In the heart of countless battles, where the roar of conflict and the weight of sacrifice formed the backdrop of their days, two Denver musicians forged a bond that would outlast the scars of tour. From the stage to the afters (and the Corey Feldmans that came between), a friendship formed between Andy & Nick that was both refuge AND beacon. In other words: we're talking drugs and drama, people. Aaaaaand on the Interview Hour, Slightly Stoopid joins the fray as Andy sits down with multi-instrumentalist, Miles Doughty! With vibes so smooth, you'll feel like you're sitting on a sandy beach drinking a tasty cocktail... Or are you, really?? Welcome to the MATRIX, yall. (Turns out it's been a simulation all along) Why not crack open a Belching Beaver and enjoy the ride? 110001010100100001 (idk drunk) And guess what... now you can see a cool dog by the name of Denzel should you choose to watch this episode *exclusively* on Volume.com... now in color! There is no feeling in the world quite like enjoying a concert on a summer night. The pandemic stripped us of that unique and awesome experience. Now, for the first time in years, many bands are returning to the road for live shows. The reggae, rock-fusion band Slightly Stoopid is among them. Their Summer Traditions 2022 Tour kicked off July 7 in Bonner, Montana. It's the first in an epic concert schedule concluding in San Diego, California. The ensemble was formed by Kyle McDonald and Miles Doughty in the mid 90s, pairing a unique style of California funk with reggae-inspired roots. Over the past two decades, Slightly Stoopid's sound has evolved but its message has consistently called for cannabis reform. The band launched its cannabis brand Stoopid Organics in mid 2021. Cannabis & Tech Today spoke with Doughty just before the band kicked off its summer tour to discuss his return to the road and why he's been such a passionate advocate for cannabis the last twenty years.Cannabis Tech Talks are brought to you thanks to the support of Polyscience. Slightly Stoopid's Miles Doughty discussed the surreal feeling of performing at Petco Park in his San Diego hometown, his Padres fandom and friendship with Musgrove and the irreplaceable energy of music.
In this episode, Benji sits down with lead singer of Slightly Stoopid, Miles Doughty. They cover everything from the beginnings of the band and how being a rockstar has impacted Miles' life, to Miles' side career coaching softball for his daughters.
He MUST have this when playing @TheAmp Delayed Gratification. Last week The Amp, in Saint Augustine, hosted the popular bands, Pepper & Slighty Stoopid. After a wild and fun round of golf, Yesod williams sat down with Todd Juliano backstage at The Amp to discuss just how HARD and how much WORK goes into being a successful musician. Who doesn't want to be a rockstar, perform on stage in front of thousands of people and be PRAISED for your sound? Well when you hear how much DEDICATION & WORK goes into reaching the top, it might just be the line in the sand that some people won't cross to get there. Listen in as Yesod spills about playing the 2001 Warp Tour, his favorite MUST have when he's in Saint Augustine, and a REUNION TOUR ANNOUNCEMENT??? Thank you again to Yesod Williams, Miles Doughty, Oguer Ocon, and Andy Geib for playing a round of golf with us and giving us a peak behind the curtain at our very own, Saint Augustine Amphitheater. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/on-the-mic-tj/message
