Instant chemistry. ‘TheWaiting Game' is a powerful documentary that explores how the ABA (AmericanBasketball Association) profoundly shaped professional basketball we knowtoday. At 6'5”, I love basketball. Michael is a director, producer, writer, andnarrator. The founder of Good Vibes Media and the winner of many NationalSports Emmy Awards. ESPN is in his resume as well. Michael has now created theReelist Indie Film Club. Revolutionary. Necessary. Brave. He graduated fromIndiana University. We're fellow Big Ten guys. He's happy beyond as IU won theNational Championship (football). The purpose of this intro is to induceviewing/signing up. Here are particles of energy. Documentary streaming.Reelist pays filmmakers right up front, so they have funds to continue. Thereare Q&A periods to ask questions. Major streamers don't do this. Hugelyreasonable to sign up. First 2 months free. Michael is brilliant, eloquent, passionate, and imaginative. He's building a community. Promotes good stories.Helping filmmakers. I love documentaries. I love his journey. And it's so easyto feel his passion. Bottom line. Documentaries are life, learning, andlessons. Time well spent. Transforms my life,” Calvin

Hilarious and thoughtful, poetic yet humble, this episode with GORDON CLAPP is so much more than NYPD BLUE. Sure, he won an Emmy for his role as Detective Greg Medavoy, and had a cast of great actors like Dennis Franz, Jimmy Smits and so many more to work with, but Gordon seems even more comfortable on stage doing a one man show, or living his best life doing theater in his beloved New England. If you listen to podcasts to smile and be entertained, this episode of The Approach Shot with Gordon Clapp is a must listen. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. What if the career you worked so hard to build, the identity you constructed piece by piece, was never really yours to begin with? What if the version of you that shows up every day, doing the job, earning the title, ticking the boxes, is simply the most convincing role you have ever played? For most of us, the idea of walking away from success feels reckless. We are taught to chase it, protect it, and measure our worth by it. But what happens when success starts to feel like a costume? And what happens when something deeper, quieter, and far more real begins to call you away from it all? That is exactly the question at the heart of this conversation with Frank Elaridi: four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, former producer at Good Morning America, energy healer, and one of the most quietly radical thinkers you will encounter in this space. The Moment the Career Ended Frank spent 12 years covering the biggest stories in the world. Hurricanes. Mass shootings. The Oscars. Interviews with popes, presidents, kings, and queens. By any measure, it was the career most people spend a lifetime chasing. Then one afternoon in Austin, Texas, he was pulled off a romantic holiday to produce a last-minute interview. Standing in the middle of a frantic, frustrating production, a single thought arrived with complete clarity: This is not my life. It was the last thing he ever did for ABC. What followed was not a crisis. It was, in Frank’s words, simply the next unfolding. His Vedic astrology chart had predicted the transition. Multiple healers across different countries had been telling him for years that he was a healer. A Curandera in Mexico had pointed to his heart and laughed when he insisted he was a journalist. None of it had landed until it was meant to. You Are Not the Body. You Are Not the Mind. Frank’s work as a claircognizant energy healer is built on a single, radical idea that sits beneath everything he teaches. You are not the body. You are not the mind. And the moment you truly understand that, not as a concept but as a lived experience, everything changes. This is not a philosophy to admire from a distance. It is a daily practice of turning attention back to the one who is watching, asking the question that collapses all others: Who is it that is seeking? Frank describes three distinct paths people take toward liberation. The left-hand path moves through darkness and shadow. The right-hand path is the way of love, sainthood, and service. And then there is the direct path: self-inquiry. Not processing trauma layer by layer. Not accumulating spiritual practices. Simply finding out who you are from the source of where all of this arose. Three Practices to Carry With You Today Frank closes the conversation with three grounded, accessible practices drawn directly from his teaching: 1. The A Course in Miracles Affirmation. Anytime you feel wronged, dismissed, or hurt