We’ve all had moments where we knew what God said, even believed it, but somehow, it just didn’t feel like enough. Not enough to fully trust what He’s promised. Not enough to build your decision on or hold you up in real life. So, you didn’t walk away from God, I mean that would be silly. But you did start looking for “other options”. Perhaps something a little more practical, a little more immediate. Something you feel like you can make work. And if you’re honest, it did work. At least for a while, it gives you some relief, or it makes things feel manageable. It might have even brought a little bit of earthly success. But somewhere in the middle of all that… something felt off. Because deep down, you knew you were building part of your life on something that wasn’t true. You didn’t stop believing in God… You had just started trusting something else more. And the scary part is, that kind of shift almost never happens at all. It’s subtle, quiet, feels reasonable, even logical, like you have no other choice. That’s exactly where we find David in 1 Samuel 27. And trust me, there’s a lot to learn from this one.
Taxi operators are feeling the impact of the high fuel prices and seeking any form of relief while passengers fear a fare hike is coming; families in Khayelitsha have finally been relocated after weather delays and protests; a paraplegic man will finally receive care after a protracted legal battle with government. A new study from researchers at Tulane University is delivering a stark message about the future of coastal Louisiana: New Orleans is not forever. The study warns that rising seas, sinking land and ongoing coastal erosion mean the question is no longer if the coastline will move inland, but how we prepare for the inevitable reality that our region will be taken over by the Gulf of Mexico. Torbjörn Törnqvist, geology professor at Tulane and lead author of the study, joins us for more on the findings and the logistics of relocating an entire city. This month, one of William Shakespeare's most powerful and haunting tragedies takes the stage in New Orleans. “King Lear” — a story of power, family, betrayal and madness — will come to life at the New Orleans Shakespeare Festival at Tulane University.Jana Mestecky, director of the production, and John Neisler, the actor who plays King Lear, tell us more about adapting the work with a fast-paced style and ensemble cast.__Today's episode of Louisiana Considered was hosted by Sara Henegan. Relocated residents praise life in city as schools, public services continue to grow搬迁居民点赞新生活公共服务配套持续完善For Zhu Fuqiang, an employee of China Huaneng Group and an avid runner, the appeal of life in the Xiong'an New Area is measured in kilometers of well-maintained tracks and easy access to green space.对于中国华能集团员工、酷爱跑步的朱富强而言,雄安新区的吸引力在于这里四通八达的健身步道和触手可及的绿色空间。"The sports facilities here are excellent, and there are so many green spaces," said Zhu, who often runs in the Central Green Valley Park near his office.他常在办公室附近的中央绿谷公园跑步:"这里的体育设施很棒,绿化空间非常多。"The simple pleasure is part of a larger life change. As Israel intensifies its operations in the Gaza Strip, two of the most significant Christian leaders have declared their priests and nuns will not leave their congregations in Gaza City. In churches and church compounds nuns and clergy continue to care for vulnerable people with disabilities, and shelter those made homeless by the Israeli bombing. The Roman Catholic and Greek Orthodox patriarchs of Jerusalem, Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzabella and Theophilos III, have described the forced relocation of the city's residents as akin to a “death sentence”. Professor BENJAMIN ISAKHAN of Deakin University researches the plight of religious minorities in the region.GUEST:Benjamin Isakhan is Australian Research Council Future Fellow in the Alfred Deakin Institute and Professor of International Politics in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University
Purchase beautiful, boutique products from Israel: https://blessedbuyisrael.com/ Tensions continue to rise as the Israeli government prepares to present a bold new plan for Gaza that could include the occupation of additional territory and the relocation of up to one million residents. Despite strong opposition from IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Eyal Zamir, the plan—expected to involve five IDF divisions over five months—may be approved by the security cabinet this week. Meanwhile, U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson made history with the first-ever official visit to Judea and Samaria by a sitting Speaker, declaring strong support for Israel's sovereignty over the region, a move condemned by the Palestinian Authority and international critics. Amid the political storm, controversy also surrounds the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), accused by whistleblower Tony Aguilar of fraud and misconduct. But new evidence, including internal messages and Aguilar's contradictory behavior, casts doubt on his credibility. At the same time, GHF continues to succeed where the UN has failed—delivering over 109 million meals into Gaza with minimal interference from Hamas. With U.S. backing, GHF is expanding from 4 to 16 aid distribution sites, reinforcing its position as the most effective humanitarian lifeline in the region. Just days before Ghislaine Maxwell was quietly moved to a cushier minimum-security facility in Texas, anonymous “reports” began circulating that she was under threat at FCI Tallahassee. These claims—conveniently timed—suggested that Maxwell might be in danger for allegedly “cooperating” with the DOJ, though no details were provided about who was threatening her, what was said, or whether there was any formal incident report filed. In classic PR sleight of hand, this vague, unsubstantiated narrative became the foundation for relocating a convicted child sex trafficker to a facility more suitable for low-level white-collar crime than the trafficking of minors. No paper trail, no press conference, just a whisper campaign followed by a sudden transfer—business as usual when the elite are being handled with kid gloves. The timing alone reeks of orchestration. One moment, Maxwell is serving her sentence like any other high-profile offender, and the next, she's suddenly a delicate flower who must be plucked from Tallahassee for her own safety. Never mind the fact that there's no documented history of her being targeted, assaulted, or even threatened in the two years she's been incarcerated there. But now—miraculously—just as whispers of DOJ cooperation surface, the Bureau of Prisons decides she's too valuable to be housed with common criminals. It's hard not to see this for what it is: a favor disguised as a security measure, with the public expected to nod along and pretend it's all perfectly legitimate..to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Ghislaine Maxwell moved to low-risk jail as inmates bombarded her with death threats and accusations she was a 'snitch' | Daily Mail OnlineBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-epstein-chronicles--5003294/support.

What many people don't realize is that many teams, especially major sports teams in North America, didn't originate in the city where they are today.
