El trompetista británico Tom Arthurs, que en Club de Jazz descubrimos mano a mano con la pianista Julia Hülsmann, presenta su nuevo disco como líder, "One year", que comparte con el pianista Richard Fairhurst y el baterista Markku Ounaskari. Un trabajo de enorme delicadeza cuyas composiciones proceden de un tiempo de paréntesis personal y que encuentra, entre otras, inspiración en la película Mirror de Tarkovsky. Lo estrenamos en esta edición de 'Club de Jazz' del 4 de febrero de 2018. Para los aficionados al baloncesto, el triple doble es una doble figura estadística en tres apartados del juego; para el baterista Tomas Fujiwara es un Triple Double junto a Gerald Cleaver (batería), los guitarristas Mary Halvorson y Brandon Seabrook y los trompetistas Ralph Alessi y Taylor Ho Bynum. El saxofonista extremeño Luis Verde presenta "Vientos Cruzados", su nuevo trabajo en compañía de Moisés P. Sánchez (piano y teclado), Reinier Elizarde (contrabajo) y Mark Schilders (batería). El pianista Jason Moran abrió en 2016 una serie de conciertos en la Armería de Park Avenue, de Nueva York, un edificio histórico de la ciudad en el que registró su segundo disco de piano solo.
