HORSEFLY CHRONICLES RADIO IS SPONSORED BY CARNATION    Long ago Vanessa Hogle was stuck. Knee deep in two jobs, a dead end relationship and no positive viewpoint regarding the future. Knowing something had to change she drew inspiration from her past and began to forge a new life for herself and her son. She had been involved in the paranormal community before and knew that's where she had to start. A former fellow investigator, had started up a publishing company and asked her to write about her experiences. Having "remote viewed" for a previous investigative team, and consulted for The "Leave or Die" episode of The Haunted, on Animal Planet, Vanessa had more than enough material to write a book. Subsequently fulfilling her lifelong dream of becoming an author. Major life changes were happening, at this time, forcing Vanessa to re-access her life. Knowing there was nowhere to go but up, she let go of all that no longer supported her. Writing her first book, Soulscapes, which was released April 28th of 2015 and ending a six year dead end relationship, acted as a catalyst forcing her to come out of her shell and accept who she really was. It wasn't long before she began to network with like-minded individuals all over the world. Gaining insight, and experience, she set out to tell her story. Her para-biography, Giving up the Ghost, release date August 27th of 2015 laid it all out for the world to see. The struggles, the heartache, the confusion of growing up with certain gifts. During this time word of what Vanessa could do had gotten around. She began reading, and remote viewing, for multiple teams in the United States and abroad. Even co-hosting her own show, Edge of the Rabbit Hole for over 4 years. She also began to make numerous appearances on blogtalk radio, multiple podcast and You Tube. Her appearances include Beyond The Strange, Miami Ghost Chronicles, Stories of the Supernatural, multiple appearances on Spaced Out Radio, Necromancer Live, Paranormal Collaboration, Paranormal King, multiple appearances on Paranormal Connection Radio, Our Paranormal Stories and extensive appearances on Paranormal Zone TV. Her abilities and accomplishments have also been written about in Campus Ghost of Norman and Entertainment 2Morrow as well as KFOR news, in Oklahoma, who did a special segment "Is This a Great State or What?" on Vanessa. Through these shows, and social media, Vanessa has been able...in the last four years... to travel the world investigating and meeting those whom she has helped, remotely. Her travels have taken her to New Orleans, for Haunted Bourbon Paracon where, upon arriving, she was immediately contacted to do a special segment for the local news station 4WWL in regards to the Abita Springs Bakery. She has also investigated in Alton, Illinois at the Mineral Springs Hotel, Easton, PA at the Horsefly Chronicles House. Staten Island, NY and NJ for the Cropsey case, and documentary about the disappearance of Holly Ann Hughes. In West Virginia at Moundsville State Prison. In Virginia at multiple private residences, Saylors Creek Battlefield, cabin on 360 and Hollywood Cemetery. In Sheffield, England, at The Old Queens Head...where the head of programming of History UK, Dom Wilkins, drove from London to investigate with her. Grace Dieu Priory in Sheffield, England. Hellfire Caves in England. Whitby hostel/Abbey, in Whitby England. Mary Kings Close in Edinburgh, Scotland. City Center in Glasgow, Scotland. Private Lodging in Edinburgh, Scotland. Hellfire Club in Dublin, Ireland. Blarney Castle in Cork, Ireland. Ross Castle in Killarney, Ireland. Muckross Abbey, Co Kerry, Ireland. The Ambassador Hotel in Cork, Ireland, Morrigans cave, Spelmans motel, Tuam, Moore Hall, Leap Castle,  Kilmanheim Gaol, Wicklow Goal and many more. Not all of these are true investigations but, as a sensitive, Vanessa is able to pick up on activity regardless and document. She took many of these experiences and put them in a third book called, Walking with Ghosts...release date September 25th 2017. Vanessa went on to write Rebel Witch in June 2019, Diary of a Psychic Loser Magnet in June 2020, Ghosts Abroad Ireland in February 2021 and They Would Have Burned Me in July 2022. What The Soul Knows has a projected release date of March 2023.  Find out more about Vanessa here: https://www.redbubble.com/people/vhogle/shop https://m.youtube.com/c/VanessaReneeHogle https://society6.com/vanessahogle

Change is an inevitable part of life, and we have no control over it. Each decade that passes by adds to our life experiences and helps us evolve into who we are today. It is important to embrace change with open arms rather than look for its negatives. If we continue to accept change, good or bad, we will be better equipped to identify opportunities in life and make the most out of them. As Risa Morimoto turned 55 in November, she found herself reflecting on how far she had come and feeling as energetic as a 30-year-old woman. This realization highlights the fact that midlife does not have to be a dreaded period, but can instead represent an opportunity for growth and reinvention. While some people may struggle with physical or mental health issues during this time, others use it as a springboard to reach new