Send us a textHey there, wild ones—and welcome back to Wildly Unplug, the podcast where we trade burnout for beauty, hustle for healing, and discover ourselves again through nature, art, and adventure. So… you're thinking podcasting might be for you? Then I'm here to tell you—it IS.If you feel the nudge, the whisper, the wild idea that you have something to say—follow that. The world needs your voice. Your stories. Your perspective. In this episode, I breakdown for you how to get started on your own podcasting journey! My personal notes that I have shared with people who have asked me how to get started: Hosting Platform- https://www.buzzsprout.com/2278247. I like Buzzsprout because it is user-friendly, lets me upload transcripts, can create sound bites to use for social media, and has a monetization option. I used Podbean for the first podcast, and it is lackluster.Intro and Outro- Fivver. I used Bearnie Baggs on Fivver. I shopped around and asked several creators if they could do the style I was looking for. I asked for a Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom style- all of them asked, "What is that?" and only one took the time to look it up and provide me with a sample I liked, so he is the one I went with. I also asked for the song that he used for the background with no voice on it- it was a little extra, but then I have the rights to that song to use in between clips or if I ever decide to change the intro verbiage, I can do that and still have the same song. To find Guests- https://podcastguests.com/featured-guest/ I use Google Drive under an email I made just for the podcast. I have an Excel style sheet (you will notice the name is in blue and underlined because I link it to the "script Google doc" with a checklist for each show to make sure I have done all the things and I also have a "script" for each show with a checklist, list of questions, and other info. Attached is a picture of my Excel checklist, and at the very end of this, I will have a link to the script so you can have visibility to your show.I schedule everything on Zoom and send the guest a Google Calendar invite through ZoomI save all my Zoom recordings on an external hard drive by the date To edit, I use Final Cut Pro. This is nice because I can export audio for the podcast and video for YouTubeITranscribe to get the transcript I use GoDaddy to host my website for my artwork and the show and blog ("field notes")Canva is handy for creating social media content- they also have a good section to help keep you "on brand" with your colorsLet's hear your story! Democrats are having their own civil war about the strategy they should follow in a new Trump era and who should be the leader. California Gov. Gavin Newsom is drawing fire this week by having Steve Bannon on his new podcast. Former Republican Congressman Adam Kinzinger says there are many people who sacrificed their political lives by challenging people like Steve Bannon and Newsom is trying to build his career by platforming him. President Donald Trump threatened to impose a massive tariff on European alcohol in response to the European Union's retaliation against his steel and aluminum tariffs – a tit-for-tat escalation of a trade war that could easily get out of hand. In a post on Truth Social, Trump said his administration would impose a 200% tariff on alcoholic beverages from the EU unless it rescinds the 50% tariff the European government imposed on US whiskey. March Madness is bound to impact office productivity, but if managed correctly, it's also a great opportunity to establish an annual ritual that builds office morale and employee engagement. Big Bear's beloved bald eagle couple, Jackie and Shadow, have welcomed three eaglets into the world. The Wild Kingdom As we approach the High Holy Days, we prepare to read a passage of Scripture on The Feast of Trumpets called The Akeidah. It refers to the binding of Isaac. A key verse is this: Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, “My father!” And he said, “Here I am, my son.” And he said, “Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering? Abraham said, “God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” So the two of them walked on together.” (Ge 22:7) For now, notice two things: 1. Isaac respectfully addresses Avraham, "My father." 2. Avraham responds, "Hineni." "Here I am, my son." They are in unity as to what is about to happen. Avraham will sacrifice Isaac, and Isaac will be figuratively resurrected from the dead. From henceforth, there is no question as to the line of succession. Two sons. One will be labeled "a wild donkey" (Ge 16:11-12), and one will receive the promise of a Land, Covenant, and People to pass along to his offspring. Although Avraham longed for Ishmael to live before Adonai, the birthright was awarded to the one who would sacrifice himself. The son walks with the father. The Son walks with the Father. When it is time for Isaac to in turn bless one of two sons, he nearly makes a mistake. Rivkah his wife knows that Esau unburdened himself of the birthright for a bowl of stew. He "hated" the promise, though later he sought it carefully with tears when he realized he wasn't entitled to the blessings if he didn't accept the birthright. Believers are not so different today. They quickly claim the promises, but when it comes to the obligations of the Torah, they are nowhere to be found. They're just playing a wild game. In order to deceive Isaac, Rivkah instructs Jacob to dress in Esau's special garment and to put goat skins on his arms. “So he [Jacob] came close and kissed him; and when he smelled the smell of his garments, he blessed him and said, “See, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field which the LORD has blessed...” (Ge 27:27) Although the voice didn't add up to Isaac, the pleasant field fragrance was apparently a singular aroma, one not easily duplicated or