I blame Clint Hall for me singing Roger Millers "Two Worlds Collide" for the last couple of months.  No, his sci-fi Worlds Collide has nothing to do with that song, but... I'm DYING to read it.  Listen in and see why. note: links may be affiliate links that provide me with a small commission at no extra expense to you.  Space wars? Prophecy?  EEEP!!! I found Worlds Collide while writing one of my books and was eager to get a copy of it. Thanks to Clint for the lovely copy sitting on my shelf right next to me.  Time to start! Worlds Collide by Clint Hall Five worlds at war. Only one can survive. Ten thousand years ago, five cosmic beings—a dragon, a phoenix, a serpent, a lion, and a wolf—set their worlds on an inevitable collision course. Each civilization was given one command: destroy the rival worlds, or crash into them and die. As the planets draw near to each other, the moment of final reckoning is at hand. In a galaxy filled with starfighters and superweapons, magic and manipulation, planet-killing devices and mechanized legions, five heroes must defend their homeworlds against overwhelming odds. But when prophecy and destiny collide, a far greater power begins to stir—one that challenges everything they've been told. Oaths will be broken. Chains will be shattered. Champions will rise. The fate of the universe hangs in the balance as these heroes discover whether any world deserves to survive. The War of the Creators has begun. Perfect for fans of Red Rising, The Expanse, and mythic sci-fi epics, Worlds Collide blends high-stakes interplanetary war with a legendary, fate-driven mystery—where the final battle may not be what it seems. Learn more on Clint's WEBSITE and follow on GoodReads. The Experience podcast starts up in September. Like to listen on the go? Break My Chains, O Deliverer! "Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him up. “Quick, get up!” he said, and the chains fell off Peter's wrists." Acts 12:7 In the depths of our hearts, we cry out for liberation, a fervent plea steeped in the darkness of our chains. Each chain weighs heavy, wrapped around our spirits, holding us back from the radiant light God offers. We yearn for the dawn that bursts forth from our deepest night, a signal of hope, a testament of His relentless love. In the stillness of our desperation, we find that one touch from the Almighty can end years of bondage, leading us into a realm of unparalleled freedom. The story of Peter, confined in a prison with iron chains shackling his hands, echoes through time. In Acts 12:7, an angel of the Lord appears, illuminating the darkness and declaring, “Get up quickly; and the chains fell off his hands.” God's divine intervention is a powerful reminder of how swiftly He can break every cycle and every addiction that confines us. Psalm 107:14 beautifully reassures us that He “brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and broke their chains in pieces.” Psalm 23:4 says, "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me." Reflect on your own life. What chains have held you captive? Lay them before the Lord in desperation, believing that His light can strike through the shadows that cloud your soul. Allow His presence to fill the void of fear and despair, transforming your heart's cries into affirmations of faith. Embrace the truth that we are children of the Most High, meant to walk in victory and not in defeat. As we lift our voices in prophetic prayer today, let's declare: "Chains of addiction, I command you to break! Struggles that bind me, I release you into the hands of the Deliverer!" Be bold, speak your freedom into existence. And feel the chains fall away as you invite His liberating spirit into your circumstances. Amen. Nahum 1:13, "Now I will break the yoke of bondage from your neck and tear off the chains of Assyrian oppression.” Amen. Prayer for the Day!Heavenly Father, thank You for Your relentless love, for each moment of grace we receive. Light of God, flood my night; shatter iron chains and lead me beyond every gate that keeps me confined. In the powerful name of Jesus, I declare my freedom and walk forth in the fullness of Your peace. In Jesus name. Amen. https://maglife.org

What does it cost to stay true to your music?   In this episode of Someone Gets Me, Dianne A. Allen sits down with singer-songwriter and guitarist Adam Reifsnyder as he shares what it felt like to watch that happen from the outside, how he wrote through divorce, pregnancy loss, and a cancer diagnosis in the same year, and why he still gets up at 5:30 in the morning to make music because he simply cannot stop.   Adam's story is not about fame. It is about the kind of soul-level commitment to a creative life that does not bend to timelines, industry rules, or anyone else's definition of success.   Watch the Someone Gets Me Podcast – Beyond the Hit Song: An Honest Conversation with Adam Reifsnyder   Did you enjoy this episode? Subscribe to the channel, tap the notification bell, and leave a comment!   You can also listen to the show on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music.   