heights and take their lives in exciting directions. In this episode, your host Risa Morimoto shares some of the things she has been celebrating as she gets older. She encourages us to be thankful for our age and all that it brings with it, like wisdom, experience, and perspective. Risa encourages us to focus on the things that bring us joy and ensure we take time to appreciate them. If you feel like there's something more to life than what you are currently experiencing, it could be a sign of a spiritual awakening. You don't have to wait for anything negative or traumatic to happen in order to have an awakening - it can actually be spontaneous and freeing when achieved without any external influence. To experience this kind of awakening, start by removing distractions and going deeper within yourself to gain a greater level of awareness and discernment. This will allow you to access higher levels of consciousness that can happen anytime, like when you are walking down the street. Sometimes when you feel disconnected, like something is missing, and life is passing you by it can be a sign that you need to take a step back and go inward. These triggering experiences are an invitation to delve into ourselves and explore the world of spiritual awakening within. By exploring our soul's purpose, we can gain more insights into what our true calling in life might be. In this episode, Christina Lopes, a life coach, and spiritual teacher, provides insight and guidance on healing past wounds and trauma and finding spiritual awakening. How to step into spirituality with a nonreligious connotation? [21:30] Steps to tune back in to reconnect with our energy and chakra.  [27:07] Technology's light and shadow sides are based on its ability to connect and disconnect us. [31:31] Where and how to start doing the inner work and going deeper to heal, get more clarity and be more lively?  [37:24] Doing the healing work to shift lower vibration energy to higher vibrations. About Christina Lopes -  Christina Lopes, DPT, MPH, spent a decade working as a neuropediatric clinician before becoming a life coach, spiritual teacher, author, and entrepreneur. In 2013, she experienced a profound spiritual awakening, followed by 4 years of solitude and deep meditation training. In those years, Christina experienced her spiritual awakening with “science eyes,” opened her severely blocked heart, and healed from significant childhood trauma. Today, she seamlessly bridges science and spirituality to help others heal from significant trauma, open their hearts, and live fulfilling lives. She is also committed to making spirituality more measurable and down-to-earth for the average person. Christina's unique coaching style includes a focus on the heart as the primary driver of healing and transformation instead of the mind. It is no secret that healthy diets give you the energy to perform tasks and increase your lifespan, while unhealthy foods cause inflammatory diseases and drain your pockets with medications and surgeries.   A healthy lifestyle indeed starts in the kitchen, but what should you not buy when in the supermarket? Which foods should be your priorities when shopping? It is also important to acknowledge that a healthy diet alone is not enough to maintain good health. You need a healthy lifestyle encompassing regular physical exercise, stress reduction, socializing, adequate sleep, and a yearly physical checkup. You should pay attention to all those components because an unbalanced life is not a healthy life. In this episode, Dr. Raj Anand helps us understand how to shop better and eat better for a healthy heart. We talk more about what food we should eat and, more importantly, what we should not be eating in order to take care of our hearts. Learn tips on how to go shopping with clarity of mind about what to put in the shopping cart and what not to include.   Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode: [01:42] Dr. Raj's philosophy of reducing the chances of sickness as we get older. [03:48] Components of a healthy lifestyle. [05:49] How should you shop for healthy foods? [06:54] Why should you only use avocado oil instead of olive oil and canola oil? Kolber and Atomic are a frequent collaborator with icon Pharrell Williams, having created and producer BRAINCHILD (Netflix) with Pharrell, as well as two upcoming documentaries. Kolber is the co-creator and host of the world's most popular 3x weekly kids educational podcast Who Smarted?, which had three million downloads in its first year. Kolber's other creator and Showrunner credits include Inked (A&E), Confessions of a Matchmaker (A&E), GE in the Wild (with Mythbusters' Adam Savage), and the space documentary 14 Minutes from Earth (Netflix). Kolber grew up in the swamp in South Florida. He was an avid cyclist, theater kid, and nationally ranked Lincoln-Douglas debater. Kolber didn't know regular people could make movies until he met a group of regular people at NYU who were studying to make movies, where he was studying theater production and design. Kolber's first job was as Business Manager of the legendary Jean Cocteau Repertory Theater on the Bowery. Kolber followed his time at the Cocteau Rep with a summer in the immediately- post-Communist Czech