One can only find the ‘Secret Place' in God. Because that covering only happens if one chooses to put his or her trust in God.  With that in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read Psalm 91? If so, what are your thoughts? If not, no worries, we've got you covered. This is your time to receive the Gift of Salvation through Christ Jesus.  Now, you may be wondering, "Why do I need that?" Oh, I'm so glad you asked. The Bible says, that because  Adam ate fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil -- he released sin into the world.  And ultimately, Adam's sin brought death and death spread to everyone.  No doubt, you may be thinking, "Of course, everyone is going to die." But, my question to you is "Where will you spend eternity?" Because there is life after death. In fact, when you die you go to one of two places -- heaven or hell.  Also, it is important to understand that, Adam's sin also brought an eternity in hell. But for those who choose not to receive the free gift of eternal life. Thus, you must make that choice before you take your last breath.  Romans 5:17 New Living Translation says,  “For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God's wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ.”  To sum it all up, Romans 6:23 New Living Translation says,  “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.”  So, if you are reading this, don't let another day go by without receiving this life-changing gift.  Scripture   Romans 10:8-10 New Living Translation says,  “8 …“The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach:  9 If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.  10 For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”  Salvation Prayer  Lord Jesus, I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. Biblical Talks  In general, everyone has felt some form of judgement and/or shame by others. Thus, in this episode of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V discuss John 8:1-11 (NASB). Specifically, this passage is the story of the adulterous woman. In fact, the scribes and Pharisees caught her in the act of adultery, then brought her to Jesus. They wanted to see what He would say about the matter. Because the law of Moses commanded that they stone her. But instead of allowing them to shame or judge her, Jesus set her free.  She is one of the many examples throughout the Gospels of those freed by Jesus. Biblical Talks  Life's challenges may sometimes seem overwhelming. Despite the circumstances, you may have been seeking a solution for years, willing to try almost anything, yet without success. In those moments, hopelessness may creep in. However, it is crucial to stay persistent in hope, trusting that God has a plan.  In this episode of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V explore an example of this in John 5:1-15 from the New Living Translation. This scripture gives the account of a man paralyzed for thirty-eight years, lying at the pool of Bethesda.  Legend told of an angel descending to stir the waters of the pool. The first one to enter after the stirring would be cured of any ailment they suffered. The paralyzed man was present, yearning to be the fortunate one, yet his attempts were fruitless. But his persistence in hope never wavered, year after year. You see, God had a plan – a perfect plan – on the way.  Upon Jesus of Nazareth's return to Jerusalem during a Jewish holy day, He encountered the paralyzed man. Following a brief conversation, Jesus healed him, and the man immediately regained the ability to walk. Although the man had been waiting for the stirring of the pool, God had a different plan in store for him.  With that in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read John 5:1-15? Biblical Talks  In this installment of Biblical Talks, SD and Lady V delve into Genesis Chapter 2, Genesis 3:1-13, and Luke 22:39-53. These scriptures offer insights into handling temptation. We analyze the two gardens and their teachings. Initially, in the Garden of Eden, we witness Adam yielding to the temptation he faced. In contrast, in the Garden of Gethsemane, we observe Jesus' opposite response as He resisted temptation.  Life consists of a succession of choices. Sometimes, those choices entice us to make decisions that lead to negative outcomes. Often, our decisions have a direct impact on those around us. Therefore, upon examining the aforementioned texts, we can observe the significant influence that Adam and Jesus of Nazareth have had on the world.  With the above scriptures in mind, here are a couple questions for you. Have you read about ‘The Two Gardens'? If so, what are your thoughts? If you haven't, no worries, we've got you covered. As a follower of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I believe God has ordered my steps and all I have to do is be obedient. Another thing I've learned is that if I'm not obedient, God has a way of getting me back on track. Glory to God!  In fact, for those who don't believe in Jesus, He has a way of reaching them as well. Biblical Talks  In this episode of Biblical Talks, we discuss Mark 6:30-44 New Living Translation. This passage shows the gracious provision of Jesus of Nazareth. And how he feed the multitude--five thousand men and their families. Furthermore, we see His deep sympathy and compassion for those who made the choice to follow Him. Thus, He would meet one's physical and spiritual needs. Because Jesus Christ is the Good Shepherd.   When looking at this further, the parable of the lost sheep paints an excellent picture.  So, let's look at Luke 15:3-7 New Living Translation.  “Tax collectors and other notorious sinners often came to listen to Jesus teach. 2 This made the Pharisees and teachers of religious law complain that he was associating with such sinful people—even eating with them!  3 So Jesus told them this story: 4 “If a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Won't he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one that is lost until he finds it?   5 And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. 6 When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.'  7 In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God than over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven't strayed away!”  Now, here are a couple questions for you.