Adam Reifsnyder is a Cleveland, Ohio–based indie folk-pop singer-songwriter creating intimate, cinematic songs rooted in storytelling, catchy melody, and emotional detail. A longtime fixture in the Cleveland indie music scene, Adam is a co-founder of Honeybucket, a Newgrass trio that became a staple of the local circuit. He was also a founding member of WALK THE MOON and co-writer of their breakout hit “Anna Sun.” Beyond that, Adam has recorded and performed under the synth-pop/rock moniker Astronymer, whose song “Miles to Go” (with Jul Big Green) was featured as the opening theme for the 44th Cleveland International Film Festival. Adam is also one-half of the indie folk duo The Fairdowells, alongside his musical and life partner Lauren Morgan. Their debut EP, Origins, was released in 2020 shortly after the birth of their twins, and explores some of the ups and downs of an incredibly challenging year in their lives.  As a solo artist, Adam leans into indie folk-pop songwriting with a cinematic edge, blending acoustic textures, folk and pop production, and emotionally direct lyrics. His 2025 release Better Late Than Never (Deluxe) spans everything from acoustic folk-pop anthems like “Heading Back” to haunting indie rock and the John Mayer–influenced “Sunday Morning.” Most recently, Adam collaborated with folk songwriter Gretchen Pleuss on a series of intimate indie folk duets, including "Carry Me," their folk reimagining of Prince's "When Doves Cry," and the haunting anthem "Here In My Room." Their full EP, The Rest of You, was released in May 2026.  Support Adam on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/cw/AdamReifsnyderMusic  TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@adamreifsnydermusic  Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/adamreifsnydermusic  Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/adamreifsnydermusic  Website: https://adamreifsnyder.com    Stream Adam's Latest Album: https://hypeddit.com/gretchenpleussadamreifsnyder/therestofyouep    How to Connect with Dianne A. It takes the whole chapter of Chapter 5 to make it work. Just a burger takes several parts to make the whole. Well, listen to it, and maybe you will learn something. The something will be powerful if you apply it.

Latent Space: The AI Engineer Podcast — CodeGen, Agents, Computer Vision, Data Science, AI UX and all things Software 3.0

Imagine a dark warehouse. Racks and racks of devices with wires, tubes, and electronics sticking out. The next AI data center? No. This is Lila Sciences‘ dream for the future of science. A dark warehouse full of AI-guided robotics and lab equipment, cranking out new experiments 24/7, building toward a scientific superintelligence.Their automated lab is almost hypnotizing to watch. They have floating plates zipping around on Wall-E-esque tracks, used vision-language models to control Windows 95 boxes, and created the world's largest collection of voided warranties. In the process they've built a massive library of scientific reasoning tokens. Over 10 trillion of them, all experimentally validated. No warranties were voided in the making of this videoTo say Lila is ambitious is an understatement. Their goal is a scientific superintelligence wired directly into the wet lab. They are all in on the bitter lesson, and the thesis follows from it: a lab is an infinite token generator. Produce data at scale, and the synergies give you a general reasoner that can tackle any scientific problem. They are committing hard. Biology, chemistry, drug discovery, and materials science, all at the same time. Time will tell if it works, but it is an exciting hypothesis. In our latest episode we sat down with Lila's very own Andy Beam (CTO) and Rafa Gómez-Bombarelli (CSO, physical sciences) and went on a journey through the possibilities of AI-run science, almost as wide-ranging as Lila's goals.Did we mention they do both materials science and biology? In the same AI science factory? Same time, same lab, same AI. Finally a guest who can settle a long-running debate we've had amongst ourselves: is biology or materials science harder?Watch to find out!We discuss:* The internet is spent, science is next. Why Lila thinks the scientific method is the last untapped internet-scale dataset, and why they treat RL as a data generation mechanism with nature as the verifier.* The lab as a data center. Instruments as nodes on a graph, a magnetically levitating “PCI bus” transport layer between them, orchestration as a slurm queue. Andy is not short on analogies.* Why Lila insists it is not an automation company. They optimize for flexibility and generalizability over raw throughput, which means humans stay below the API line wherever automating does not pay.* Your experiment has a runtime. We put Escalante Bio's question to Andy: if science is the token generator, what is the runtime of your data collection? His answer, in short, is that you cannot make the ribosome go faster. Why Lila bets on fast round-over-round iteration rather than big noisy multiplexed screens, and how Rafa's team rebuilt a gas sorption measurement to run roughly 2,500x faster.* What is actually in 10 trillion scientific tokens. Not sequences. Experimentally verified reasoning traces, a kind of data that Andy argues exists on the internet in quantities that round to zero.* Breadth as a path to depth. Small molecule chemistry priors transferring to metal organic frameworks for carbon capture, and the claim that the general model beats domain-specific models sample for sample.