Dans un nouvel épisode du podcast Le Cheat Code, nous avons reçu Alexandra Fortin, avocate et fondatrice du Hive Club.Son parcours sort clairement du cadre classique de la profession : études de psychologie, retour à la fac de droit à Paris, 11 années de collaboration, dont 7 en télétravail depuis l'Espagne… bien avant que cela devienne la norme.Mais derrière ce parcours atypique, il y a surtout une réflexion de fond qui parle aujourd'hui à de nombreux avocats : comment retrouver de la liberté, du sens et du contrôle sur sa carrière ?À travers son témoignage, Alexandra montre qu'il est possible de repenser son exercice sans forcément renoncer à la robe.Une trajectoire atypique qui bouscule les codesLe parcours d'Alexandra Fortin ne suit pas la voie toute tracée. Avant le droit, il y a d'abord eu la psychologie. Puis Montpellier. Puis Paris, avec une inscription en faculté de droit sans vision figée de ce que serait la suite.Cette capacité à avancer sans tout verrouiller à l'avance, en restant curieuse et ouverte, est d'ailleurs l'un des fils rouges de son histoire. Pendant plus de dix ans, elle exerce comme collaboratrice, avec une organisation peu commune pour l'époque : sept années de télétravail depuis l'Espagne.Une manière déjà très personnelle d'exercer le métier, qui illustre une idée forte de cet épisode : la profession d'avocat peut se vivre de multiples façons, bien au-delà du schéma traditionnel que beaucoup pensent encore unique.Le vrai sujet : redonner du sens à une profession en pleine remise en questionL'un des points les plus intéressants de l'épisode, c'est qu'il dépasse largement le seul cas personnel d'Alexandra.Son témoignage met en lumière une réalité que beaucoup d'avocats vivent aujourd'hui : une forme de désillusion après quelques années d'exercice.Fatigue, perte de sens, sentiment d'enfermement, envie de liberté… De plus en plus de professionnels se demandent s'ils veulent continuer ainsi, voire s'ils veulent continuer tout court. Certains envisagent même de quitter la profession.Pour Alexandra Fortin, cette remise en question est réelle, mais elle ne signifie pas nécessairement qu'il faut abandonner le métier. Elle invite plutôt à se poser une autre question :et si le problème n'était pas le droit lui-même, mais la manière dont on croit devoir l'exercer ?C'est toute la force de cet échange : montrer qu'il existe des alternatives, des modèles hybrides, des activités accessoires, des façons plus libres d'envisager sa carrière. Et que connaître ces possibilités peut suffire à redonner de l'élan.Être avocat, c'est aussi cultiver sa curiosité… et son esprit entrepreneurialÀ travers son parcours, Alexandra défend une conviction forte : la curiosité intellectuelle est un moteur essentiel.C'est elle qui permet de ne pas se laisser enfermer dans une définition trop étroite du métier. C'est aussi elle qui ouvre la porte à de nouvelles opportunités.Son expérience illustre parfaitement cette idée : l'entrepreneuriat n'est pas forcément une rupture avec la profession d'avocat, mais peut devenir un prolongement naturel. Développer une activité complémentaire, transmettre, former, créer une communauté, structurer une offre différente… autant de pistes qui permettent de retrouver de l'autonomie.Dans cet épisode, on comprend que l'esprit entrepreneurial n'est plus un “plus” pour les avocats : il devient, pour beaucoup, un levier de survie, de liberté et d'épanouissement. Based in Zurich, Switzerland, Antja is a regular fixture at the main underground clubs in the city such as Hive Club, Friedas Büxe, Supermarket and Revier.