Biblical Talks  In this episode of Biblical Talks, we discuss Mark 10:13-16 New International Version. If you are thinking, “What is simply simple about this passage?” Well, in this passage people were bringing children to Jesus. Because they wanted Him to lay His hands on them. Now the disciples reprimanded the people for bringing the children to Jesus. But when Jesus saw this, He was angry with the disciples.  In Mark 10:14-15, Jesus says, "14...“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. 15 Truly I tell you, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”  The beauty of this passage is that we all can come to Jesus of Nazareth. We needed Jesus, Immanuel—God with us!   The prophet Isaiah and Matthew, the apostle, made the proclamation of who Jesus IS—as did many others.  Isaiah called HIM a Great Light, a Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:2-6, ESV). And Matthew called HIM “Immanuel” which means God with us (Matthew 1:23).   Thus, we should never entertain the thoughts of being alone. We that are in Christ have the GREATER ONE with us. He is the Light that shines in the darkness. Jesus Christ—The Light in which the darkness has not overcome (John 1:5).  HE is the name you call on when you need saving from the darkness. Thus, there is nothing or no one else who can save you.   JESUS is ALL we need!  Jesus IS and always will be GOD with us.   We are never alone! The Greater ONE (IMMANUEL) is walking with us.  Beloved, if you are facing dark times there is a way out of darkness. The NAME that lights the way and roots out darkness. The NAME that is THE WAY!  HIS NAME is JESUS, IMMANUEL, GOD WITH US! The NAME above every name!   So, don't keep stumbling around in the dark!  Jesus IS the LIGHT of the world!  REACH FOR THE LIGHT!!  Let's pray...  Heavenly FATHER,   We come to you in the Name of Jesus, Immanuel, our God who is with us. We are thankful for Your Word that reveals that You are ONE.  We thank you for YOUR great love through YOUR SON, our LORD and Savior, JESUS.  FATHER GOD, we thank YOU for loving us and extending such grace to us through YOUR Son.  Thank YOU for the gift of YOUR HOLY SPIRIT, given to help us as we walk through this life.  Thank YOU, ABBA FATHER, that you sent us Jesus to light the way as HE is revealed as the LIGHT of the world, the TRUTH, THE WAY, and THE LIFE.  Thank YOU that YOU'VE given us the promise through YOUR Word that you will never leave us nor abandon us. For YOU are with us now and in ETERNITY.    We thank YOU FATHER for gifting us with Salvation through YOUR Son Jesus.   And Father God, I pray that every Believer will be reminded every day that we are not alone because YOU ARE WITH US.   Thank YOU for loving us and keeping us.   We love YOU Abba! All glory to your Name!  And it's in Jesus Name we pray...AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!  Grace and Peace to you all. And remember that JESUS IS LORD!  Prayer Scriptures  Matthew 1:23 John 1:1-9, 3:16, 10:30,14:26,19:30 Deuteronomy 31:8 Isaiah 60:1  Bible Study Resources  Holy Bible [NKJV, NLT, Amplified, MEV, ESV]  Get the Bible App by YouVersion  NLT Chronological Life Application Study Bible and Zondervan Handbook to the Bible   More devotionals you may like   In HIS Presence – S3-DE17  Heart of Compassion – S3-DE16  New Things to Come – S2-DE20  Listen to We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast with SD and Lady V  Use web player above blog post to listen or subscribe and listen via your favorite podcast platform.  We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast episodes you may enjoy  HIM: The Importance of God's Presence – S3E17  Lost and Found: The Compassion of Christ – S3E16  Let It Go and Receive God's Best – S2E20  Eternity Awaits – S2E17  Identity Crisis–Do You Know Who You Are? Fireside Chat  Why is love important? And why should we love God and love others?  1 Corinthians 13:13 New Living Translation says,  “Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”  When you look at society as a whole from the past to the present day -- what do you observe? Well, I see a lack of love. No doubt, we all would agree that the world would be better if everyone operated from a place of LOVE.  In Closing  Again, the questions I posed above were, "Why is love important?" and "Why love God and love others? Walking in TRUTH and LOVE—S4 Dep12

Lady V's Devotional Episode  2 John 1:4-6 ESV says this:  4 I rejoiced greatly to find some of your children walking in the truth, just as we were commanded by the Father.   5 And now I ask you, dear lady—not as though I were writing you a new commandment, but the one we have had from the beginning—that we love one another.   6 And this is love, that we walk according to his commandments; this is the commandment, just as you have heard from the beginning, so that you should walk in it.  2 John 1:4-6 ESV  0 Devotional  Why is love and truth in the “Perfect Will of GOD?    Imagine if the whole world believed in Jesus and walked in LOVE and THE TRUTH with one another. I believe the earth would look a lot better right now.  There would be no criminal activity. There wouldn't be anyone hating one another. Evil wouldn't have a grip on anyone.  Love IS essential and the truth IS in the Word of God.  Jesus said it like this, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and all your mind (Matt. 22:37, ESV). Jesus said that was the great and first commandment.   Next, Jesus said, “And second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (v.39).”  Think about it--If more of us would love God and love others, that alone could change lives!  And as believers in Jesus Christ, our love walk in Christ should make a statement. It should always be a contribution of grace into society. In other words, following Jesus' example of love would bring healing. It would affect lives for the better.   In keeping with this, the world would see our love walk in Christ, but—so would our children, our family.  LOVE makes a difference! Love always affects someone's life to bring about good.  The Word of God describes what love should look like...  Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking. It is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres (1 Corin. 13:4-7 NIV).  It may seem difficult...But with God—ALL things are POSSIBLE!!!  This is why it's so important to understand God's love for us.   In John 3:16, Jesus said, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life (ESV).”  God loves us! HE sent HIS SON, Jesus, to do what only HE could have done—brought Salvation by HIS grace—HIS unmerited love. God made it POSSIBLE!  God did this through Jesus.  Need more proof of God's love for the world and that love is important?  Well, everything began with the love of God. The breath of life in Adam and Eve in the beginning.  Looking back—Adam and Eve could have been cancelled (erased) after they disobeyed God. But God had a better plan to redeem mankind.  Salvation through Jesus on the Cross happened to reconcile mankind back to God—all because of God's love.  That statement alone speaks volumes of HIS “LOVE”.   The Creator of all things made a decision after Adam and Eve's sin of disobedience. It was clear everyone in the world would struggle with the sin of disobedience to God's Perfect Will.  God Willed for mankind to receive a chance to begin again.  Everyone in the world would need a Savior. But, no one else but God's Son could make this right.  Now, because of Jesus, everyone has the opportunity to receive the free gift of Salvation. Through JESUS new life, forgiveness of sins, reconciliation back to God, comes by grace. Believing in Jesus brings change.  That's love!  Salvation—a grace gift! Paid for by Jesus' shed Blood on the Cross—The TRUTH! And the TRUTH, which is the Gospel of Jesus, reveals God's love for the world. HIS love is so great that HE doesn't want anyone to have to spend eternity apart from HIM.

