The God Minute is a short, daily Christian prayer that includes peaceful music, scripture and a reflection to bless your day with the Lord. It's only 10 minutes. Take a few God Minutes each morning and see how your day rises in abundance. A Catholic devotional by the Congregation of the Mission - the Vincentians.
The God Minute podcast is truly a gem in the realm of spiritual podcasts. From the moment you press play, you are transported into a world of peace, reflection, and inspiration. The hosts, Father Ron and Father Michael, have created a space where listeners can start their day off right with a 10-minute dose of prayer, scripture, music, and thoughtful reflections. It is evident that a lot of love and care goes into each episode.
One of the best aspects of The God Minute podcast is its ability to touch on various topics that resonate deeply with listeners. Whether it's discussing personal struggles and how to find solace in God or sharing stories of faith and resilience, there is always something relatable for everyone. The hosts have a talent for weaving together scripture readings, insightful reflections, and beautiful music to create a truly immersive experience. Additionally, the episodes often feature guest speakers who bring unique perspectives and add diversity to the content.
The worst aspect of this podcast is that each episode is only 10 minutes long. While this can be seen as a positive for those who prefer shorter podcasts, it can sometimes leave listeners wishing for more. The brevity of each episode means that certain topics may not be explored as deeply as one might hope. However, this could also be seen as an advantage for those who are looking for quick but meaningful moments of reflection in their busy lives.
In conclusion, The God Minute podcast is a must-listen for anyone seeking daily spiritual nourishment and guidance. Its concise format makes it easily accessible for people with busy schedules, while still providing powerful messages that resonate long after the episode ends. Whether you're looking for inspiration or simply want to deepen your connection with God on a daily basis, this podcast will not disappoint. Give it a listen and let The God Minute become part of your spiritual journey.

While everyone was asleep his enemy cameand sowed weeds all through the wheat, and then went off. When the crop grew and bore fruit, the weeds appeared as well. The slaves of the householder came to him and said,'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? Where have the weeds come from?'He answered, 'An enemy has done this.'His slaves said to him, 'Do you want us to go and pull them up?'He replied, 'No, if you pull up the weedsyou might uproot the wheat along with them. Let them grow together until harvest;then at harvest time I will say to the harvesters,"First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles for burning;but gather the wheat into my barn."'"

(A meditation based on a reading from the Gospel of Luke 10:38-42)Today's meditation examines the recounting of Jesus' visit to the home of Martha and Mary in the town of Bethany. We will recognize the ways we are like Martha in our daily lives, and how we can learn to be more like Mary.

CLICK HERE FOR VIDEO to this reflectionMatthew 13:1-9On that day, Jesus went out of the house and sat down by the sea. Such large crowds gathered around himthat he got into a boat and sat down, and the whole crowd stood along the shore. And he spoke to them at length in parables, saying:"A sower went out to sow. And as he sowed, some seed fell on the path, and birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky ground, where it had little soil. It sprang up at once because the soil was not deep, and when the sun rose it was scorched, and it withered for lack of roots. Some seed fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up and choked it. But some seed fell on rich soil and produced fruit,a hundred or sixty or thirtyfold. Whoever has ears ought to hear."

What does it mean to listen with the ear of your heart?Join us as we spend time with St. Benedict, whose wisdom has guided Christians for more than 1,500 years. Through prayer, reflection, and quiet listening, we'll explore how God speaks through ordinary moments, daily work, and the people we encounter each day.

No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Sonand anyone to whom the Son wishes to reveal him.""Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest.Take my yoke upon you and learn from me,for I am meek and humble of heart;and you will find rest for yourselves. Our meditation today is a Lectio Divina, which is Latin for Divine Reading. This ancient form of meditation has 4 steps: to read, to meditate, to pray, and to contemplate on a specific passage from Scripture. The repetition of the passage followed each time by reflecton allows us to treat the Scripture as the Living Word of God, delving into a deeper meaning and understanding with each repetition and reflection. This helps us to become one with the Scripture, turning this meditation into a powerful conversation with God.Today's Scripture is from Psalm 27:14"Wait for the Lord; be strong and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord."

CLICK HERE for videoMatthew 9:36-10:8At the sight of the crowds, Jesus' heart was moved with pity for thembecause they were troubled and abandoned, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples,“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;so ask the master of the harvestto send out laborers for his harvest.”Then he summoned his twelve disciplesand gave them authority over unclean spiritsto drive them out and to cure every disease and every illness. The names of the twelve apostles are these:first, Simon called Peter, and his brother Andrew;James, the son of Zebedee, and his brother John;Philip and Bartholomew, Thomas and Matthew the tax collector;James, the son of Alphaeus, and Thaddeus;Simon from Cana, and Judas Iscariot who betrayed him.Jesus sent out these twelve after instructing them thus,“Do not go into pagan territory or enter a Samaritan town.Go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, make this proclamation: ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.'Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers, drive out demons.Without cost you have received; without cost you are to give.”

In this meditation, we look at the ways we are bound mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and how a deeper connection to Jesus can release us from our bonds that keep us from God. Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit, who dwells within us, who can release us from all bondage if we only ask. This meditation brings us in closer communion with Christ through the gift of His Spirit and helps us to turn to the Holy Spirit, freeing us from our bondage and allowing us to soar spiritually.Invocation of the Holy Spirit:"Holy Spirit, I welcome you. Come and meet me here. Open my eyes to see what you have already done for me. Let me breathe in the freedom you offer.""Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."-Corinthians 3:17

Whoever eats this bread will live forever, and the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”52 Then the Jews debated among themselves, asking, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?”53 Jesus said to them, “I assure you, unless you eat the flesh of the Human One and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day. 55 My flesh is true food and my blood is true drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in them. 57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever eats me lives because of me. 58 This is the bread that came down from heaven. It isn't like the bread your ancestors ate, and then they died. Whoever eats this bread will live forever.”
