Larry Battson is our guest. He is a long-time wildlife educator and a long-time creative Bigfoot researcher. On June 9, 2009, Larry gave a lecture to the US Fish & Wildlife Service on his research on the Bigfoot/Sasquatch.For 40 plus years, he has traveled across the country, educating all ages about our natural world. He has lectured for the Audubon Society, Explorer’s Club, and the United States Fish and Wildlife Service. One of his proudest moments is the presentations he has done for thousands of schools and countless lectures with his animal family along with Jim Fowler, star of Mutual of Omaha’s WILD KINGDOM. It was over breakfast in Columbus, Georgia, that Jim was telling Larry about his recent trip to Russia to do a special with ABC Television on the Russian brown bear. All the Russian guides wanted to talk about was their sightings of the Russian Sasquatch. Inspired by their discussion, Larry developed an exhibit on the Bigfoot/Sasquatch for a major outdoor show in Cleveland, Ohio.Which included having the noted Sasquatch investigator and writer John Green come to Cleveland for the event. John and Larry would establish a friendship that lasted until John’s passing.Later, John Green and Bob Gimlin would be guests on Larry’s Blog Talk Show, “WILD WORLD.” This is the only time that the two appeared together in an interview. John Green said that it was the most important moment since the Patterson-Gimlin film in Bigfoot research.

Larry Battson (also known as "Larry, The Animal Guy") has been working with wild animals for nearly forty years. He and his wife, Cheryl, visit over 200 schools each year with their collection of exotic fauna. Larry also assisted retired radio host and escape artist Bill Shirk with animals for his various stunts, movies, and other special events. He even played a role in Bill Shirk's motion picture, The Escapist. Larry's animals have appeared on Johnny Carson, Today Show and Oprah. He has worked with the Discovery Channel, Animal Planet, and a regular for over 30 years on Channel 8 WISH-TV. Larry Battson has traveled thousands of miles in the last thirty years educating and entertaining audiences with his collection of wild animals. Visiting schools, nature centers and libraries has been his focus as well as special events for groups such as the Explorers Club in N.Y.C., U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Audubon Society. He has done promotional work for Mutual of Omaha's "Wild Kingdom" and the Animal Planet television network. He works with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources rescuing alligators and other reptiles. Larry has presented information about bigfoot / sasquatch at many conferences. An especially interesting account involves a former park ranger employed in Yellowstone National Park, who experienced a family of Sasquatch over a 25-year career in the park. During the man’s service in the park, he was lucky enough to observe their hunting habits and their families. As a result, you will learn from the experiences related that we shouldn’t “mess with Sasquatch”.
Join the Nite Caller's crew as we speak with Peter Wiemer of New York. Peter Wiemer has lived in the Chautauqua area for 52 years. After he graduated from Chautauqua Central High School in 76, he and his family purchased We Wan Chu Cottages on Chautauqua Lake in 1979. In 2011 Peter asked Larry to assist him in bringing a Bigfoot Conference to Chautauqua Lake as a Tourism Special Event. The first annual Chautauqua Lake Bigfoot (CLBF) Expo took place on May 6th, 2012. This event brought in national Bigfoot speakers from around the country to talk about their knowledge and experience with Bigfoots. Larry Battson is a nationally known educator on wildlife. He has traveled around the country for the last 30 years studying alleged sightings. Eventhough he faced the usual ridicule, he remained a believer. Larry first became intrigued when he spoke with Jim Fowler of "Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom" who related an event of searching for the brown bear in Russia and all the guides wanted to talk about was bigfoot, they were very afraid of them. Larry's interest is in all wildlife and Bigfoot is another form of wildlife. Larry runs Wildlife Educational Services, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating people. Larry was a natural choice for giving the lecture, "Cryptozoology: Bigfoot-Myth or Reality?" to the U.S Department of Fish and Wildlife and the Department of Interior where by simulcast it reached tens of thousands around the country on June 9,2009 at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife National Conservation Training Center in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. This event has opened the way to many new and exciting projects all over the country. In the world of Bigfoot, it was a historical event. The dvds and other articles will be available for sale and all proceeds are going to a very good cause, wildlife conservation. More information on how to recieve these dvds will be addressed on the show. Please join us on Nite Callers as we bring this very special guest to you, Mr. Larry Battson.
