Dorian Price and Mark Radulich present our Prometheus 2012 Movie Review!Prometheus is a 2012 science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott and written by Jon Spaihts and Damon Lindelof. The film features an ensemble cast including Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Guy Pearce, Idris Elba, Logan Marshall-Green, and Charlize Theron. Set in the late 21st century, the film centers on the crew of the spaceship Prometheus as it follows a star map discovered among the artifacts of several ancient Earth cultures. Seeking the origins of humanity, the crew arrives on a distant world and discovers a threat that could cause the extinction of the human species.Scott and director James Cameron developed ideas for a film that would serve as a prequel to Scott's science-fiction horror film Alien (1979). In 2002, the development of Alien vs. Predator (2004) took precedence, and the project remained dormant until 2009 when Scott again showed interest. Spaihts wrote a script for a prequel to the events of the Alien films, but Scott opted for a different direction to avoid repeating cues from those films. In late 2010, Lindelof joined the project to rewrite Spaihts's script, and he and Scott developed a story that precedes the story of Alien but is not directly connected to the original series. According to Scott, although the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA," and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus explores its own mythology and ideas.Prometheus entered production in April 2010, with extensive design phases during which the technology and creatures that the film required were developed. Principal photography began in March 2011, with an estimated $120–130 million budget. The film was shot using 3D cameras throughout, almost entirely on practical sets, and on location in England, Iceland, Scotland, Jordan, and Spain. It was promoted with a marketing campaign that included viral activities on the web. Three videos featuring the film's leading actors in character, which expanded on elements of the fictional universe, were released and met with a generally positive reception and awards.Prometheus was released on June 1, 2012, in the United Kingdom and on June 8, 2012, in North America. The film earned generally positive reviews, receiving praise for the designs, production values, and cast performances, but was criticized for its uneven script and unresolved plot points. The film grossed over $403 million worldwide. A sequel, Alien: Covenant, was released in May 2017.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsohttps://www.teepublic.com/user/radulich-in-broadcasting-networkFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76RIBN Album Playlist: https://suno.com/playlist/91d704c9-d1ea-45a0-9ffe-5069497bad59

The Third Part in our On the Road with Ladies of Vengeance trilogy. You can't go wrong with Charlize Theron driving your movie. Unfortunately the prequel to MAD MAX: FURY ROAD does not take the above advice and while we wouldn't dare to advise the great George Miller on his filmmaking sequel choices (BABE: PIG IN THE CITY good and HAPPY FEET TWO not so much) we do hope that Nicholas Hoult can convey his great performance as a likable bald villain into playing Lex Luthor. And there's your one reference to comic book movies that ALL pale in comparison to an action movie that will referenced and spoke of with great reverence decades from now. And now I will retire from writing these show notes to go watch SWEET NOVEMBER or THE DEVIL'S ADVOCATE. Because I remember Charlize. And not much else. Good day! Enjoy and keep reading along with us from Quentin Tarantino's CINEMA SPECULATION! Hancock is a 2008 American superhero film directed by Peter Berg from a screenplay by Vince Gilligan and Vy Vincent Ngo and co-produced by and starring Will Smith in the title role with Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman. The story was originally written by Vy Vincent Ngo in 1996. It languished in development hell for years with various directors attached, including Tony Scott, Michael Mann (who would later co-produce the film), Jonathan Mostow, and Gabriele Muccino, before being filmed in 2007 in Los Angeles with a production budget of $150 million. In the United States, the film was rated PG-13 by the Motion Picture Association of America after changes were made at their request in order to avoid an R rating, which it had received twice before. The film was released on July 2, 2008, in the United States by Columbia Pictures. Hancock received mixed reviews from critics who praised its humor, performances, visual effects and premise, but criticized its execution and failure to deliver on its potential, especially during its second half. It grossed $629 million worldwide, becoming the fourth highest-grossing film of 2008. ABAB Poetry-- "So, huh, Hancock came out in 2008? You would think after Will Smith's 2022 I bet he wished he did this today... Could have gotten some character reconstruction, dude." - Spro "Hancock was a jerk. A superhero with no class. Fighting crime with a smirk, shoving head into ass." - MC "Will Smith played a drunk hero. Who doesn't know Charlize is his equal. The fucks he gives equals zero. Dammit, this movie deserved a sequel." - Rudy

Growing up in New Salem, Ryan Conley and his friends built their own bikes with parts from the junkyard. “As a kid, I remember building jumps on the side of the road …. We used to build little mountain-bike trails,” he said. Now grown, Conley just hosted the first Helderberg Cliffhanger, a mountain-bike race that drew over 350 participants to Thacher Park on Father's Day.Conley came up with the name for the competition, a nod to the escarpment's limestone cliffs as well as a reference to the suspense of racing. He also designed the race logo, which features mountains with a silhouetted cyclist hanging from a steep slope.“I'm a builder,” said Conley, “so I like to build and design and create things.”“The coolest part to me,” Conley says in this week's Enterprise podcast, “is that 160 of those registered were kids from 3 years old on a strider bike to 8 years old in a mountain-bike group through high school.”Conley himself has a 7-year-old son, Pierce, who raced and he also has a 5-year-old daughter, Charlize. He promoted the race with Andy Ruiz, whom he called “a local cyclist legend.”Read the full story at https://altamontenterprise.com/07122022/passion-cycling-led-conley-organize-first-helderberg-cliffhanger See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

This month our Class Reunion series explores 2011's Young Adult. CageClub Podcast Network hosts Dan Colon and John Brooks stop by to chat all about Charlize Theron and her remarkable performance, Patton Oswalt and his brief foray into more dramatic roles, Patrick Wilson being Patrick Wilson, Jason Reitman's early career as well as everything that inspired Diablo Cody to create this memorable film. While Young Adult is not for everyone and probably shouldn't be described as a "feel good" story, Charlize's turn as a struggling Y.A. writer traveling back to her hometown to steal away her high school sweetheart from his perfect suburban life will definitely strike a chord with micro-generation of viewers.

We all love a movie about space, especially when they make no sense! So of course Jordan, John, and Rhiane have a lot of say about the 1999 sci-fi flick "The Astronaut's Wife." They discuss whether or not Charlize Theron's character is raped by her husband or not, Charlize dancing while eating whip-cream in the kitchen, Johnny Depp maintaining his country accent for the ENTIRE movie, a lack of explanation as to what the heck the radio waves are, Charlize's character looking high in her death fantasy, and a lot more. Later, they do a segment of Hallmark, Marry, Kill and All Sides. Please leave a rating and review on iTunes so other people know that this podcast is worthy of a toast. Check out the 2013 romance drama "Tyler Perry's Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor," as it will be the topic of discussion for the next episode. Thanks for listening!
