Lady V's Weekly Devotional O God, you are my God: I earnestly search for you. My soul thirsts for you; my whole body longs for you in this parched and weary land where there is no water. Psalm 63:1, NLT Devotional Much like David, we can find ourselves in a wilderness, lacking and searching for something to quench our thirst and refuel our fire for living. Sometimes, you may feel like you’re alone in this, struggling in life with its many tugs and pulls. And, you need some help to continue on your journey. The exhaustion can take its hold on you and you can feel EMPTY. You are about to give out, feeling weak with every step. Without a doubt, you’re spiritually weary from all the worry, and you’re tired. Not only are you thirsty for a physical refreshing, but you need a spiritual refreshing as well. You may look to others, but no one can fill your cup. And, you’re still left thirsty. Photo by Jared Erondu on Unsplash The wilderness experience reveals that there is only one solution. The search leads to the ONLY answer—to be submerged in God’s presence. You see, there’s a need for the Living Water that only Jesus can give. It is a refreshing of life that starts you on a journey of love. Not only do you receive the greatest gift of salvation, but you receive all that you need in HIM. There’s a relationship with Jesus that comes with a lifetime guarantee that you are never alone, and HE is always with you. No matter what comes your way, the LORD can give you a rest that refreshes your Spirit, Body, and Soul. He can fill your cup to overflowing. Jesus said, “Are you weary, carrying a heavy burden? Then come to me. I will refresh your life, for I am your oasis” (See Matthew 11:28, TPT). You see, an oasis is defined as a fertile spot in a desert, where water is found. Also, it is a pleasant or peaceful area in the midst of a difficult, troubled, or hectic place or situation. In fact, Jesus is all that you’ve been searching for. He’s the Prince of Peace, a perfect Friend, a Wonderful Counselor, a Deliverer, the Bread of Life, the Comforter, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings, the Bright Morning Star, the Word of God, The Son of God, and THE Savior of the World. Beloved, just have faith in Jesus, and let HIM refresh you and fill your cup. Receive Him into your heart and make room for a love that surpasses your expectations. Come and take the journey with Jesus and experience the refreshing of new life. JESUS is enough! Have faith in God. Jesus is LORD!!! For this episode we talk with Jared Erondu about his lessons for us and the surprising similarities between this show and his project Playbook, where designers share answers to tough questions that many of us face on a daily basis.
It was only a few hundred years ago that explorers sought out the Fountain of Youth so that the King and Queen could live forever. Unfortunately the explorers were not successful, but it shows that man continues to find ways to live forever. What many fail to realize is ‘The Fountain of Living Water' is from out of this world and in the world of God. The Living Waters will be found in the New Jerusalem when God's kingdom is set up on this earth after everything has been made new. Everyone who endures will be able to drink from it, as well as eat from the Tree of Life. The only way to eat and drink of these eternal treasures is to receive the greatest treasure.
