Twenty year's ago, Kate Dunbar was struggling to move - riddled with joint pain and a diagnosis of psoriatic arthritis, she was on heavy medication and life seemed bleak. But when she started investigating how diet impacted her health, she transformed her condition, becoming not only pain free, but medication free. Cutting out animal products, and then transitioning to a plant-based wholefoods diet, she now runs marathons as a Vegan Runner.Kate's story is so inspirational that she now advises on the patient board for the Plant-Based Health Professionals, and speaks as an ambassador for Running On Plants and Vegan Runners. An activist for veganism she takes every opportunity to run and spread awareness of animals and the planet and why plant-based is not only better for welfare, and the earth, but also, her health.Follow Kate on Instagram at @kate.dunbar
Of all of the amazing things we can do with our trailers, a unique one is to camp, live, and work on the set of a major Hollywood production. Well, that's exactly what Kate Dunbar has been up to with her two kids! Kate started off cooking for the cast and crew of Paramount's Yellowstone prequel, titled 1883. That turned into acting roles for her and her two kids. Feeding and working alongside some of entertainments most recognizable stars... another great way to adventure and camp with your RV!

After the events in Texas a couple of weeks ago, we really needed to review what we have on hand should a disaster come our way. Most of us raided our camping and RV supplies to keep us warm, fed, hydrated, and healthy. We learned a thing or two, but we also have a better idea of where our packing in lacking. Join the RV Small Talk team and Kate Dunbar, the Campground Gourmet, as we discuss what saved us and what we really need to do better.
We've talked campground cooking a few times on the RV Small Talk Podcast... but we haven't actually shown any culinary success up to this point. Kate Dunbar, our go-to Campground Gourmet, has grown tired of our lame excuses. Kate has now challenged PJ, Lindsay, and Clint to go camping and make something yummy! (This could go badly.) Also, it seems like everybody is buying an RV lately... maybe you've decided it's time to sell your own RV... yourself! We'll help ya!
Right in the middle of the Austin RV Expo, we sat down to talk with Kate Dunbar, the Campground Gourmet, about the exploding (and award-winning) whiskey and bourbon scene in Texas. We've all heard about wine trails, wine tours, and whatnot... but a top-tier whiskey and bourbon adventure in the Lone Star State might just be another reason to put your boots on and make a visit to the land of the Alamo, Big Bend, Willie Nelson and everything else Texas has to offer an RVer. Take a listen, y'all!

The Kentucky Bourbon Trail is more than a trail, it's an entire region of the Bluegrass State. Travelers can explore the history and distinct flavors of local bourbons at the many distilleries that dot the region. If you plan to visit with your RV, you'll first need to decide where to stay. The Louisville South KOA and the Elkhorn Campground are two spots that come highly recommended by Kate Dunbar.