today, try this: It is not this I would look upon. I trust my brothers who are one with me. This is forgiveness at its deepest level. Not grace. Not tolerance. Complete detachment from the idea that anything real was ever done to you. 2. The Self-Love Body Practice. Place your left hand palm-up in your lap. Move your right hand to your heart and say: My heart, I love you. Then your eyes. Then your head. Repeat the cycle. Frank shares that people in his community regularly begin to cry during this practice. Consciousness, he says, is self-love. This is how you worship that. 3. The Pre-Sleep Self-Inquiry. Before you fall asleep tonight, ask yourself: Who was I before birth? Who will I be a hundred years from now? Meditate on death as though sleep itself were dying. Little by little, the grip of fear and false identity begins to loosen. Frank Elaridi is the co-author of the Modern Nirvana Oracle Deck, published by Chronicle Books, a TEDx speaker, and the founder of Awaken The Healer Within, his online course and community helping holistic practitioners build thriving healing businesses. We will be releasing this episode every day for the next 33 years, the same amount of time that Bill Murray was presumably stuck in Groundhog's Day. Which is stupid because if the writers of Groundhog's Day knew anything it's that Bill Murray presumably would have been stuck in Groundhog's Day for 6 weeks. That being said, Jordan Hicks improved the Red Sox today. He now plays for the White Sox. Thanks Breslow, you never let us down! Oh yeah and we are joined by Emmy award winner @SeaDogsMark. We had so many people reach out about this episode with LINDA COHN, we are running it again! Linda Cohn, the only sportscaster that anchored over 5,000 episodes of Sports Center. While the boys were coming up with catch phrases like "Back, back, back", "It's deep and I don't think it's playable" and "Booyah!", LINDA COHN was highlighting the games, the plays and made it about the games, not herself. That would explain why she authored the book "Cohn-Head: No Holds Barred Account of Breaking Into the Boys Club." A hockey fanatic from when she was a little girl, she broke barriers, broke records and then broke into the boy's club by being the first full-time U.S. female sports anchor on a national radio network when she was hired by ABC. Delightful, real and incredibly interesting, this episode of The Approach Shot is a must listen! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Interact with Beth, Caroline, Producer Mike, and all of the DTS listeners! GUEST BIO: henry bronchtein Henry Bronchtein was born and raised in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn, New York, the youngest of three sons of a cab-driver father and a homemaker. Henry attended New York University's Tisch School of The Arts to study filmmaking. Perhaps his first big break was working on Raging Bull (1980), as the apprentice assistant director to fellow NYU alumnus, Martin Scorsese. "As a child I was an avid reader, devouring every novel and every comic book put in front of me. I am a member of the first generation to be raised on television. Growing up my favorite shows were Rod Serling 's The Twilight Zone (1959), Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955), I Love Lucy (1951), and The Honeymooners (1955). I particularly loved Jackie Gleason''s vision of the working-class life of a bus driver living in Bensonhurst. It not only made me laugh it seemed to illustrate and illuminate my life. "When I was sick, my mother would go to the corner candy store and buy every comic book on the stand for me. She would install me on the living room couch, in front of the TV with them. There I'd lay with a blanket, a pillow and a glass of hot tea laced with a teaspoon of cognac; this was the prescription for healing. I would rest there for hours, reading and watching television, engrossed in the worlds of drama and comedy. At an early age I experienced their ability to reach me in important ways." ### For over 35 years, Beth Kushnick has created character-driven settings for countless award-winning television series and feature films. Joe Celli now entering the stage instead of being behind the scenes on this episode! Originally from Boston Joe Celli is an "Award winning Art Director. Trained as an actor at Emerson College he found himself more comfortable working behind the scenes. Captivated by the magic of transforming an idea on paper into three dimentional reality, he now puts those skills to use on a variety of prodjects from live theater and corporate events to marketing campaigns, films and live televison." Joe gives "Breezy With No Filter" listeners an idea