Because the Lord Jesus Christ is the only one who honors His word.  1 John 5:14-15 New King James Version says,  “14 Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”  Moreover, He has made it very clear that He will always be there.    Conclusion  Now, you may be someone who is skeptical about trusting God because people in your life have often let you down. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Psalm 46:1 NKJV says this:  “God is our refuge and strength,  A very present help in trouble.”  Psalm 46:1 NKJV  Devotional  How many times do we try to figure things out ourselves when trouble comes? Most likely, our first response is... “What am I going to do?”   And if we are honest...we immediately start meditating on that problem instead of praying to God for help.  I know, I know...it's a human thing to panic first and pray later. But, just like the people of Israel found out—GOD should be the first ONE you consult.  God is accessible and always available to hear the cries of HIS children. He's an EVER-PRESENT Help in times of trouble—meaning right NOW!  I'm here to tell you that GOD is a FAITHFUL Heavenly Father who never grows tired of helping us. If you call on HIM—He will answer!  He is our strength when we are weak. He is our refuge when we need shelter from the storm. GOD is an EVER-PRESENT HELP!  LET HIM HELP YOU!  He is willing to help if we would LET HIM into our lives and fully surrender to HIS PERFECT WILL.   And much like the people of Israel, we have to learn by experience that keeping our total trust in God will always pay off.  In fact, keeping our focus on God and depending on HIM for HIS help, keeps us in a posture of worship before HIM. Total surrender!  No matter the situation—GOD IS STILL GOD! LET HIM HELP YOU! Ask for HIS Help!  He's greater than any enemy that comes against you. He's stronger than any force of evil that seeks to devour you.   GOD IS GREATER!!!  Now, of course HE doesn't always answer on our timetable. But—HE does answer.   So, stay prayerful, be patient and WAIT on the LORD. Rejoice in knowing that GOD loves you and He wants to help.    All we have to do is cooperate with HIS plans and HIS timing.   Beloved, seek GOD more, ask for HIS help and receive the supernatural help that only HE provides. And as you let JESUS in, you will see God help you—HIS WAY!   Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,  We come to You in the Name of Jesus, blessing Your Holy Name! Thank You Father God for every blessing and every favor from Your Hand.   Thank You for loving us so much that You sent Your Son Jesus to die on the Cross for our sins and was resurrected unto new life.  Thank You that we get the privilege of being Your children in Christ Jesus because of the sacrifice Jesus made on the Cross. Thank You that we matter to You!  Lord God, we thank You that You care about what concerns us. You are with us as we walk through the darkest valley. We don't have to be afraid, for you are close beside us.  Thank You for Your protection, strength, and comfort when we need it. You are a good, good, FATHER and we love YOU!  Father, fill every believer with the JOY OF THE LORD which is our strength.  Thank You that by the Blood of JESUS we are YOURS, in Jesus Name. THE PROMISE: Christ Makes All Things New – S4 E10

In the past couple of years since the COVID-19 pandemic, people are dealing with the effects of great loss. Not only the loss of a loved one but some even lost their financial security. In fact, most of us around the world are working to 'rise from the ashes,' so to speak.  But that my friends, has been much easier for some than others. That is to say, for the others, it has been extremely difficult. Because depression and hopelessness have taken over their lives. Oh, but there is peace and hope that is readily available for all who will receive it. Hence, this podcast episode -- THE PROMISE: Christ Makes All Things New.  2 Corinthians 1:20 New Living Translation says,  20 “For all of God's promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory.”  Depend on God: Christ makes all things new   Like many of you, I too lost a family member to COVID-19 and it shook me to my core. I also understand how it feels when life in general, throws you a bunch of curve balls. Of course, if I'm being transparent, I got mad at God. Why? Because I didn't understand why He allowed those 'curve balls.' Well, because I am a Christian, I believe what the Holy Bible has to say about troubles.  Psalm 34:19 New Living Translation says,  “The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.”  For that reason, I choose to trust and depend on God, even when I'm mad about those circumstances. In the grand scheme of things, the problems we face in life, pale in comparison to a glorious eternity with Christ.  Trust God's Word: Christ makes all things new  If you have read this far, you may be thinking, "That's all good for you but, how do I know if the Bible is true?" Well, the most important place to start is with the life of Jesus Christ. As a whole, the Bible indeed points to Him. If everything the Bible says about Him is false then it also would be false. And Christianity would hinge on a lie.  But let me tell you emphatically, the Holy Bible is the truth. Because Jesus was born, lived, crucified, rose from the dead, and ascended to the right hand of the father.  Simply put, there are ancient non-biblical, non-Christian, and unfriendly texts that affirm Him.   In the final analysis, since what the Bible says about Jesus is true — as far as I am concerned, the entire Bible is true.  .embed-container { position: relative; padding-bottom: 56.25%; height: 0; overflow: hidden; max-width: 100%; } .embed-container iframe, .embed-container object, .embed-container embed { position: absolute; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%; height: 100%; } Life, Death, and Eternity: Christ makes all things new  Now, whether you choose to believe the Bible or not, there is life after death. With that in mind, you choose where you spend it by the choice you make in life. You either receive Jesus or you don't. Moreover, only those who receive Him will spend eternity with Him.  As I mentioned above, life in general, throws us curve balls and that unfortunately is the way it is. But Jesus has promised to make all things new.   Thus when Isaiah 43:18-19 New Living Translation says,  18“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. 19 For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland,” I believe Jesus.  And when Revelation 21:5 New Living Translation says,   5 “And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true,” I believe Jesus.  So, if you don't experience it in life, you will, with Him, in eternity.  Conclusion  Of course, if you want to know more, then this podcast episode is for you. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Roman 5:8-11 Amplified Bible Classic Edition says:  “But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.  Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ's blood, how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.  For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin's dominion) through His [resurrection] life.  Not only so, but we also rejoice and exultingly glory in God [in His love and perfection] through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom we have now received and enjoy [our] reconciliation.”  Roman 5:8-11 Amplified Bible Classic Edition  Devotional  Sometimes in life, we question God when things don't turn out the way we planned. And, we can't see how anything good can come out of a bad situation. Then we sit and wonder if God loves us.   We doubt, we make mistakes, and wonder again and again—Does God love me?   Truth be told, God has already shown us that our lives matter to HIM and HE loves us! As a matter of fact, not only does God love us but wants a relationship with us.  The scripture foretells of the greatest LOVE that came through JESUS, the Son of God, by HIS grace.  You see, Jesus' death on the Cross, HIS burial in the tomb, and HIS resurrection revealed the LOVE of God for us.   It didn't matter what mistakes we would make. Nor did it matter who we were. Jesus went on the Cross for EVERY human life. He was willing to suffer greatly to bring us closer to God.  Actually, it was an act of sacrificial love by the shedding of Christ's Blood for all that would believe. Believers would be justified by grace (which is the unmerited mercy and love of God).  LOVE came down to a perishing world and brought deliverance. God's LOVE, which is grace, came through Jesus.   Notably, God's plan didn't seem like a VICTORY in the eyes of the world; but, HIS plan of Salvation was necessary. For all that would believe were justified by Jesus on the Cross. It had nothing to do with how good we are BUT how good GOD is!!!  Think about what Jesus accomplished. God wanted a relationship with us. And that relationship came through Jesus. Most important—JESUS IS the ONLY WAY to God!   It puts things into perspective when we start to wonder if God really loves us. He has proven that already by sending Jesus!  God's LOVE is the greatest love of all. No one else would have sacrificed so much for us. God values us that much!  So much so, that HE took the time to make plans for our lives. The Word of God tells us in Jeremiah 29:11;   “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome (AMPC).”  So, when GOD made the plan of Salvation to send HIS Son Jesus to die for you and I—It was a revealing of how much He loves us. HIS LOVE/ HIS Grace through Jesus Christ justified ALL that would BELIEVE in JESUS!  Ephesians 2:8 Amplified says,   “For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God;”  Through Jesus, salvation is the greatest gift of LOVE. God has bestowed this free gift upon all that will receive HIS Son.   So Beloved, I know life for us can be hard at times. BUT— God IS still thinking about you and what concerns you!  God knows the number of hairs on your head Luke 12:7, New Living Translation.   Clearly,

