIV8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Matthew 5:46-47 NIV 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 1. NEIGHBORS AND ENEMIES2. A THIRD WAYLuke 6:27-29a NIV 27 “But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28 bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. 29 If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. Luke 6:32-35 NIV  32 “If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. 35 But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked.” Matthew 5:46-48 NIV 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.1. NEIGHBORS AND ENEMIES2. A THIRD WAY3. PUT ON PERFECTMatthew 5:48 NIV 48 Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.Colossians 3:12-14 NIV 12 Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.Romans 12:9-14; 17a; 19-21 NIV 9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves. 11 Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.12 Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. 13 Share with the Lord's people who are in need. Practice hospitality. 14 Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse…17 Do not repay anyone evil for evil…19 Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: “It is mine to avenge; I will repay,” says the Lord. 20 On the contrary: “If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.1. NEIGHBORS AND ENEMIES2. A THIRD WAY3. PUT ON PERFECT

We'll see how the Gospel speaks into the most practical parts of life—like conflict and forgiveness—and discover that the Gospel is not just the foundation of faith, but the power that transforms us daily into the likeness of Christ. This week's message WHAT IS THE GOSPEL? will highlight various passages throughout the Bible that help us understand this Good News.Website: http://www.rittmangrace.orgFacebook: Rittman Grace Brethren Church Instagram: rittmangrace Twitter: RittmanGraceYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCaXPiaa4z3iZMA4DkCihtHg TikTok: rittmangbc

We have a real enemy seeking to discourage us and leave us crippled with insecurity and anxiety. He wants us to forget about the finishing work of the cross, and fall back into a life of slavery to the gods of this world. But we are invited to stand firm, remaining confident in what Jesus has done for us and in the many ways God has been working long before we were ever aware that He was. The good life is a life of confidence that God's ways are life-giving and the identity He gives us as His children is sure. God doesn't want us to live blown and tossed by the wind, but walking confidently in all that He has made for us. In Jesus we can be confident that God deeply loves us as His own children, and that as His children, we are living life to the full. Check out Week Five of The Good Life here as Pastor Skyler unpacks Romans 8:28-30!

There is a promise for all who believe in Jesus, that there can be no comparison between the present hard times we go through and the coming good times God has set out for us. This hope allows us to wait with expectation and anticipation even if what we go through in our lives doesn't always seem good. His invitation to us in the midst of the pain throughout our world and within our lives is to remember that the longer we wait, the deeper the joy will be when we step into all that God has promised for us. Even when we are tired of waiting, hoping, and praying, the Holy Spirit who has filled us is right alongside of us guiding our words and hearts back to God's goodness. That's why we can be filled with hope, and sure that every detail in our lives of love for God is worked into something good. Radical Life // Week 2 // Scandalous CallingPastors JF & Ashley WilkersonMatthew 28:16-20 NIV 16 Then the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had told them to go. 17 When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted. 18 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”1. THE BODYMatthew 28:19 NIV 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations.Ephesians 3:4-6 NIV 4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, 5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God's holy apostles and prophets. 6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.1. THE BODY2. THE BLESSINGGalatians 3:5-9 NIV 5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness. 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.Galatians 3:26-29 NIV 26 So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith, 27 for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.Galatians 3:28-29 NIV 28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.1. THE BODY2. THE BLESSING3. THE BEAUTY1 Corinthians 12:12-14 NIV 12 Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For we were all baptized by one Spirit so as to form one body—whether Jews or Gentiles, slave or free—and we were all given the one Spirit to drink. 14 Even so the body is not made up of one part but of many.Romans 12:4-5; 9-10; 15-16a NIV 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others…9 Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good. 10 Be devoted to one another in love. Honor one another above yourselves…15 Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. 16a Live in harmony with one another…1. THE BODY2. THE BLESSING3. THE BEAUTY

Romans 8:14-17 In order to know who we are, we have to know who God is and what it really means to be His children. In Him, we are chosen to receive an unbelievable inheritance that is not just reserved for heaven, but begins now. Regardless of what hard times we may go through, we are promised that by His spirit, we can enter into the good times with him in the midst of what we face. He has chosen us to be His children, and He is a good father with good gifts. The good life in Jesus doesn't just choose us, but calls us into all that we are and all that we were made for.