of what it is like having a dream and passion for the art of film/theatrics and going for it and actually taking home exceptional achievements & regognitions to his new home in LA. We also get filled in on some intell of Kanye West, the behind the scenes activity that happened when North West performed for "Lion King" live....Also how terrible Ellen Degerate is and much more. Joe is just such a kind, funny, talented human being who in my eyes "made it" and still chases that next big gig all the while staying humble and also has a down to earth personality....his only flaw is road rage and I hope he takes my one tip next time instead of "flipping the bird"! The message is clear: The future of work will be defined by rapid technological advancement, requiring individuals and organizations to embrace adaptability as a core competency. Leveraging tools like the AQai model and fostering a supportive and agile work environment will be critical to thriving in the age of acceleration. Join me on this just released 15-minute documentary titled Pivot Power, Navigating Work in the Age of Acceleration. Directed by the acclaimed Nick Nanton, a 22-time Emmy Award Winner, this film provides profound insights from industry leaders on how organizations can navigate and thrive amidst technological advancements and AI integration. You can view the documentary here. https://adaptabilitytoolkit.com/pivot-power/ Key Theme include: Accelerating Pace of Change AI Disruption and Opportunity Adaptability as the Essential Skill The Adaptability Quotient (AQ) Key Insights and Facts: Skills Obsolescence: The half-life of skills is shrinking rapidly, with estimates suggesting that 40-80% of current skills could become irrelevant within the next 5-6 years. Company Longevity: The lifespan of companies is also decreasing. The average life cycle of a typical business model has shrunk to 2-3 years. AI Augmenting Human Capabilities: The focus should be on leveraging AI to enhance human capabilities and empower individuals to perform tasks more efficiently and effectively. Importance of Organizational Support: Companies must foster a culture that embraces experimentation, accepts failure, and provides support for employee development and adaptation. "Mushroom moments" represent the period of hidden development and growth, while "flower moments" signify the time when these advancements come to light and are widely recognized. Adaptability allows individuals and organizations to thrive in both phases, fostering continuous development and ensuring they are prepared for the "flower moment" when it arrives. The 10,000-hour-to-become-an-expert-rule is outdated because the rapid evolution of technology and information renders skills obsolete much faster. Continuous learning and adaptability are more critical than accumulating expertise in a single area over a long period.

Today, I'm chatting with Emmy Award winner Kevin Spirtas about the debut of season 3 of his 6-time Emmy Award-winning digital series, After Forever. The show stars Kevin as Brian and Mitchell Anderson (Doogie Howser, Party of Five) as Jason, a "50-ish" gay couple living in New York City who appear to have it all -- until Jason's untimely death from cancer forces Brian to think about his future and ultimately his mortality, without the love of his life. Season three finds Brian exploring therapy as a means to help him move through his grief while he also attempts to address the idea of dating again. I've known Kevin since our early days pursuing acting in New York City when he was featured in several Broadway productions, including A Chorus Line, Meet Me in St. Louis, and was the official standby for Hugh Jackman in The Boy From Oz. Along the way, daytime TV fans came to know Kevin through his long-running role on Days of Our Lives as “Dr. Craig Wesley.” In 2014, Kevin ran into former Days Of Our Lives writer Michael Slade in a New York gym. Eager to create their own opportunities, the two set out to create a series about gay men over 50. In 2019, After Forever—Season 1 made history by becoming the most Emmy-awarded LGBTQ-themed drama series on any platform. Kevin received an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Digital Drama, along with three additional Emmys that he shares with Michael Slade for Outstanding Digital Drama Series 2019 and Outstanding Writing Team for a Digital Drama in 2019 and 2020. The series was also honored with a special recognition award in 2021 by the GLAAD Media Awards. Season 3 of After Forever is available now on Vimeo. Head over to https://afterforevertheseries.com for links to the new episodes. Season 1 and 2 are available on Amazon Prime Video and Dekkoo.