Thus, a thorn is something that wounds, annoys, or causes discomfort.  What is your thorn?  Now, according to the definition given above, what is your thorn? Do you have a chronic physical illness? Do you suffer from mental illness? Do you suffer from addiction? Are you working a job you need but hate with a passion? Do you have a loved one whose always in some type of trouble? I could go on and on but you get the picture. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG) says:  “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you'll learn to live freely and lightly.”   Matthew 11:28-30 (MSG)  Devotional  Are you loaded down with heavy burdens that tip the scale to –MUCH too MUCH?  Do you feel as if you are carrying the weight of the world? One final question—Do you know Jesus as LORD and Savior?  In the book of Matthew chapter 11, Jesus makes a call to all those overburdened. He calls to those working hard to meet a goal that's unattainable by the works of one's hands.  HE makes a call to those that are carrying heavy anxieties that eat away at one's peace and steals their joy.   HE makes a call to those that think they can come up with a bailout plan, yet have no clue where to start.  Jesus makes a call to ALL those in need of a SAVIOR.  Jesus is saying; Come to Me, and I will give you rest.   The message is clear in what Jesus is relaying. Stop going your own way and let ME lead you. Stop carrying the weight of confusion and let ME teach you things you do not know.  The load would be much lighter, if you'd stop trying to carry a load that was never meant for you to bear.  You see, we are meant to carry some things, but not EVERYTHING. The only ONE that came to bear the heavy weight of the world—is JESUS.   Jesus gives REST for the Weary! Jesus came to rescue those in need of a SAVIOR.  Jesus supplies what we need! He established righteousness from the Cross by becoming the SAVIOR of the world. He took away the sins of the world by paying the ransom for sin.  He took away sin's chains of enslavement—guilt and shame. He  took away the burden of trying to achieve perfection when HE was and IS the only PERFECT ONE!  Jesus did what no one else could do which was BE the Savior of the world. This is the gospel call to whoever will come to Jesus and receive of HIM by believing—LET HIM COME!  Receive Christ's gift of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus. Submit to HIS authority and learn from HIM. Build a relationship with Jesus that never ends.  Through the power of grace, the grace of God, which is God's infinite love, salvation came to man. And God's saving grace was available to help in times of need for those that depend on HIM.  In 2 Corinthians 12:9 (GNT), the Word of God says, “My grace is all you need, for my power is greatest when you are weak.” Beloved, don't carry those heavy burdens—come to Jesus, (WHO is the PERSON of grace).  Let HIM lead you daily, TO and THROUGH the plan of God for your life.   The LORD says in Jeremiah 29:11 (GNT); “I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.”  Beloved, it's time...it's time to depend on JESUS! Draw from the ONE who is the LIGHT in the midst of dark times. HE provides Rest for the Weary!  Remember, God loves you and HIS grace keeps on saving through HIS Son—JESUS CHRIST!   Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,   We come to YOU in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Father God, we thank YOU for YOUR goodness in our lives. We thank YOU that we can always depend on YOU.  Father God, I lift up every believer in Christ, that our dependency will always be upon YOU. And, I pray that every heart of the believer is eagerly awaiting the return of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST!  Father God, as we go about life from day to day, help us to remember that YOU made the blueprint for our lives. Help us to know that there is not a day that we should allow ourselves to begin without YOU.  Instead, help us to trust in the LORD with all our heart and not lea...

The person of Jesus Christ of Nazareth  The Person and Work of CHRIST -- well that has been the topic of many debates. Such as, who He is and His purpose for coming into the world. First, let's look at an example from the Holy Bible of who people said Jesus was when He was here in His physical body.   In Matthew 16:13-17 English Standard Version it says,  “13 Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” 14 And they said, “Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”  15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”  17 And Jesus answered him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.”  As we can see, people had different answers. And the same is true even today.  The work of Jesus Christ of Nazareth  Now, when we talk about the work of Christ Jesus, John said it as follows:   John 1:14-17 English Standard Version says,   “14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.  15 (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.'”)  16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.”  Of course, Jesus Himself told us who He is and why He came. Matthew 5:17 English Standard Version says,  “17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.”  Luke 19:10 English Standard Version says,   “10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”  Even though the Bible is very clear on the person and work of Christ; many religions have their own incorrect views of Him.  Conclusion  So, if you want to know more, then this podcast episode is for you. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT) says:  So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.   Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT)  Devotional  As believers in Jesus, we face daily challenges and testing that come like clockwork. We want life to be a cakewalk, but instead, it's filled with temptations that reveal our weak areas.   But our weaknesses don't define who we are in Christ, because Jesus has given us a new identity in Him. Jesus made us righteous when we chose to have faith in Him for our righteousness.  So, when we mess up and miss the mark, we can go to the throne of grace in prayer to receive mercy. The grace of God awaits our need to make a withdrawal from heaven.  So much so, God expects us to come to HIM when we need help.   He has provided Grace for a Lifetime!  It is a privilege to approach the throne of grace to receive favor with confidence and without fear. Our failures should no longer separate us from God, but draw us closer to HIM. That's SAVING grace!  And, when you believe that God loves you, you know that everything that concerns you—CONCERNS HIM. So, when you struggle with sin, you no longer have to fight against it alone. You now have a Savior living within your heart who is close and merciful.  Jesus is able to sympathize with what tempts us and our weaknesses. He too understands how it feels to be human. Only—Jesus never sinned!  Beloved, don't get caught up on your failures—get caught up to the throne of grace in HIS presence. God loves you! You can receive mercy and grace at the right moment.  Jesus made it possible to receive GRACE FOR A LIFETIME. And, I pray that every heart of the believer is eagerly awaiting the return of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS!  Father God, as we wait for Jesus, YOU know that we face temptations and trials, which reveal where we are weak. Help us to come to you immediately in prayer for help.   Holy Spirit, remind us that there is mercy and grace waiting at the throne of grace for us to lean on and rely on for help in the time we need it.   Thank you, Father God, that YOUR WORD tells us that as people sinned more and more, YOUR wonderful grace became more abundant—Lord God, help us to desire more to do what is pleasing unto YOU, and deny our flesh of those things that are not.   