confused with another. Where did it come from? The sages say it was from the blessed field of Creation, the garment Elohim made for Adam when he drove the first couple from the Garden. The garment was handed down to Noah, but after the Flood, the fear and dread of mankind fell upon the animal kingdom. With the special garment, though, the animal kingdom continued to have no fear. It still held the fragrance of obedient Eden. The animals would approach anyone wearing the garment, recognizing his authority in the Creation. It is thought that eventually Nimrod "the mighty hunger before the Lord" took control of the garment, which gave him power over the animals. When people saw this special power, they submitted themselves to him, giving him dictatorial power. At some point, Esau killed Nimrod and took this pleasant garment for his own: Then Rebekah took the best (chemdah) garments of Esau her elder son, which were with her in the house, and put them on Jacob her younger son. (Ge 27:15) ????????? ??????? ???????????? ?????? ??????? ???????? ????????? ?????? ??????? ????????? ???????????? ??????????? ??????? ????????? ???????? chemdâh feminine of H2531; delight:—desire, goodly, pleasant, precious. David Webster is a father of two wonderful sons, married to his best friend Brandi for 33 years this fall, a blue collar worker at the same trade for 33 years, and has ran his own business for 25 years now. Just a standard, steady individual, no higher education or specialized training at anything really, only acquiring knowledge about different subjects informally along the way. As a child, Dave always had an interest in exploring the outdoors, curious about the natural world and life's mysteries. All through life he enjoyed documentaries like Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom, In Search Of, Monster Quest, and others. Vacations as a child with his family usually involved the outdoors and camping. His parents instilled a love of nature in him and his brother. Most of all, though, they instilled a love for God and the bible in him. He grew up immersed in a Christian religious setting. In spite of this, he never considered himself a religious person. He always seemed to view all that he learned about God through more of a scientific lens than one of a religious nature. While he always enjoyed the company of others, he generally was most comfortable when he was in a quiet place. These feelings intensified as he got older and it brought him to a low point with his faith and caused him to withdraw. At about the same point in time, late summer 2014, he became aware of a seminar being presented at his local library on Bigfoot. He attended with his youngest son and one of his sons friends. He was amazed at the number of reports by seemingly credible people. This information put him on a path of intense study of the subject in his free time. He decided to try to look for himself to see what was out there. Little did he know at the time, his life would never be the same again after this.RICH DANIELS BOOK: Footprints In The Mindhttps://www.amazon.com/Footprints-Mind-Bigfoot-Witness-Experience/dp/B0D6KR3BPT/ref=sr_1_2?crid=10LM56YGX5WYZ&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.JCTjoreo6Ms3stFSFenPyZP8B3bYaAvszvcwY_ci4SM.NMUFlDOpfevsG_OgrjDL05CMCrv4dLh3u2lqFDRR2Wk&dib_tag=se&keywords=footprints+in+the+mind+rich+daniels&qid=1722477508&sprefix=footprints+in+the+mind%2Caps%2C128&sr=8-2Click that play button, and let's unravel the mysteries of the UNTOLD! "Bloodbrothers" The Bronx-born Richard Blum took his love of wrestling and Catskill Mountains humor and created Handsome Dick Manitoba, the wildly charismatic frontman of the legendary proto-punk outfit The Dictators. Along with his childhood best friend Scott Kempner, Andy Shernoff, Ross Friedman and Stu Boy King, The Dictators tore out of the gate with all the fuel-injected energy of the MC5, and absolutely demolished the stage with high octane live shows that were nothing short of legendary. Although not huge commercial successes, albums like Go Girl Crazy! and Manifest Destiny were instant classics and still sound as urgent and alive as they did over 40 years ago. So why weren't they commercial successes? I don't know. The Ramones had their leather jackets, and The New York Dolls had their sleazy glamour, but hook of The Dictators was a mystery? I mean, come on--a fevered cultural cauldron of cars, girls, television, and raging weekends, The Dictators' hook was simple: it was an adrenalized and fevered vision of the modern world, simplified into three minute blasts of feral punk wrath. But it was also funny. A big Jewish flex of humor and irony, The Dictators weren't messing around about messing around. They were enjoying themselves. Using an updated blast of Borscht Belt comedy with youthful frustration, The Dictators weren't a high concept band--they were economical in their approach and somehow this went over a lot of people's heads and even though their members had nicknames like Top Ten or The Boss or... Handsome Dick Manitoba, they were taken literally and not ironically and the point of the fun was totally missed. They covered The Stooges and Sonny and Cher, they even took a gleeful stab at California Sun--not too shabby for kids from New York, Look, the songs are as timeless and anything The Ramones or The Dolls ever did, and their lack of massive success seems a huge generational oversight, but what can one do? The band dissolved like bands do, Handsome Dick later fronted Manitoba's Wild Kingdom, fronted a later iteration of The MC5 and is now playing under his own name with a killer band behind him. www.handsomedickmanitoba.com www.bombshellradio.com (http://www.bombshellradio.com) www.stereoembersmagazine.com (http://www.stereoembersmagazine.com) www.alexgreenbooks.com Twitter: @emberseditor IG: @emberspodcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com