Republic, attempting to produce theater in circumstances better suited to producing a nervous breakdown. Upon his return to the states, Kolber began working in the stage theatrical departments at major movie studios, including Universal and Disney. Kolber began his career in television in the production finance department at Dick Wolf's Fox hit “New York Undercover”, bridging the gap between finance and creative. He was the production auditor on the first seasons of HBO's Sex And The City, and Bravo's Queer Eye For The Straight Guy, ultimately becoming line producer of more than fifty episodes of Queer Eye while learning to put the hair product in from the back. Kolber went on a wild ride in the rapidly expanding early landscape of unscripted television, working for E!, fuse, Bravo, Disney/ABC, National Geographic, Discovery ID, MTV, Animal Planet, and multiple A&E series, as an in- demand Co-EP, showrunner, and writer of unscripted entertainment. He always knew that one day he would bring his love of entertainment and disdain for outdated one-size-fits-all education together and Brain Games provided the first of many opportunities to show what was possible. Since 2010 Kolber, his team at Atomic, and their amazing partners have been responsible for some of the most successful and beloved edutainment programming in the world. Investing in preconstruction and resale properties is risky no matter where you go, but understanding how it works, getting the right information, knowing the red flags to look for, and doing your due diligence to make sure you make the right decision is key.  Presale development contracts are different from resale contracts. In most development, presale constructions can take anywhere between a year and a half to two and a half years, depending on the scale and location of the project. Additionally, for resale, the contracts are pretty standard and similar, but for presale, every developer has their contract, which is different from the others. Just as every preconstruction development takes a different timeline to complete, the payment model is also unique to every contract. However, the developers' payment is based on the milestones they make on the construction. This begins with a substantial downpayment at the signing of the contract, which can be anywhere from 20% to 35%, and the corresponding payments are paid based on the milestone they make on the construction. In this episode, Taniel Chemsian, Senior Sales Associate at Timothy Real Estate Group, talks about preconstruction and resale contracts. Taniel also expounds on the different comparables to look at when purchasing a property to ensure you get a good deal at a good price.     Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode: [02:17] Taniel shares what you need to know about presale and presale contracts before looking for a property. [03:46] Acquiring property in restricted zones and why the title can only be held in trust by a bank. [05:05] How preconstruction development works from the initial payment to the corresponding payments in installments to completion? The red flags to look out for when doing your due diligence to ensure that a preconstruction or resale property is legit. [08:42] How can you protect yourself from unforeseeable disasters in a preconstruction investment? Can you do a recourse in case something happens and you are unable to continue and get your money back? [10:20] The advantages of preconstruction projects and when you can get the best discount based on the consumer risk. [11:33] Taniel's recommendations on the comparables to look out for when purchasing a property to ensure you are getting a good deal. [12:24] The amenities and other structures that developers are adding to projects nowadays  [20:10] At what point do you decide whether to go for a preconstruction or a resale? [24:52] The predominant cities where resale condo homes are most popular.   About Taniel Chemsian -  Taniel Chemsian is a Senior Sales Associate at Timothy Real Estate Group, representing some of the finest properties and condominium developments in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. She also enjoys hosting clinics specifically highlighting effective and universally recognized dog and horse training techniques. Heidi served as the Head Trainer and/or animal consultant for various venues such as the Tournament of Kings Show at Excalibur in Las Vegas and Walt Disney World Co in Florida. She has been featured on multiple radio programs and tv shows, such as iHeart Radio, Good Morning America, MSNBC, and on Animal Planet's Pet Star; America's Got Talent; Walt Disney, Nickelodeon Studios and more! Heidi is proud of her heritage as a third-generation animal owner, trainer, and committed caretaker. Her parents were well respected animal trainers. Her mother specialized in dogs, minis, ponies and horses, while her father was internationally acclaimed for training camels, llamas, zebra, horses, elephants, and more. Heidi likes to describe her dad as a veritable Dr. Doolittle who really did "talk to the animals." She and her three sisters were always a part of the animal training process, and also the care. Animals were part of their family. Her parents and grandfather utilized a very