And, LORD, YOUR WORD tells us that we can do everything through Christ, who gives us strength. YOU O'LORD are our strength.  Help us to draw our strength from YOU in times of weakness, in Jesus' GREAT name. Amen, Amen, Amen.   Grace and Peace to you all! Grace, grace, grace -- when you hear that word, what is the first thing that comes to mind? Well, the grace I am speaking of is the grace of God. But, why is His 'grace' of the utmost importance? Better yet, why should it matter to me? That my friend is an excellent question. Hence, this podcast episode, titled This is GRACE.  So, before we go any further, take a moment to look back over your life. Mainly, think about the mistakes you made, whether intentional or unintentional. No doubt, some mistakes were small, whereas others were doozies. But God had grace for it all. Moreover, His grace is available even now.  2 Corinthians 12:9 English Standard Version says,  “But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”  Now, just in case, you are someone who is thinking, "I've never made a mistake because I don't make mistakes." Then let me stop you right there. Why? Because there was only one perfect person who lived this life perfectly. And that was Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMP) says:  For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. And this [salvation] is not of yourselves [not through your own effort], but it is the [undeserved, gracious] gift of God; not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].  Ephesians 2:8-9 (AMP)  Devotional  For God so loved the world that HE gave HIS only Son, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16, ESV)  That is such a powerful statement of God's nature.   And to think—HE who is LOVE demonstrated HIS love through the greatest sacrifice of all time. HIS love is revealed through HIS Son on the Cross displaying—goodness, mercy, grace, and truth.   Nothing would stand in the way of redeeming humanity. The Heavenly Father did what was necessary to provide for the ones HE dearly loves.  You see...when God created the heavens and the earth, He also created the first man Adam, and the first woman Eve. God gave them everything they needed from the start of it all.   God provided what was necessary for the ones HE loved.  Yet, they were convinced by the serpent/Satan, that God hadn't given them enough. That was the first time Adam and Eve had ever sinned by an act of unbelief, which was disobedience. This proved to be deadly for all humanity.   Imagine if a trial had of taken place at that moment in a heavenly court. Both Adam and Eve would have been found guilty--in the eternal degree.  But this is the GOOD NEWS! God had provided a plan of GRACE that would save humanity from a horrific eternal sentence.  Instead of seeking vengeance for the sins of the world, God sought to show HIS most INFINITE LOVE. God introduced the world to GRACE-- the unmerited, abounding provision of the unrestrained operation of God's infinite love through Jesus Christ; on behalf of man, especially those who depend on HIM (Creflo Dollar, WCCI).  God came down to our level, wrapped HIMSELF in human flesh by being born into a physical body through Mary. And at the moment Jesus was born, HE became the SAVIOR of the world.   Romans chapter 5 and verses 18-19 (NLT), says “Yes, Adam's one sin brings condemnation for everyone, BUT Christ's one act of righteousness brings a right relationship with God and new life for everyone. Because one person disobeyed God, many became sinners. But, because ONE other person obeyed God, many will be made righteous.”  JESUS came to pardon humanity from a guilty sentence because of sin. He declares us NOT GUILTY by reason of HIS atoning sacrifice on the CROSS for the sins of the world.  Thus, for all who would BELIEVE in JESUS by faith, would receive forgiveness of sins for eternity.   Now that's the Good News!  Beloved, our performance doesn't stand before God—our faith in Jesus does. Jesus alone makes all things new—even you! Depend on the Grace of God as we partake of the blessings of THE GOOD NEWS!   For by grace, you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast! (Ephesians 2:8-9, ESV)   God's gift of salvation for all who would believe.   THAT'S THE GOOD NEWS!  Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,   We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Father God, we thank YOU for YOUR goodness in our lives. We thank YOU that we can always depend on YOU.  Father God, I lift up every believer in Christ, that their dependency will always be upon YOU. I pray that every heart of the believer is eagerly awaiting the return of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS!  Father God, I lift up every person on this earth that does not know Jesus as the SAVIOR of the world.

To begin with, I have a question for you to ponder. When was the last time you turned down an invitation? No matter what it was -- you chose not to attend or accept it. I'm pretty sure, the answer to that question is a resounding yes. And how do I know that to be true? Because I have done so myself. Now, the invitation I'm talking about -- if accepted, guarantees eternal life.  You are invited  It is possible, that you have never thought about where you will spend eternity. Or you don't believe in life after death. Well, I must ask you this question if you are of the latter group. Are you willing to gamble with your eternity? Either way, if you are still reading this blog post, don't let this moment pass you by. If you are willing to accept it -- Jesus of Nazareth has extended the invitation for eternal life to you.  The invitation brings His rest  Earlier I asked if you have given any thought to the question of life after death. No doubt, there are those of you who have thought about it but the thought may even scare you. Heck, for that matter, life itself can sometimes be scary and or difficult. But, that my friends, is the beauty of the invitation Christ is offering.  Matthew 11:28 New International Version says,  “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”  You see when you accept Christ's invitation, He will give you, His rest. Furthermore, there is also a peace that comes along with His rest.  Peace brings comfort  Indeed, peace will bring comfort in knowing that no matter what happens in life--God will direct your path. Plus, you no longer have to be afraid of life after death. Why? Because when you accept Christ's invitation you will be with Him. In other words, when you die, you will immediately go into the presence of the Lord--praise God. And that is good news.  Conclusion  So, have you considered where you will spend eternity? Today's trouble is enough for today.”  Matthew 6:33-34 (NLT)  Devotional  Have you ever gotten so caught up in what you wanted that you forgot what you needed? Our minds can get so crowded with wants and worries that we tend to focus on what is meaningless compared to God.  As a result, we stress out. We focus on career goals, marriage goals, life goals, and yet forget to consult the Creator of all things.   Of course, it's nothing wrong with having life goals. But the greatest goal in life first should be to SEEK GOD!   First things first!  It is most important and necessary for life to SEEK GOD, SEEK HIS KINGDOM, and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS.   To sum it up—GOD FIRST and everything else comes second. We must give God first place in our lives and live the way He wants us to live (TLB).  First things first!  You may ask, “Why is that so important?” Well, the answer is simple; God created you and has a plan for your life that is good! HE knows what you need and when you need it.   When depending on GOD and living the way HE purposed your life to be, all the necessary things will be added to you.  Furthermore, the Word of God says in Romans 8:14 NLT; “For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.”  Beloved, if you believe in Jesus Christ—you belong to the family of God and you are God's child. And, if you seek God first and are led by HIM, you can cast away every anxiety about what's ahead.  Thus, you can take comfort in knowing that as you depend on GOD, HE is in your tomorrow and everything will be alright.    So, find out what HE wants you to do, and live with this in mind—God First!  First things first!  Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,   We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Hence, this episode -- STRONG in the LORD: A Fight to the Finish.  Trouble won't last always  As I mentioned above, no one is exempt from problems. In fact, Jesus of Nazareth informed us of it. So, let's look at it in the Bible. John 16:33 New International Version says, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! Hence, as a Christ-follower, I am confident that I can draw from His strength in times of weakness. I ask You to forgive me. I want to follow You Jesus. Come into my heart, into my life, and be my Lord and Savior.

