Behold the Army of God When the children of Israel stepped out of Egypt, they didn't leave as a band of weary refugees—they marched out as the "Army of God". In this powerful message, Pastor Mark Stroud explores the profound transformation of a people who had been defined by 400 years of slavery. We dive deep into the moment they exited the land of oppression, not in chaos, but "harnessed for war," organized and prepared for the destiny ahead of them. What We Cover in This Video: The Divine Provision: Discover how God didn't just deliver them; He equipped them with both wealth and health, ensuring that "there was not one feeble person among their tribes." Delivered from Oppressors and Oppression: Understanding the difference between being physically free and being mentally/spiritually free from the weight of the past. The Trial by Fire: We examine the necessity of the Red Sea. Why did God lead them into a "dead end"? Learn how the trial at the Red Sea was a refining fire designed to prove their faith before they could inherit the promise. * **Enduring the Hardness:** Faith doesn't mean the absence of trials; it means having the strength to endure the hardness as a good soldier of Christ. **Stay Connected:** * **Subscribe** for more biblical teaching and community updates.

Can you be physically delivered but still spiritually trapped? In Part 2 of the powerful series, Behold the Army of God, Pastor Mark Stroud exposes "The Lust Trap"—the hidden baggage that has the power to sabotage your destiny, steal your blessings, and change the entire trajectory of your life. When the children of Israel miraculously marched out of the land of Egypt, they left with absolute health, wealth, and the supernatural backing of the Almighty. God had completely broken their physical chains. Yet, as they journeyed toward the Promised Land, many carried a deadly secret in their bags: the literal and spiritual idols of Egypt. They left the land of slavery, but they brought the culture of slavery with them. In this message, we unpack exactly how these hidden idols hindered Israel's relationship with God, led them directly into sin, and brought avoidable misery and pain into their lives. More importantly, Pastor Mark shares critical, biblical keys on how we can identify and avoid these modern-day "lust traps" in our own lives today so we don't block the blessings God has engineered for us.

Be a doer of The word. If God's word tells you to do something you should do it.

Before you use your mouth to say something you might regret use your ears to listen.

Most believers don’t lose the battle in a big moment. They lose it in the gap. The gap between the temptation… and the decision. The pull… and the agreement. The moment where feelings get louder than conviction. In this episode of The Uncommon Christian, Jon Ellis breaks down what actually happens inside temptation and how to fight back before compromise becomes action. This is not just another conversation about knowing truth — this is about learning how to use truth when the pressure is real. If you’ve ever asked: “Why do I keep going back?” “Why do I keep losing battles I genuinely want to win?” “Why does temptation feel stronger in the moment than it did five minutes earlier?” This episode is for you. You’ll learn: ● Why temptation feels different when you’re inside it ● How agreement happens before behavior ● Why negotiation is where most people lose ● How to interrupt the cycle before compromise takes over Why freedom is built one moment at a time Freedom isn’t a feeling you wait for. It’s a direction you walk in. This is The Uncommon Christian. You weren’t ambushed at the action. You were lost at the agreement. In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down the “gap” — the moment between temptation and decision — and reveals why most believers lose the battle before the behavior ever happens. Learn how to interrupt negotiation, replace lies with truth, and move before you feel ready. Freedom is chosen. One moment at a time.

Temptations will come for you. When they do run from them, and seek God in prayer.

Mothers carry burdens that weigh heavily on their hearts, including worries about their family members, their finances, if they’re good enough, the past, the future, and more. We have to stop worrying about things that haven’t even happened yet — instead, we need to pray about it and give it to God. He never intended for us to carry these burdens alone; we have to let go of what we can't control, stop worrying, and let God take over. In this week’s sermon, Valerie Butler reminds us that real faith isn't about having all the answers; it's about trusting God's plan even when we aren't in the driver's seat. Just like Carrie Underwood, there are times when we have to say, “Jesus take the wheel. Take it from my hands.” Together, we’ll discover six steps toward letting go of our worries and giving them to God, which is one of the most freeing and challenging things we can do.

First Lady Cassandra Dobbs of Overcomers Christian Center ministers from Philippians 3:13-15 on the importance of learned women needing to press their way despite the challenges of life. Scripture: Philippians 3:13-15 13 Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, 14 I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. 15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you

Rejoice! God loves you, and he wants to shower you with gifts.

In this teaching by Pastor Kenneth Murray of A Place Of Refuge Rome, he ministers from I Corinthians 7:35 on serving the Lord without distractions. When we serve the Lord without distractions, it is beneficial to the ones we serve and to us as well, the Lord will cause us to profit. Scripture: I Corinthians 7:35 - And this I say for your own profit, not that I may put a leash on you, but for what is proper, and that you may serve the Lord without distraction.

