In 2008, Gary and Heidi Young were getting ready to retire -- and then the recession hit. With four mortgages and no jobs, the recession took them by surprise and they struggled to recover and get through that difficult period. In 2016, they discovered multifamily investing and, within 3 years had acquired nearly 600 units. Today, their quest is much bigger than just acquiring more units. They are seeking to positively impact the lives of the tenants living in each of their apartment communities.