Lady V's Devotional Episode  Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT) says:  The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help. He rescues them from all their troubles. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.  Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT)   Devotional   I'm a mother. And ever since my daughter was a baby, I had my ears tuned to hear her cry. And, although she is an adult now, I'm still concerned about her well-being.   So much so, I'll come running when she needs me! I want to know when something troubles her! I want to rescue her from any hurts or disappointments. I love her that much!  No doubt, love makes you want to rescue the ones you love!  So, when we read Psalm 34:17-19 (NLT), we are reminded of the Heavenly Father's love for us. The Heavenly Father tunes in to HIS children too. He's not a distant God. He is close enough to hear our cries!   Yet, there are times when things are going bad, we forget that He hears us. We forget that we matter to God. But we must not forget that the Lord's love is infinite towards us. He has concerns about everything that troubles us.   God is close!  The Word of God says in Proverbs 18:24 (AMP), that He's a true, loving friend who is reliable and sticks closer than a brother. So, not only is He your Heavenly Father, He's also a reliable friend. He's closer than you think.  Thus, He's the ONE you want to share your heart with. He's the ONE you call when you face trouble.  He's the ONE that comes to your rescue. And, He's the ONE who deserves our total devotion.  Beloved, don't go through troubles thinking that you are alone. When you feel like you're about to be swallowed up with trouble-- Remind yourself of Psalm 34. Then call out to the LORD. Ask for help! Then expect the LORD to come to your rescue.  Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,  We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. Father God, we thank YOU that we can always depend on YOU. You will not neglect us nor will you ignore our cries for help.   We cast every care, every anxiety on YOU, because YOU care for us.   Thank YOU that YOU are our helper and we do not have to fear.   Thank YOU that we don't have to be anxious about anything. When we pray, YOU hear us and YOUR Peace guards our hearts and our minds in Christ Jesus.   We can come boldly to the throne of grace and receive mercy and grace to help in the time of need.    For this, we thank YOU LORD! We receive it done, and give YOU all the glory, in the Name of Jesus. Amen!  Grace and Peace to you all! In general, most people understand that life consists of ebbs and flows. We all have or will experience ups and downs, easy times as well as tough times. Sadly, for some individuals, the hard times overwhelm and overtake them. In other words, they only see suicide as the solution to their troubles. But oh, my friends, there is a better way -- trusting God. In my experience, trusting Him took me from weeping to joy.  Of course, I must show you what the Holy Bible says about the matter in the following scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6 English Standard Version says, “5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. 6 In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”  I've said this before, receiving Jesus of Nazareth as Savior and Lord is the best decision one could make. And when you receive Him and trust Him, it guarantees that you will receive God's absolute best for your life. The key though is trusting His directions.   Get to know Him   You see, God wants us to always trust and depend on Him. In full transparency, when I took things into my own hands, I fell flat on my face. And I wasn't trying to be arrogant as many others who don't think they need God.  Actually, I didn't want to burden God with what I thought was a small matter. Simply put, I thought, "Why worry God, I got this.” Wrong. I didn't have it.   That is to say, I found out the hard way that, I need God's Holy Spirit to direct me in every area of my life. But that, my dear friends, is my experience; it's time that you get to know the Lord for yourself.  Conclusion  So, if you or someone you know is struggling through the tough times of life, then this podcast episode is for you.  Go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post. Remember what the Holy One has done, and give him thanks!  His anger lasts only a moment, his goodness for a lifetime. Tears may flow in the night, but joy comes in the morning.   Psalm 30:4-5 (GNT)  Devotional  When we read about David, we find that although he suffered through many trials, God favored him a whole lot. David had so many victories in his life. In fact, you would have thought he was a star athlete always at the top of his game.   But, like us, David had some issues and wasn't without fault. So much so, David suffered a great deal because of it. His list of sins was long. He had many moments of a lapse in judgment.   Yet, God was merciful to him. And yes, God's grace and favor was right there to save him.   Through the trials, he'd come to himself and remember his need for God. David would praise God like he was preparing for the next victory! He believed God would turn his mourning into dancing.  To sum it up; God loved him so much that God's goodness would show up and turn each situation around. And guess what? God loves you too!  Because of this, as believers in Christ, we too have God's favor on our lives. Actually, because of Jesus, we have something better.   We not only have God's grace and favor we have the gift of grace on the inside. It's not a grace that shows up every now and then—NO of course not! We have the person of grace ever-present on the inside of us-- HIS Holy Spirit.   He can turn your mourning into dancing!  Beloved, I know how it feels to weep, hoping that the night season of sorrow would finally come to an end. I know about the night seasons of hurt and disappointment, sickness and loss.   It can feel like you are ready for that page to turn and your story finally read—He turned my mourning into dancing. Of course, Weeping may last through the night, but joy does come with the morning.  So, let me encourage you with this; IN THE NAME OF JESUS the morning has come! Every night season has to surrender to the LIGHT of God's Presence. So, REJOICE IN THE LORD!!!  This is a breaking of day because the LIGHT of Christ is upon you! The world will see HIS glory upon HIS children and the LIGHT will be undeniable.  Receive it today, in the Name of Jesus!  Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,  We come to you in the Name of Jesus with thanksgiving in our hearts. We thank YOU that YOUR lovingkindness is better than life! Thank YOU that YOU are good and your loving devotion endures forever. Thank YOU that YOUR great compassion towards us will not end.  And although we may have times where we sow in tears, YOUR word promises that we will reap with shouts of joy.   YOUR love has comforted us and YOUR strength has helped us to persevere through the times of weeping and waiting.   So, today, we give you the highest praise. Hallelujah! We rejoice that YOU turn our mourning into dancing!  Lord God, at this moment, I declare and decree over YOUR children that JOY has arrived and the LIGHT has come, in Jesus Name, IT IS SO!!!   Grace and Peace to you all! I don't know about you, but there have been times in my life when I felt helpless in certain situations. No doubt, most people have experienced that feeling of helplessness.  In all likelihood, someone is feeling it this very moment. Hence, this episode title -- Hold on: Help is on the Way. So, are you or someone you know feeling an overwhelming sense of helplessness?  If the answer to the above question is yes, my next question to you is, have you prayed about it? Whether your answer is yes or no, I urge you to take a moment and think about exactly, what it is you need. And then, talk to God about it.  What do you need?  Without a doubt, God wants to help you. In fact, He already has provisions available, no matter the need. And a relationship with Jesus of Nazareth guarantees His help.  I love how Philippians 4:19 The Voice Translation puts it, “Know this: my God will also fill every need you have according to His glorious riches in Jesus the Anointed, our Liberating King.”  You see, all we have to do is ask and then trust Him.  Be specific   Now you maybe someone who has prayed and you still feel helpless. Well, if I may offer a suggestion when you pray -- be specific. I love the following example in the Holy Bible about a man who needed help.  