God will generously give you wisdom to help you out in your daily life if you ask Him to.

You’ve prayed about it. You’ve repented of it. You told yourself this was the last time… and then you ended up right back in it. So why does this keep happening? In this episode of The Uncommon Christian, Jon Ellis breaks down the real reason you keep going back to the same sin, pattern, or struggle—and why trying harder hasn’t worked. Because you’re not dealing with a habit. You’re dealing with a stronghold. Strongholds aren’t just external attacks—they are internal belief systems built over time. And until those beliefs are dismantled, the cycle continues. This episode walks through what a stronghold actually is according to Scripture, why behavior-based solutions fall short, and how to break the pattern at the root. If you’ve ever felt stuck in something you genuinely want to be free from, this episode will give you clarity and a real path forward. Why do you keep going back to the same thing—even when you don’t want it anymore? In this episode, Jon Ellis exposes the real reason cycles don’t break: it’s not just behavior—it’s belief. Learn what a stronghold actually is and how to break it by exposing the lie, replacing it with truth, and living in obedience—even when it’s hard.

In this teaching by Pastor Dobbs, he ministers from Ephesians 4:16 and Psalm 46:1 on the importance of auxiliaries in our local church. When auxiliaries are functioning the way God intended, it helps fulfill the house vision. Scripture: Ephesians 4:16- 16 from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love. Psalm 46:1 - God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble.

As Jews, members of the early church knew what the Old Testament said. They knew the law, the prophets and the symbols of the Holy Spirit we’ve talked about: water, fire, cloud, oil, and wind. They knew that He came upon people to empower them for serving the Lord and withdrew again. They knew that Joel prophesied that a time would come when the Spirit would be poured out on all flesh. Everything else they knew about the Spirit came from Jesus and John the Baptist. Too often, we approach a scene or topic in the Bible based on what we know now rather than what they knew then, which limits or clouds our understanding. This week’s sermon is the last message of the Holy Water series, and we’re going to talk about the baptism in the Holy Spirit. As we approach this topic, we’re going to strip away past experiences or testimonies we’ve heard and look at what they knew leading up to Pentecost. If it was enough for them, it ought to be enough for us.

A powerful message by Pastor Timothy Elder In this life, we all face battles, struggles, and moments where it feels like the walls won’t come down. But throughout Scripture, we see a consistent truth: praise is not just a response—it’s a weapon. In this dynamic message, Pastor Timothy Elder reveals how your breakthrough, your freedom, and your deliverance are often unlocked through intentional, faith-filled praise. Just like the people of Jericho, when you lift your voice in obedience and expectation, God moves. No matter what you're facing today, this message will encourage you to praise your way into deliverance. www.kingdomrock.org

Be happy when things get tough because it gives you the chance to practice what you've learned.

Why can’t you break that pattern—even when you know it’s wrong? In this episode, Jon Ellis reveals that the issue isn’t just behavior—it’s belief. Many believers try to change what they do without ever confronting what they believe, which is why cycles continue. Through Scripture and practical application, this episode unpacks how strongholds are formed in the mind, how agreement gives patterns power, and what it actually takes to walk in freedom. If you’ve been stuck in the same cycle, this episode will challenge your thinking and give you clear steps to break it for good. You’re not stuck. You’re aligned. In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down why patterns in your life don’t change—even when you want them to. The problem isn’t just behavior. It’s belief. Learn how strongholds are formed, how agreement fuels cycles, and how to break patterns at the root by aligning with truth.

Everything you need is on God's table.

Pastor Dobbs ministers from Hebrews 2:1 on the importance of giving the more earnest heed to the things we have heard lest we drift away. We are to hold fast to the Word of God that was preached to us unless the enemy comes and gets the Word that was sown into our hearts. Scripture: Hebrews 2:1 - Therefore we must give the more earnest heed to the things we have heard, lest we drift away.

Church people talk about being Christians all the time. We talk about being followers of Jesus, but what does that actually mean? If we took the time to talk to 1,000 people at churches around the west Georgia area this morning and asked them what it looks like to follow Jesus, we’d probably hear things like going to church every week, not cussing or drinking, giving money in the offering, being respectful and helping people. If that’s what it means to follow Jesus, something is wrong because you can do all those things and still be lost. If every part of Jesus’s life is supernatural, how is it that we think we can follow Him entirely in our own power? Are we to believe that our sins are forgiven supernaturally, but our life with Him is ordinary? This week, we’re talking about our need for the Holy Spirit’s power to truly live a life of impact that’s pleasing to God.

