Would you prefer a golden retriever or a sexy rat? Seems like an obvious question, but most people are picking the rat… Anna has three wild news stories, but Raven can only pick one! Intern Olivia, a former D1 basketball player and soon-to-be D1 coach, shares her thoughts on the state of the league! Sometimes, you just need to talk to a fellow Swiftie. Anna and Raven asked their interns Tessa and Matt about what senior pranks look like in 2024! Red Lobster is in trouble and someone is coming to the rescue! Wudupdoe! This is a special episode, as we have Doc Joe Brown of Pro Wrestling Talk For Pistons Fans (@ProPistons on twitter) as a guest. We talk about his new start up company Ticket Barter (https://ticket-barter.com/login_page?next=/dashboard/) and how he hoping to change the game when it comes to trading tickets for any and all events. We talk about that, wrestling and a ton else. Fun episode.
Alright I really get into how passionate I am about spreading ovarian cancer awareness. It is one of my life's missing. There's simply too many women that are still getting diagnosed late and still too many women dying due to that. We have to keep talking about it. We must keep talking about it. And if I come off as if I'm angry that friends and family haven't necessarily been there to support me on this mission that is not my intention. Was I hurt or surprised by how many weren't supportative? Sure. I really thought people would be jumping in line to ask me how they could buy my book or how they could tell people they know how to get their hands on a copy of my book or even just how they could help with spreading the awareness. That didn't happen. Not in the way I thought it would which would have been droves of people wanting to help because they were so happy I hadn't died. I didn't expect to be a New York best seller. Doubt a story of someone going through cancer would ever get that honor UNLESS they are already famous. But I didn't hope and even expected to have sold way more copies than I did here in my home country yet that didn't happen. But it did happen in Saudi, where I had students wanting to get a copy because they were so proud of me for surviving and writing a book about it. That puzzled me. Yet I didn't have time to somehow feel sorry for myself or be pissy about. Sometimes it really boils down to: it is what it is and it is a good lesson in don't put your expectations too high for those in your life with supporting you. I didn't want to think that way and I still don't want to think that way but this is life. All I can do is say what I am saying in this episode about how all of it and most especially let you all know that it would be really awesome if you shared now. If you would help me and all those folks and organizations out there doing all they can to spread awareness. It doesn't take money, if you have that those organizations will always be in need of help that way, nor does it take time to share things about ovarian cancer and in doing so, lives can be saved. I don't believe I should have lived.. I waited so long to see a doctor. I was in denial. Yet despite that I have continued to live, even despite having two recurrences. Despite the two surgeries and the 24 chemo treatments. I'm still here. I want it to mean something. And I want to earn it. That's why I share. And I hope you will help me share awareness too.
Hi everyone and welcome back to your weekly dose of magic! This week, my guest Danielle LaSusa tells a tale of what happened after the birth of her baby, and how she experienced the liminal space that was left open after her baby was born. A Ted Talk speaker, self-described Practical Philosopher and writer and in general magical human being, Danielle has witnessed more than most of us will in our lifetimes and is here to talk about it! You can find her writings in "The New York Times" as well as "Life Coach Magazine" and find her website here! She has a "Mother Den" community to help support mothers as well as a book on the way-so to say that she's busy doesn't even begin to express what her life looks like! But luckily for me she made time in her schedule to talk about miracles and magic and her mysterious experience. Thanks to everyone who listens and please remember-SHARING IS CARING...please share the podcast with those you love, those you like and those you don't know yet! AND REMEMBER TO RATE AND REVIEW! This episode's bit of beauty is a print from one of my favorite mystics, William Blake! He was an eccentric and odd man and he and his wife were known for their nude sunbathing (quite scandalous in his day!). I love people who live life boldly and truthfully and don't care what other people think! This image, "Jacob's Ladder" is exquisite and imagines what Heaven, Earth and Angels and the journey we take after death...or the journey that the Angels take when they can't find an Uber! A mystic's view of the Heavens...which makes this reality even more beautiful! See you next week for another episode of the podcast-and until then? Treat yourself well and witness something beautiful each and every day!

Dor's wish comes true; Amy and Dor are back! In the style of Season One, join them for a heartfelt exploration of personal struggles against the backdrop of a society teetering on the brink. Delve into candid discussions ranging from the haunting beauty of Israeli fiction, including Yaakov Shabtai's 'Past Continuous,' to the controversial Oscars, where filmmaker Jonathan Glazer's statements and the symbolic gestures, or lack thereof, by Hollywood figures like Steven Spielberg, stir debate. As they share their vulnerabilities, they draw parallels between the uncertain climate of 1970s Israel depicted in Shabtai's book and today's atmosphere, offering a unique perspective on the enduring impact of history. They also ponder the appropriateness of celebrating festivals like Purim in times of sorrow, exploring the paradox of seeking joy amidst grief. It's a conversation that delves deep into the heart of Israeli culture, literature, and current events, where raw emotion meets the stark reality of our world.Recorded on March 12 (Day 158)Thanks for tuning in!

Oppure no?

So, game sharing, right? Discover the power of relational intelligence and unlock the key to building meaningful connections. Tune in to this episode as I delve into the importance of authentic communication, self-awareness, and nurturing relationships. I'm also sharing some insights on why younger employees may try to get all their needs met at work and some perspective on how to widen your lens. Here are some power takeaways from today's conversation: The importance of relational intelligence Navigating the multigenerational workplace Embracing the beautiful chaos Episode Highlights: [00:07] The Importance of Relational Intelligence Our experiences, from unmet expectations to missed achievements, can leave us feeling invalidated and craving support. Whether it's parents not attending our soccer practices or failing to secure a trophy, these moments shape our family dynamics, chosen connections, and relationships. Navigating the complexities of life requires a deep understanding of relational intelligence. This essential skill empowers us to engage authentically, communicate effectively, and thrive in various social settings. In today's world, developing relational intelligence is crucial not only for personal growth but also for navigating everyday interactions with ease. [00:37] Navigating the Multigenerational Workplace In today's workplace, we find ourselves amidst a diverse mix of five generations. Managing such a dynamic can be challenging, especially when considering the differing needs and expectations of Generation Z, Millennials, Generation X, and Baby Boomers. Younger individuals often come to work seeking fulfillment, driven by unmet needs in various areas of their lives. However, it is important to acknowledge that work alone cannot meet all those needs, just as relationships fall short in fulfilling every aspect of our lives. As we navigate this complex landscape, it is crucial to broaden our perspective and recognize that relying solely on the workplace to provide purpose, job opportunities, and personal growth is unrealistic. While there may not be a definitive solution, understanding this reality can help us reassess our expectations and seek fulfillment in a balanced and holistic way. [01:37] Embracing the Beautiful Chaos Life is a beautifully messy journey for all of us, and I find joy in the midst of it. It's an honor when someone trusts me enough to include me in their mess. With boundaries in place, I see myself as a passenger, never taking control or steering the car. I'm there to offer validation and support, letting them know that they matter and they are safe within the walls we create together. No matter what challenges arise, we can find solutions and rebuild. In this space, they can spread their wings and soar, knowing I'll be there as their faithful passenger.

Ugh! That's the exact text I sent my dad earlier today. It pretty much sums up my mood - because Sassy isn't doing so well, therefore neither am I. I talk about this on today's episode of The Be Ruthless Show - not because it's all about me. I share because people need to know that sharing isn't only ok - it's necessary. I share because things like anxiety and grief and even just being tired are all invisible. The world will never know unless people like me are willing to put ourselves and our stories out there! And as students everywhere return to school, expressing ourselves truthfully is more important than ever.
