A Moment with the Colonel

The best way to bring people to the knowledge of Christ is by healing in the name of Jesus and Preaching Jesus as the Son of God.  Great miracles will happen to include the greatest miracle of salvation if we will  follow the opportunities presented to John and Peter in Acts Chapter 3.  They healed by their faith in Jesus and in the name of Jesus. People were amazed and the power of miracles prepared the hearts of many to believe the  testimony of Jesus as the Son of God and the way to God.  It is our responsibility as disciples of Christ to continue in helping people overcome their sinful life by the Blood of the Lamb and the testimony of Jesus.  We can do all things in the will of God by the Blood of the Lamb and the power of the testimony of Jesus.

Air date: 4.25.19 1 Kings 9:3  And the LORD said unto him, I have heard thy prayer and thy supplication, that thou hast made before me: I have hallowed this house, which thou hast built, to put my name there for ever; and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

Air date: 4.21.19 Acts Chapter 2 It was the manifestation of the Holy Ghost to the 120 in their place of worship that filled them.  They waited on the promise of God. God showed Himself by the manifestations of the senses of sight, sound and touch.  The message of God cannot be received without the manifestations of God by the Holy Spirit through His people.  It was God who manifested Himself by the Holy Ghost through His people that non-believers perceive God in the senses.  Peter's message of Joel Chapter 2 and the Jesus as the Son of God would have had no power unless God had been manifested to validate scriptures.  We must work through the Holy Ghost in the manifestation of God's Spirit and the testimony of Jesus so people are drawn to Him.  The manifestation God is incomplete without the Message of Jesus the Christ as the Son of God.  It is the Message or The Christ for which people believe and can come to God.

Air Date: 4.14.19 Acts Chapter 2 when Peter referred of Joel Chapter 2-28.  What was Peter really referring to in Joel?  Wasn't Joel referring to great manifestations of the power of God in the preparation of the Great and Terrible Day of the Lord known as the Coming of the Messiah, Christ, the Rapture, the Advent?  Being filled with the Holy Ghost as described by Joel in Chapter 2 is the preparation of the Great Day of the Lord.  We cannot be the remnant useless we are filled with the Holy Ghost to bring the return of Christ and the Great Day of the Lord.  The Lord needs His people to fulfill the Scripture of the Kingdom.  And God's people need the Holy Ghost to fulfill God's will.  

Many people take the position that the Last Days begin when either the False Prophet Appears or when Jesus returns.  The Last Days started at the Day of Attornment, 50 days after Pass Over. The Holy Ghost can only be received once one believes Jesus is the Son of God and receives the Holy Spirit unto Salvation.  When we are filled with the Holy Ghost we bond as a family of God.  Sharing and fellowshipping in gladness.  We desire to be with one another because of the fullness of God being in us.  We come into the presences of God with one another as we carry the presence of God.  It is up to each of us to be filled with the Holy Ghost so we carry God.  It is God who draws people to Him.  If God is with us, who can be against us?  This is why people want to linger with those who have the fullness of the God by Holy Ghost because people are drawn by God in us.

The Day of Pentecost is the day of Jubilee. Fifty days after the Passover, the followers of Jesus who believed Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God, were filled with the Holy Ghost with power and fire.  The Holy Ghost can only be received once someone believes Jesus is the Son of God and receives the Holy Spirit unto Salvation.  But ministry should not begin until one receives the Holy Ghost just as Jesus did after He was baptized in water. This signified the baptism of the Holy Ghost which brings the power.  Just as Jesus did not start His ministry until after He received the Holy Ghost from God, the disciples also waited for the baptism of the Holy Ghost to start their ministry.  Jesus had already breathed the Holy Spirit unto Salvation on them prior to the Day of Pentecost. 

For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee.