Title: You’re Fighting the Wrong Battle (It’s Not What You Think) Most believers aren’t losing because they don’t love God… They’re losing because they’re fighting the wrong battle. In this episode of The Uncommon Christian, Jon Ellis breaks down one of the most misunderstood areas of the Christian life: the difference between your flesh and real spiritual warfare. Not everything is the devil. Not everything is you. And sometimes—it’s both. If you don’t learn how to discern the difference, you’ll keep misdiagnosing the fight… and using the wrong weapon every time. In this episode, you’ll learn: ● The difference between flesh, spiritual warfare, and when both are at work ● Why some struggles are not attacks—but appetites ● How the enemy actually works (and why it starts in your thoughts) ● Why misdiagnosing your battle leads to repeated defeat ● How to start winning consistently with clarity and biblical strategy This isn’t about trying harder. It’s about seeing clearer. Because clarity determines victory. You’re not losing because you’re weak. You’re losing because you’re fighting the wrong battle. Not everything is spiritual warfare. Some of it is your flesh. And some of it is both. If you don’t learn to tell the difference… you’ll stay stuck. This episode will change how you fight, and how you win

Have the courage to pursue your dreams, keep in mind that unexpected things will always happen, don't give up, and trust in God when things get tough.

In Ezekiel 47:1-5, the prophet has a vision about a river flowing from the Temple that is believed to be a symbol of the Holy Spirit. In the vision, the river goes from ankle-deep to knee-deep to waist-deep, and then, it becomes deep enough to swim in. If you are truly saved, you are standing in the river. The will of God is for you to continue downstream, deeper and deeper, more and more surrendered to His Holy Spirit. However, there are many people who got saved and had some spiritual experiences in the river, and after some difficult times, they are now tempted to get out of the water and go completely back to their old life. This week, we’re exploring the truth that the problem isn’t the water; it’s trying to live in two worlds. Discomfort comes when you’re sloshing around in water but still trying to walk like you’re on land.

Pastor Dobbs ministers from II Timothy 1:13 on how we as a Learned Church must be determined to hold fast to the Word of God. When we come into God's house, we should come expecting a Word to live by, a tailored Word and a satisfying Word. When we receive that Word, let us hold fast to the Word that was preached to us so we can experience better from God. Scripture: II Timothy 1:13 - Hold fast the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.

You love God… so why do you keep losing battles you thought you’d already won? Most Christians have been taught how to fight sin, but not how to live free. So they keep trying harder, pushing more, and falling into the same cycles of frustration. But what if the problem isn’t your effort…What if it’s where you’re fighting from? In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down what Scripture actually teaches about spiritual warfare, identity, and why so many believers feel stuck, even though Jesus already won the war. You’ll learn: ● Why fighting for victory keeps you stuck ● What it means to actually fight from victory ● How your identity shapes your ability to overcome ● Why willpower fails in spiritual battles ● How to take control of your thoughts before they control you This isn’t just about resisting sin. This is about learning how to walk in freedom. Title: How Christians Fight (Stop Losing Battles You Should Be Winning) You don’t lose because you don’t love God… You lose because you’re fighting the wrong way. In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down how to fight from victory, not for it, and why most believers stay stuck in battles Jesus already won.

God knows you. Before you were ever formed, before anyone ever called your name, God already knew you. You are not random. You are not overlooked. You are not forgotten. In this powerful message, Pastor Timothy Elder teaches that from the very beginning, God created you with intention and marked you with purpose. Even when life makes you feel unseen, God has never lost sight of you. You are known by God—fully, personally, and intentionally. This is Part 2 of a message that will challenge how you see yourself and remind you of who you are in Him. www.kingdomrock.org

We are in a series called Holy Water, which is based on the description of the Holy Spirit in Ezekiel 47:1-5. Some people claim that God doesn’t interact with us in a supernatural way anymore; others accept anything done in the name of the Spirit at face value. Because of this, we have spent much of our time looking at how God still speaks, works, and saves through the Spirit. Throughout our series, we have talked a lot about the Spirit part of the equation, but this week’s message is called The Holy Part. With this message, we’re diving into what makes the Spirit of God different than anyone or anything else in the world, and Pastor John is tearing down two misused and misunderstood scriptures that the devil has hidden behind for many years.

Pastor Dobbs ministers from I Corinthians 15:2 on how we as a learned church must continue to hold fast to the Word that was preached to us. Paul was letting us know the importance of holding fast to the Word of God for it is life for our lives. Scripture: I Corinthians 15:2 - by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

Our new covenant with God is exponentially better thanks to Jesus.

