In this episode, Channa Channa Channa talks to Matt Sokol the founding member, guitarist and vocalist of blackened speed/thrash metal band Wraith that hails from Northwest Indiana. Channa discovered Wraith when they released a split EP “Speed Armageddon” with the Australian black thrash and roll band Bastardizer. Matt got into rock influenced by his Dad, he started playing guitar in middle school. He also played for bands like SKOG , Headlock prior to forming Wraith. Wraith was formed in 2016 and released their debut full length album Absolute Power in 2019. Wraith consist of Matt Sokol on Vocals/Guitars, Chris Petkus on Bass, Mike Szymendera on Drums and Jason Schultz on lead guitars. Ryan Berrier is the drummer thrash metal crossover band, Green Death. Ryan has also been involved in some of the more prominent bands to come out of central Iowa playing drums for bands like Facecage, Index Case, and Marcato. He even toured the world as part of Corey Taylor's (Slipknot/Stone Sour) Junk Beer Kidnap Band. His experiences and insights have played an essential role in Green Death's journey having signed with Dave Ellefson's (Megadeth) EMP label group in 2015 and having played numerous sold out shows.