The book of Acts name comes from the Greek word praxis, a word often used in early Christianity to describe the great deeds of the apostles or other believers. The Book of Acts is a series of vignettes chronicling the lives of Peter and Paul in the beginning Christian generational era after the resurrection of Christ. Luke is believed to be the author of Acts because of how the Book of Acts easily picks up events after the gospel according to Luke left off.  The Book of Acts unfolds with Peter and ending with Paul. Luke even began to speak in the first person plural in the latter portion of Acts, as he traveled the Roman Empire alongside Paul (Acts 16:10). The Book of Acts ends with Paul in prisoned in Rome, waiting to bring his appeal before Caesar.  One historical observation in the early Christian church, Luke does not mention Paul's death (AD 64–68) nor the persecution of Christians that broke out under Nero (AD 64). It is believed Luke completed the book of Acts before either of these events occurred, sometime between AD 60 and AD 62, while Paul sat in prison, awaiting the resolution of his appeal. Acts is the only biblical book that chronicles the history of the church after the ascension of Jesus. Acts provides accounts of how the church was able to grow and spread from Jerusalem into the rest of the Roman Empire. In approximately 30 years the remnant that Jesus left to continue His work.  The remnant consisted of  frightened believers in Jerusalem who transformed into an empire-wide movement of people who had committed their lives to Jesus Christ. To the point of Paul on the verge of taking the gospel to the highest government official in the known world, the Emperor of Rome.

Jesus made His last appearance to the disciples before He put them to task.  It is the Father's perfect will we be saved.  But it is our work to believe in Jesus is the Son of God. If we believe we will be raised up in the last day.  The harvest is coming.  We are getting a harvest like never known since the resurrection of Jesus.  It will be like Peter dragging the nets into the boat and like dragging the net onto the shore.  Each time Jesus instructed to cast the nets, the harvest was so great that it was almost impossible to collect the harvest in the boat or drag the net to shore.  It will be formed in companies of 150.  Just as Jesus organized the feeding the multitude in groups of 50 men, this was only the number of men and not the wives and unmarried.  The harvest in the this story was 153 large fish.  It is the Shepherd to shepherd in a company so it is manageable. We are to follow the type an shadow of the government that Jesus gave us for the purpose of kingdom government.

The Passover Preparation has happened. The Sacrificial Lamb of God has been poured out over the people and nations so that they may be made pure. Who are made acceptable to approach the Father and have a relationship with Him.  Jesus is resurrected as promised by the Father and His empty tomb is discovered by this followers.  The first follower to discover Jesus was not in the tomb was a women who loved the Messiah.  The disciples are notified that Jesus is not in his tomb.  The rush to see for themselves.  As the day and week passes, many people begin to have encounters with Jesus. He spends time with them as He appears and disappears.  During this time, Jesus did many more miracle that are not recorded.  His followers believe His words and promises and grow stronger in faith.  They begin to understand and their faith builds upon the Word of God.

The Passover Preparation is started.  The Lamb of God is handed over to the High Priest for the atonement of the people. The High Priests don't see the Lamb of God but a man who they hate because He offer the Truth to the pathway to God and to the knowledge of God.  Jesus confounded their wisdom. Jesus was a stumbling block to their religion and way of life.  God's Heart, “Jesus” had to flow blood into the world for the world to have Life. It is the Lamb of God that had to provide the blood to give life.  It is the blood of the Lamb that enables God to come into us.  We must believe God sent the Lamb and it is the Lamb's blood that gives us salvation. We must believe in the Lamb of God that provides the life for us to live forever in Spirit with God.  The Lamb had to be prepared for slaughter for the Passover according to the calendar and the timing of God.  It was the High Priest who made the end. Jesus fulfilled the Law and put an end to the Law of Moses.

God wants His people or Children in His will.  Often times we try to help God out.  God does not need our help.  He does not need our opinion, our feelings, our money.  He want us to trust Him for everything.  The problem is we think we know what God wants.  The scripture says we prophecy in part.  When God reveals His will to us, He usually does not reveal all His will.  God does want us to know His heart and He shares it but we get too excited and try to bring what God wants.  It is important we wait on God's timing.  We are very blessed when God's timing happen because we know it can only be God.  This is why we don't know the return of Christ. We only know signs, events, and seasons.  If we knew the coming of Christ, we would mess it up.  Because the events of the Last Days will be on the timing of God of what He allows.  Let's stop swinging the war sword like Peter and let God's will take its course.

Jesus is the example that we are to follow in the last days.  Even though there is persecution in pockets of the world, we have not yet seen the Great Persecution or the Great Tribulation.  Jesus gave disciples specific instructions on what to do when they encounter persecution.  However, I don't think the disciples saw the persecution for which Jesus spoke about when describing the end-days.  Regardless, the 1st Century body of believers did experience persecution resulting in many Born Again Jews to flee into Syria, Turkey, Macedonia, and Europe.  When we study what Jesus went through at the time of betrayal and apprehension, we see a type and shadow of what end-day Saints will experience.  We should know what to do and how to do it in order to endure until the end. "Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man." Luke 21:36.