common-sense approach to animal care and training, which she feels is the cornerstone (and uniqueness) of her training methods today. John and Mary Ruth Herriott both passed away in 2015, but their legacy endures with Heidi, her sisters, and many nieces and nephews who still work with and care for animals. In the early 1900's when tourism started to explode in Florida there were more people witnessing native Americans jumping in the water and catching alligators. Spectators called this alligator wrestling. It is a barehanded capture technique developed by the Native American people as well as other handlers to bring an alligator back home alive. You always wanted to bring the alligator back alive because the meat would spoil very quickly in the Florida Sun. As time went on spectators would pay to see native Americans handle alligators and learn more about the culture. This became one of the 1st forms of revenue for the native people in Florida. The name alligator wrestling is a name that has always stuck, it draws people in from all over the country to observe. The alligators in the demonstrations you see are ALL RESCUED alligators that will be able to live out the rest of their lives in a sanctuary instead of being put down.  Battle Reenactment 3 pm Lawn Chairs welcome        Terry Smith, local artist, will be doing a demonstration in the Lockey Room, in the main Building, during the Saturday event. Losing weight is an ever-ending battle for so many people, and it often feels like a constant sacrifice that is never enough. Eating restrictions creates resistance and food disorders that end up not feeding and nourishing your body and soul. Living in a "filter bubble" and a culture that focuses on body image rather than nourishment and care has made it hard for many women to love themselves. The pressure to diet and lose weight is increasing exponentially from social media, peers, family, and even government policies, which are normalizing restrictive diets. The media will always be there, and when we allow it to dictate how we feel and eat, it is easy to get jaded by all the information we receive. We all know what to eat! It's not a mystery. Eating right has nothing to do with food. It is about the way we eat our food.  Our thoughts, emotions, and attitude toward ourselves influence how we eat. When we change our attitude and find more peace and joy in who we are and what we do, our bodies will start to stabilize and normalize without dieting. You are not your body. Get in touch with who you are and transform your life. In this episode, Camille Martin, a registered dietician and former chronic dieter, talks about how we can shed the stress and the resistance we bring into our lives to shed physical pounds. There are a lot of reasons why 95% of diets fail, and we are going to get to the root of all these issues. Take a listen!   Snapshot of the Key Points from the Episode: [01:53] Camille's experience with dieting and eating disorders and how she got out of the dieting spiral, overcame the resistance, and turned everything around. [06:08] The psychological side of dieting and weight gain and how it can dominate your thoughts and behaviors.    [08:07] How Camille works with her clients to help them shed the thought process that has been ingrained in them for decades.  [11:21] What leads to sugar craving and emotional eating and how to manage, untrain ourselves and break the habit. Camille suggests micro steps that you can start practicing immediately to modify bad habits to good ones.  [14:41] The therapy side of diet is not about the food but how you eat it.  [16:06] Camille's advice on the amount of daily routine that you should try to incorporate into your lifestyle  [18:47] Key takeaways from Camille to women who are struggling on how they can take the lead and reclaim their life About Camille Martin -  Camille is a registered dietitian, public health writer, and former chronic dieter dedicated to helping women quit dieting, set bigger and better goals, reclaim their excitement for life — and lose weight in the process. She spent nearly 25 years of her life on a diet, and she's passionate about showing women how to break free from the downward dieting spiral of failure and the shame it brings. She learned through a long (and sometimes painful) process how to improve her relationship with food, change her destructive habits and negative thought patterns, and lose weight without dieting. Her mission is to help women learn so they can short-cut that process and be on their way to a happier, healthier life — one that's no longer dominated by desperation to lose weight . . . but that will naturally help you lose it. In her "other" life, she is an editor for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the author of Love to Lose, and a proud mom of two beautiful daughters and their rescue dogs.   How to connect with Camille Martin: Website: https://camillemartinrd.com/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/camille_martin_rd/?hl=en Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/camillemartinrd/ Get Camille's book: https://camillemartinrd.com/shop/   About Risa Morimoto  Founder and CEO of Modern Aging, Risa is a certified integrative nutrition health coach.
