Today, Pastor Jack teaches us that things that happen in life are not the things that define who we are. We are a people with lives that are far greater, created by God, in His image, and are called according to His purpose
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that Jesus is the only life to live because we're looking to be rescued, loved and accepted. Only Christ can really love us and fill our lives with purpose.
Today, Pastor Jack teaches that there is a sense of hope and excitement of Jesus's resurrection when we realize that His return is closer than ever. Our lives may be busy, and our direction gets compromised, but one thing is true. Our lives need His help, and only Christ can change us, and keep us focused on the things that really matter.
Today, in this special Passion Week message, Pastor Jack teaches that there is a call of God on every believer, and the nation of Israel is the center of God's promises. This means that wherever you're at, or whatever you're doing, the God of Israel is watching and waiting for you to finally break through the crowd and invite Him into your life.
Today, in this special Passion Week message, Pastor Jack teaches that Passion Week is a week filled with real events. Israel was under Roman occupation, but the 400 years of silence from God was about to end, and a hope in Christ was about to spring forth.
We can't share the good news of the gospel and leave Jesus dead. His death is certainly important, because through it we receive forgiveness. But there is so much more, with the resurrection also central to our faith. The Heidelberg Catechism asks the question: How does Christ's resurrection benefit us? The summary of their answer is that by Jesus' resurrection he has overcome death, we now experience resurrected life, and we have a glorious future guaranteed. Paul supports all this as he writes 1 Corinthains 15. Without the resurrection the good news becomes bad news. If Jesus didn't rise from the dead all our praying, serving, church attendance, God honouring ways of life and more have been a waste of time. But the good news is Jesus has been raised from the dead. That brings hope; that changes everything. The resurrection of Christ is not a theory or an idea. It is a historical fact, and a demonstration of the power of God.Preacher: Jim de Witte Passage: 1 Corinthians 15:12-34 Support the show

SCRIPTURE- Luke 13:3"No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”REFLECTION- JustinMUSIC- NOTES- Lyrics to "Will the Lord Remember Me" by Red Clay StraysWhen on the cross of Calvary, the Lord was crucifiedThe mob stood 'round Him and mocked HimYeah, they mocked Him until He diedTwo thieves were knelt beside Him to share the agonyBut one of them cried out to Him, "Oh, Lord, remember me"Will the Lord remember me when I am called to go?When I have crossed death's chilly seaWill He, His love there show?Oh, yes (oh, yes), He heard my feeble cry (ooh)From bondage set me free (set me free)And when I reach those Pearly Gates, He will remember meOh, will the Lord remember me when I am called to go?When I have crossed death's chilly seaWill He, His love still show?Oh, yes (oh, yes), He heard my feeble cry (ooh)From bondage set me free (set me free)And when I reach those Pearly Gates, He will remember me (ooh)PRAYER OF LETTING GOTo You do I belong, O God, into Your hands I surrender my life. Pour out Your Spirit upon me that I may love You perfectly, and serve You faithfully until my soul rests in You.
Mark 16:13-20 KJV - 13 And they went and told it unto the residue: neither believed they them. 14 Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. 19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. 20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.

Discipleship is not a Sunday thing. It is an every-day thing. We are not called to be fans of Jesus. We are called to be followers of Jesus and that is an all-in commitment. The singular command: Love God. Love your neighbor. Let's commit to be all-in. Let's eat, drink and live Jesus. That is our commitment. Here is the my homily for the Twenty Third Sunday of Ordinary Time. Please feel free to share it with others. (Read more…)

Day 4 From the writings of St. Jane de Chantal Eagerness to "Live Jesus!" will enable us to exercise holy love in all things, great or small. When we assist neighbors in need, we are a loving support, a help and comfort to them. Since we try to see Jesus in everyone, we will serve each regardless of our personal ease and convenience. If we wish to possess the virtue of neighborly love, we must accustom ourselves to accept people just as they are, regardless of their failings and actions, even those that offend us. Still, we reprove the faults of those under our charge, especially our own children, but in such a way that they know our love for them is constant and unconditional. For while we have no control over our feelings, we do over our actions. To act thus is to be like Jesus, our model!