Luke 18:38-42 New Living Translation says,   “38 So he began shouting, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” 39 “Be quiet!” the people in front yelled at him. But he only shouted louder, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”  40 When Jesus heard him, he stopped and ordered that the man be brought to him. As the man came near, Jesus asked him, 41 “What do you want me to do for you?” “Lord,” he said, “I want to see!”  42 And Jesus said, “All right, receive your sight! Your faith has healed you.””  Indeed, from the previous scripture, we can see that Jesus directed the blind man to be specific. And when he did, he received what he needed, which was his sight.  Conclusion  So, if you or someone you know is feeling an overwhelming sense of helplessness then this podcast episode is for you.  Go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post. He's the kind of Father, that wants the ultimate best for HIS children. HIS grace keeps on saving us!  So much so, God wants us to stay close to HIM. He sees the trap ahead. And like a good Father; He's with us when trouble comes. He promised to rescue us.  HIS Help never ceases!  He's always listening for our call because He loves us. Besides, He made a promise to protect us. His wings are as a shield of armor in place around us, to keep us safe from evil threats against us.   God even has a “secret service” of angels that's positioned all around us.  The darkness cannot stand up against His power.  HIS help never ceases!   Beloved, abide in God's Presence daily. Letting Go – S4 Ep2

In general, most people would agree that it is good to take an inventory of one's life. Why? Because it is during that time one reflects on who or what they need to purge from their lives. For the most part, that means breaking the chains that have been holding you back from living your best life. How? By letting go.  Thus, I liken it to a spring cleaning of sorts. Of course, no one likes spring cleaning, but it is always necessary. Provided that, it is during that time that we often come across things that we should and need to be letting go of.  Letting go can be difficult  So, who or what are you holding on to, that you know in your heart, you need to be actively letting go of? Is it a toxic relationship, a job that you hate, illegal/immoral activity, bad eating habits, negative emotions, etcetera? You fill in the blank as it pertains to you.  You may be thinking, "But SD, letting go is hard." And you are absolutely right. Indeed, nobody said letting go would be easy.  No doubt, it is hard walking away from a toxic relationship when you love that person. Next, it is hard to leave a job/career you hate or you're not proud of, when you need the money.  And I think we all would agree that it is hard giving up things we enjoy that are bad for our health. No matter what “it” is -- letting go is in your best interest.  Let Go and Let God  Know this, when you allow God to direct your path, He will lead you to His best. Simply stated, Proverbs 3:6 New Living Translation says, “Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” For that reason alone, letting go is for your own good – an absolute must.  In other words, you could never get anything better than God's best in every area of your life. So, let go and seek His directions.  Conclusion  In closing, if you are ready to live the life God has for you then this podcast episode is for you.  Go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post. And since God freely offered him up as the sacrifice for us all, he certainly won't withhold from us anything else he has to give.  Romans 8:32 (TPT)  Devotional  A father's love is such a treasured gift to any child. And the Heavenly Father, gave us HIS greatest treasure in the gift of His Son.   God's love poured out upon humanity through the greatest sacrifice ever known on the Cross. When Jesus died on the Cross for the sins of the world, God's love was proven.   God loves us more than we can fathom and we should never doubt that. Instead, let's acknowledge that the sacrifice of HIS Son wasn't an easy one—but it was necessary to save humanity.  I cannot imagine the agony that Jesus endured for our sins. And as a parent; what must that have been like for the Heavenly Father?   Even though Jesus is fully God and fully human, He still allowed Himself to suffer greatly for our sakes. But—isn't that what love is? Love is patient and kind. Love always protects, love always perseveres.  Love never stops loving!  So why do we have such a hard time believing and receiving that God loves us so much?  Beloved, it's time to face the TRUTH about our Heavenly Father—GOD. God loves us, HE is for us, and HE has so much more prepared for us.   So, as we stay in a posture of thanksgiving and RECEIVE the goodness of God—the world will be a witness to HIS love.  Let's pray...  Heavenly Father,  I come to you in the name of Jesus, and I thank YOU for all who were led to receive this message of YOUR great love for them.   Father God, I ask that as YOU manifest YOUR goodness in each person's life, I ask for the release of every good and perfect gift.  I ask that they continue to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living as YOU perfect that which concerns them.   Release the exceeding abundance above all we could ever ask for or even think about in this season of YOUR goodness.   And I ask all these things in Jesus' name that it will be done according to YOUR Word in, John 14:14, where Jesus said, to ask in HIS name and HE will do it.  So, I declare it done in Jesus' Great Name! Happy New Year and Welcome to Season 4 Episode 1 of We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast  In the past two years since the pandemic, many around the world have experienced great losses. Also, with those losses came hardships in different forms. Although, some people have bounced back; there are others who have not been as fortunate. Now, in my experience, when I trust God--everything always works out. Why? Because HE is with us –HE Still Provides. And, how do I know that to be true?  The Bible tells us so  First, the Holy Bible tells us that God is with us. For instance, Psalm 23:4 New Living Translation says,  “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me.”  Second, He rewards those who seek Him. Hebrews 11:6 The Passion Translation says,  “And without faith living within us it would be impossible to please God. For we come to God in faith knowing that he is real and that he rewards the faith of those who passionately seek him.”  Third, He is a provider. Philippians 4:19 New International Version says, “And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.”  Lastly, as I said above, I know from personal experience that because He is with us—He still provides.  Conclusion  In closing, if you or someone you know is struggling directly or indirectly because of the pandemic, then this podcast episode is for you.  Go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Ephesians 3:20-21 (AMP) says;  20 Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,  21 To Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations forever and ever. Amen.   Ephesians 3:20-21 (AMP)  Devotional   In Christ, we have the advantage over the rest of the world. We serve a God that has unlimited resources and power. We serve the God of the OVERFLOW.   LIVING in the OVERFLOW has everything to do with being IN CHRIST.  IN CHRIST—there is no lack!  Often times, life doesn't quite look like we are the head and not the tail, above only and not beneath—but it's true. God's Word declares that we are set apart. We are seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus our LORD. WE are HIS heirs because we are joint heirs with Christ.   And because of Jesus, we are now heirs of ALL the promises of God. IMAGINE for one moment that you could see the heavenly warehouse which contains everything that God has—JUST FOR YOU! And it all waits to be released at just the right time and just the right season of your life.  Beloved, Ephesians 3:20 reminds us that “God is able to do far more than we could ever ask for or imagine.” So, we need to ask BIG! Stop limiting God by our human limitations!   We belong to Jesus. We are in the family of the great I AM! Jesus gave us the right to ask. In John 14:14, Jesus said “You may ask me for anything in my name. I will do it.”   Ok now, let's clarify that statement. You may ask Jesus for anything IN THE WORD. Remember, Jesus has many names that refers to HIM. He is—THE WORD OF GOD.   So, when we ask, we should expect God's goodness to show up.  Now, start LIVING in the OVERFLOW by remembering who you are.  YOU ARE IN CHRIST JESUS! Your identity is a child of the MOST HIGH GOD. “He does everything by his power that is working in us.”   In other words, our faith in the SON of God, carries the power that manifests the overflow.  His HOLY SPIRIT is in us thus HIS POWER is working in us!  So, don't let ANYONE deceive you into forgetting who you are. And don't talk yourself out of receiving ALL that God has for you! He's the God of the OVERFLOW!  Beloved, I declare and decree that you are LIVING in the OVERFLOW NOW!!!  Receive God's goodness now! And give HIM ALL the glory, the honor and the praise! In Jesus great name! Amen.  Grace and Peace to you all! And remember that JESUS IS LORD!!!  Lady V  Bible Study Resources  Holy Bible [NKJV, NLT, Amplified, TPT, MEV, ESV] Get the Bible App by YouVersion NLT Chronological Life Application Study Bible  More devotionals you may like   In HIS Presence – S3-DE17  Heart of Compassion – S3-DE16  New Things to Come – S2-DE20  Listen to We R S.H.E.Talks Podcast with SD and Lady V  Use web player above blog post to listen or subscribe and listen via your favorite podcast platform. HIM: The Importance of God's Presence – S3E17