Jesus desired to be joined and be one with God just as His desire is for us to be joined as one with God.  Though out the ministry of Jesus, He validate His claim as  the Son of God and the gospel God was in Him by the signs and wonders He did so people would believe upon Him to have eternal life.  Jesus gave instructions to the disciple so they would understand and continue in their faith just as we are to continue in our faith. It is the will of the Father for us to continue living our lives by the Spirit rather than in the things of the Evil One. In the prayer of Jesus, it is His desire for us to have the same relationship with the Father as He had with the Father.  It is the prayer and desire of Jesus to show all who believes in Him as the Son of God that we see Him in the glory as the Son of God.

We live in a time when there appears to be many ways to spiritual life. In his letter to the Galatians, Paul presents spiritual life through a different lens than the world. Spiritual life does not come from people, the world or spiritual powers. The way to spiritual life is through the crucifixion of Christ. Would we reject Him?  Would we deny Him?  Understanding our relationship with Jesus is the understanding of our relationship with God the Father.  It is Jesus who laid down His life for His friends and the friends of the Father.  He laid down His life so the world could have a relationship with God.  If one is absent of love, one is absent from God.  God can only be in what is like Him because God is love.  God cannot be in the presences of a place where love is absent.  The absence of love is the presence of darkness.  Darkness is hate and hate is death.  Darkness is death and all who are in darkness cannot comprehend the Light.  The only way to comprehend light is by Jesus the Lamb of God who is the Door to the Kingdom of God.  Enter in the Love of God by the Door of Christ and learn what Love is, because God is Love. Jesus gave us the analogy of the vine.  When we believe Jesus is the Son of God we are joined to God by the Vine, Jesus Christ.  When we are graphed into the Vine, Jesus, we receive His blood or sap that allow our branches to grow and produce fruit.  When a vine begins to grow it dangles to the ground and needs to be hoisted up into the sunlight.  It is suspended and rests on the trellis or arbor so that it will produce fruit.  It will not produce good fruit if the branch is laying in the grass or on the ground.  If a branch of the vine is dead, it is cut off.  Every winter the vines are cut back.  The base of the vine grows thick and strong for holding larger branches and more fruit.  We are much like the branches of the vine.  God will hoist us up and secure us to the trellis, so we produce fruit.  He cuts and prunes us, so we can produce more fruit.  If we die, He will cast us away. We know someone believes Jesus is the Son of God because they understand the power of God's love working in and through them.  You will know when they believe in Jesus the Christ because the fruit of the Spirit will be manifested by their acts of love. When we love Jesus with all our ability we will be loved by God. Jesus will manifest Himself to and through us because we cannot love like Christ unless we love Him.  It is the power of God that empowers us to love others when it is humanly impossible to love.  Jesus' love works through us when we have no human ability to manifest God's love, and when we surrender our emotions and pain to Christ. Why don't people actually believe in Jesus? Jesus and the Father are One, as in One God.  We believe in Jesus so that our belief gives glory to God because God offered and gave Jesus as the sacrificial Lamb of God for the atonement and cleansing us from our sins so that we can live a life with no darkness of sin.  We believe in Christ, so we live a life upright in obedience in God.  When we believe in Jesus we are reborn and a new life in the Spirit is given to us.  When we are born again we flee from perceptions and acts of sin and wickedness that leads to death and torment.  If you have difficultly believing Jesus is the Son of God, believe in Him when we do miraculous works in His name.  Let the works of miracles in the Name of Jesus be proof that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus as God's Son did the will of his Father as God commanded. We must continue to share the gospel to let the world know that God loves them. We explain that God loves them so much that He sent is Son to be the Lamb of God for the taking away the sins of the world.  Jesus had to be obedient to God in order to fulfill God's purpose on the world.  Jesus could only follow through with such a task if He was of God and God.  It was God who Jesus trusted for His resurrection because He knew God is the resurrection power. When the Ruler of Darkness (aka the False Prophet) comes to this world people will believe Jesus is the Son of God because we told them so beforehand.  Jesus is coming back again but until then, Jesus is with His Father.  In return Jesus gave us peace and assurance so that our hearts would not be troubled or afraid.  God has sent the Holy Spirit in the name of Jesus to teach us all things according to God's love so that we love others who do not deserve our love or the love of God.