* If you have the data, what do you need the model for? Sri Kosuri's koan about the ML-for-drug-discovery business model, and Andy's answer: the coding model got better because it also read Shakespeare and carnitas recipes.* The serendipity they want to automate. Emily Whitehead survived the first pediatric CAR-T cure only because the doctor treating her happened to know, from pediatric arthritis, which antibody would blunt her IL-6 response. Roll that dice again and you probably lose her. Breadth is how you stop depending on luck.* Move 37 for catalysts. Model suggestions for platinum-group-free electrocatalysts that went from boring, to what a 40-paper expert called stupid, to the best performers they have made.* Six months to in vivo CAR-T data in non-human primates, and the zero-FTE virtual startup commercial model that fell out of it. For context on why that number is startling, AbbVie paid $2.1B for Capstan on the strength of preclinical in vivo CAR-T data.* You cannot have scientific superintelligence if you are just a good test taker. Ken Stanley, who wrote Why Greatness Cannot Be Planned, runs open-endedness at Lila. RL at scale gives you a ruthlessly Vulcan problem solver. Machine creativity is a different thing, and it is the part nobody has solved.* The chain of thought is an unreliable narrator. The model reasons in latent space and only emits tokens. Sometimes it skips the experiment entirely and is still right. So how much do you trust the reasoning versus the verifier?* Reward hacking when the rollout is physical. Chains of thought that collapse into repetition, and a model that got annoyed and swore at the scientist who kept asking it to redo a plate map. What happens when a pathological loop has a wet lab inside it?* The bittersweet lesson. Rafa's inversion of the bitter lesson: in AI, scaling is a roadmap. In materials, scaling is a filter, because only the things that scale end up mattering.* Not your typical Flagship company. Why a famously single-asset biotech incubator spun out a platform bet, and Andy's line that if Lila called itself a biopharma it would have a top-three GPU cluster.* Bottlenecks they would remove by fiat. Sim-to-real for physics-based simulation, and the fact that RL training runs at roughly 5% mean FLOP utilization.Watch on YouTube: This is a public episode. Leave us a messge!!///// RE-RELEASE/////In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I talk about power exchange in a female-led relationship and how different that can look from one couple to another.A lot of people still hear “female-led relationship” and automatically think BDSM, whips, chains, abuse, or some extreme version of domination. I want to help break that stigma. Yes, some FLRs include BDSM, chastity, humiliation, ruined orgasms, financial control, or other forms of power exchange. But not all of them do, and they sure do not have to.In this episode, I talk about how an FLR can be defined by whatever works for the people actually living it. Maybe the woman is the breadwinner. Maybe she makes the decisions. Maybe she controls the money. Maybe she delegates the money management because she does not want to deal with it. Maybe the relationship is equal in day-to-day life, but she takes full control in the bedroom. Maybe the dynamic is 24/7. Maybe it is not.I also talk about our own relationship and how, from the outside, we might look backwards compared to what people expect from an FLR. My husband is the primary breadwinner, and I handle a lot of the home life. But he is still deeply attentive, service-minded, supportive, and committed to making my life better. That is part of our power exchange. The biggest point is that you get to make your FLR your own. There is no single correct version. There is no rulebook that says your dynamic has to look extreme, sexual, public, or perfectly labeled. The level of power exchange in your relationship is determined by you and your partner, and the only hard rule is that it has to be consensual.5 Talking PointsFLR does not have to mean BDSMI talk about how female-led relationships have traditionally been associated with BDSM, but that definition is too narrow. An FLR can include kink, but it does not have to.You get to define your own power exchangeEvery couple gets to decide what female leadership looks like for them. It might involve money, decision-making, service, bedroom control, domestic roles, or emotional support. There is no single correct FLR structureSome relationships may look traditionally female-led from the outside, while others may not. What matters is not how outsiders label it. What matters is whether the dynamic works for the people living it.Power exchange can benefit both partnersI talk about why some men may enjoy letting go of control, especially if they carry a lot of responsibility in daily life. For some submissive men, being told what to do and serving their partner can bring fulfillment, peace, and purpose.Confidence is one of the biggest gifts FLR has given meFor me, one of the biggest benefits of this relationship has not just been power or control. It has been confidence. This dynamic has helped me feel stronger, sexier, more grounded, and more certain in the life I am choosing. To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships!