Play Episode Listen Later Oct 26, 2021 40:40

In full transparency, there have been times when situations and circumstances overwhelmed me. I found myself trying to figure out the solution to each problem in and of myself. And therein lies the mistake. Because  1 Peter 5:7 New Living Translation says, “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” Thus, when I do what 1 Peter 5:7 has instructed -- God leads and guides me. In fact, that is why His presence is so important. Hence, this podcast episode, HIM: The Importance of God's Presence.  Be mindful of God's presence  There are many examples in the Holy Bible of the importance of being mindful of God's presence. For instance, have you heard about how the disciple Peter walked on the water? We all know that is not humanly possible. On the contrary, that was not the case for Peter in the following scriptural text.  Matthew 14:25-29 New International Version says,  “25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It's a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear.  27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.” 28 “Lord, if it's you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus.”  No doubt, all things are possible when we stay focused on God's presence.  Stay Focused: The importance of God's presence  Now, from the previous text, we could picture Peter stepping out of the boat, then walking on the water to Jesus. But he allowed circumstances [wind and waves] to distract him.  Matthew 14:30-33 New International Version says,  “30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?”  32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.””  You see, Peter took his eyes off Jesus and the moment he did, he began to sink. But Jesus lifted him up and they walked on the water back to the boat. The moral of this text is that we should be mindful of God's presence in every area of our lives. Why? Because He cares--period. Thus, when we ask Him for help, He will lead and guide us in how to handle anything that comes our way.  Psalm 37:23-24 Amplified Bible says,  “23 The steps of a [good and righteous] man are directed and established by the Lord, And He delights in his way [and blesses his path]. 24 When he falls, he will not be hurled down, Because the Lord is the One who holds his hand and sustains him.”  No doubt, even when we make a mistake if we would turn towards Him, He will lift us out of any trouble without hesitation.   Conclusion  In closing, if you are wondering why it seems as if life won't give you a break. Lady V's Devotional Episode  Psalm 16:11 (AMP) Amplified Translation says;  11 You will show me the path of life;   In Your presence is fullness of joy;   In Your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.  Psalm 16:11 (AMP)   Devotional  Are you a planner? I am. In my human nature, I want to plan what's next. It's a defense mechanism for me so that I can feel a sense of control over my life. But I have learned that my plans aren't what God has planned for me.  You see, since the beginning of time—God had a plan for each one of us. And HIS plan involved HIM in everything that concerns us. HE wants to be an infinite part of our lives. Because HE knows what's best for us.  But, we often, think that we know more than God about what's best for us; only to find out later that we don't have a clue. We struggle from problem to problem, relationship to relationship, job to job, meat to vegetables; and yet haven't consulted God about any of it.  And believe me—communicating with God has greater benefits for better outcomes. In HIS Presence we find something that we lack when we avoid HIS input—JOY!  That JOY of being In HIS Presence comes from the assurance of knowing that HE supplies all we need. JOY comes when HE counsels us, and HE instructs us in matters of life.  In HIS Presence, our heart is glad because we can be confident that our lives are safely in HIS HANDS.   He will not abandon you are me! Praise God!  God wants to introduce Himself through Jesus. ALL will see that IN HIS PRESENCE there is a LOVE that no one else can give. There's a saving grace that's made available for all that will receive that's wrapped IN HIS PRESENCE.  God wants to direct our path—starting with opening our eyes to THE LIGHT—Jesus Christ!   And when we are no longer in the dark, we can finally see. God takes our hand and guides us along the right path. That right path leads us to eternal life through Jesus Christ.   That brings me great JOY!!!  So, when trouble comes, and it does for everyone, our focus should not stay on the trouble. We must focus on Jesus and stay—IN HIS PRESENCE.  And finally—  Beloved, the JOY comes when we remind ourselves that we are not alone—the LORD is with us. Staying in communication with God allows HIM to counsel us and impart wisdom.  We don't have to have all the answers. But we can find JOY in knowing that we have a Heavenly Father that knows ALL THINGS.  And in HIS PRESENCE, God will refresh your spirit, your mind and your plans. Trust HIM and receive ALL the benefits of HIS PRESENCE!  Let's Pray…  Heavenly Father,  We welcome YOU in the Name of Jesus!  We thank YOU for Your Presence with us, O God. Thank you for Jesus being our Lord and Savior. Thank you that we are—forgiven!   Thank you for the benefits of YOUR Presence.  Thank you for keeping us safe. Thank you that we can run to you, O God, no matter what we face. We thank you for wise counsel as you deposit wisdom in us. Thank you that we can lay down in safety and our sleep be sweet. We don't have to worry about what's next because YOU are in our tomorrow.   There's nobody like you God!!!  For you know our destination, and our path is laced with YOUR PRESENCE. Thank you for taking our hand and leading us along the way. In Jesus Name, Amen!  Have faith in Jesus! Rest in HIS PRESENCE!   Grace and Peace to you all! Lost and Found: The Compassion of Christ – S3E16

To begin with, the question on the table is, "Have you ever felt completely lost in life?" In other words, no matter how hard you tried you still couldn't seem to find your way. When you think about it – did anyone show you any compassion? Hence this podcast episode – Lost and Found: The Compassion of Christ.  In general, most people have experienced a sense of helplessness at some point, even if they don't admit it. No doubt, some of you may be feeling lost this very moment. To continue, others feel like they are a lost cause. But, I'm here to tell you – that is not true. In fact, you are valuable!  As we can see, Luke 12:7 Easy-to-Read Version says, “{Yes, God even knows how many hairs you have on your head. Don't be afraid. You are worth much more than many birds.”  Are you compassionate?  Broadly speaking, most people have a level of compassion towards others. Whereas others do not have a compassionate bone in their bodies. Have you ever been insensitive or coldhearted towards a person or group of people? If so, then there is a lack of compassion for that person or group of people.  Now Jesus of Nazareth, He had compassion like no other. In fact, He is the perfect example of what compassion looks like in practice. And we see several examples in Luke chapter 15. When He saw a need, He met the need. So, why is Jesus' compassion like no other?   A compassion like no other  No, I'm not leaving you hanging. The answer to the question of "Why is Jesus' compassion like no other?" Well, here it is in a nutshell. First, He saw people as valuable and He met their needs. Those who are lost are found in His presence.   Next and most important, He gave His life so that the world through Him would be saved. Of course, that in itself is why I said most people have a level of compassion. Because if we are being honest, not too many people would be willing to help people who are lost for whatever reason. Hence, they certainly wouldn't die for anyone.  They may say it because it sounds commendable. But if it came right down to it, they wouldn't actually do it. Again, that is why the compassion of Jesus is like no other.  Conclusion  In closing, go ahead and use the player at the top of this blog post.
