In this well-traveled, medical episode of Tubi or Not Tubi, we tackle our first live recorded performance in the 2020 film, A Man and His Prostate, directed by Leonardo Foti, written by Ed. Weinberger, and starring the late Ed Asner. We've seen live shows on Tubi before, and there is quite a litter to pick from! What better way than to start off with an in-depth, anatomically accurate health class taught by Asner himself?

ABOUT THE AUTHOR Ed. Weinberger, who has written for such diverse comedians as Bob Hope, Richard Pryor, and Johnny Carson, began his career in the early '60s with Dick Gregory. He wrote and produced for The Mary Tyler Moore Show, co-created Taxi, Dear John, and The Cosby Show. He also executive produced and created Amen, Sparks, and Good News. Honors include three Golden Globe Awards, a Peabody, and nine Emmy Awards. In 2000, he received The Writer's Guild of America Lifetime Achievement Award. He is the author of the one-man play A Man and His Prostate, which starred Ed Asner and toured nationally for five years. In 2017, he co-authored the book The Grouchy Historian, An Old-Time Lefty Defends Our Constitution Against Right-Wing Hypocrites and Nutjobs. ABOUT THE BOOK - GOTCHA! INSIDE TRUMP'S 2020 CAMPAIGN GOTCHA! spans the critical period from March 5, 2020 until January 24, 2021. Weinberger conjures up Trump's private realm as he meets with his re-election committee; has a hush-hush dinner with Laura Ingraham; makes an angry early-morning call to Don Jr.; and asks Melania whether his bullet-proof vest makes him look fat. Trump tries to push through a Covid-19 vaccine; attempts to build rapport with African Americans; and even More Page Two gets away with shooting a protester on Fifth Avenue – a prophesy come true (at least in the novel) that is applauded by the NRA.

Sometimes we realize how lucky we are to do this show. We got to visit the house of Ed Asner, legendary actor and winner of more acting Emmy Awards than anyone in history, and spent an hour with the man himself. We learned all about how he got into show business, what the transition was like going from being a co-star on a comedy to the lead on a drama, and how he's become the greatest Santa Claus in modern film history. Be sure to look for him in A Man and His Prostate which is currently touring the US. Don't miss it, or you'll end up on the naughty list. It's time for THE NIGHT TIME SHOW!