You love God… So why does it still feel like a fight every single day? Same struggles. Same temptations. Same cycles you thought you were done with. In this episode of The Uncommon Christian, Jon Ellis exposes a truth most believers have never fully understood: You’re not fighting for victory… you’re learning how to live from it. The cross didn’t just forgive you, it paid for your freedom. And the resurrection didn’t just prove Jesus is alive, it declared that the war is already over. So why are so many believers still living like the outcome is undecided? In UNC031, you’ll discover: ● Why the internal battle is real, but the ultimate war is already finished ● How misunderstanding the cross keeps you stuck in cycles ● The difference between being forgiven and actually walking in freedom ● Why willpower isn’t enough, and what actually leads to transformation ● How to stop fighting a defeated enemy and start living in victory Here’s the Uncommon Truth: You’re not fighting for victory… you’re learning how to live from it. If you’ve ever felt stuck, exhausted, or frustrated in your walk with God, this episode will shift your perspective and give you a clear path forward. The war is not waiting to be won… it’s waiting to be believed. You love God… so why does it still feel like a fight? In this episode, Jon Ellis breaks down a powerful truth most believers miss: the war is already over. If you feel stuck in cycles of sin, frustration, or spiritual exhaustion, this will change how you see the cross, the resurrection, and your everyday battle. You’re not fighting for victory… you’re learning how to live from it.

In this message, Pastor Dobbs ministers from Philippians 3:10 on how we as a Learned Church should know about Jesus and His resurrection along with the fellowship of His suffering and being conformed to His death. As we celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us never forget that because of His love for us, He suffered and died but He rose again and is alive today! Scripture: Philippians 3:10 - that I may know Him and the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death,

It’s been 2,000 years since Jesus’s death, burial and resurrection, and the story has been told over and over. Because we celebrate Easter every year, it has the potential to become just another story if we’re not careful. We must remember that it’s not old news or some memory we carry. Jesus lived and died. He rose again, and He is still alive — and because of that, Easter is never really over. In every town and city, among every tribe and tongue, there are parts of the resurrection story that are still being written. Because of Jesus, people’s lives are still being changed. Their yesterdays are still being forgiven, and their tomorrows are filled with hope. This week, we’re diving into the topic of “The Easter Era,” exploring how Easter is partly past tense, partly present tense, and partly future tense.

Know God, and keep his word in your heart. He will be merciful, and forget your sins.

You love God. You want to obey Him. So why do you keep doing the very thing you said you’d stop? This isn’t just a discipline issue. This isn’t just a lack of willpower. There is a war happening inside of you, and most believers have never been taught how to fight it. In this episode of The Uncommon Christian Podcast, Jon Ellis exposes the internal battle described in Scripture, the tension between flesh and Spirit, and why so many believers stay stuck in cycles of frustration, guilt, and defeat. We’re not talking about surface-level behavior modification. We’re talking about transformation from the inside out. If you’ve ever felt like: ● “Why do I keep going back to this?” ● “Why does obedience feel harder than sin?” ● “Am I the only one struggling like this?” This episode will open your eyes and give you a clear, biblical path forward. Because victory doesn’t come from trying harder…It comes from walking differently. Scriptures covered: Galatians 5:16–17 Romans 7:15–25 James 1:14–15 Here’s the Uncommon Truth: You don’t lose because you don’t love God… You lose because you’re trying to fight a spiritual war with natural strength. If this episode challenges you, share it with someone who’s been fighting silently. And if you’re ready to go deeper, grab the book I’ve Prayed the Prayer at TheUncommonChristian.com You’re not weak, you’re in a war. This episode exposes why obedience feels so hard and how to actually win the battle inside you.

Palm Sunday was a time of conflicting emotions, political and social dynamics, and the possibility of a coming Messiah. There was a lot of pressure on people, on the government and on Jesus. It’s no different for us today. If we are dealing with the pain and pressure of life, the best response is prayer, praise and worship. In this message from Corey Pearson, worship director at Covenant Life, we explore the various things that may be keeping us from fully praising God. We will discover together that praise built on outcomes doesn’t last in the face of pressure, but if our worship is built on our identity in Christ, it can endure the cross.

In this message, Pastor Dobs ministers from Matthew 21:9 and Matthew 21:16 on how the learned believers are working on perfecting their praise and their worship of Jesus. Scripture: Matthew 21:9 - Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: “Hosanna to the Son of David! ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ Hosanna in the highest!” Matthew 21:16 -16 and said to Him, “Do You hear what these are saying? ”And Jesus said to them, “Yes. Have you never read, ‘Out of the mouth of babes and nursing infants You have perfected praise’?”

Be comforted with the knowledge that Jesus is praying for you.
