Der Markt für Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLO) erschließt sich neue Kundenschichten. Bislang wendet sich die Produktkategorie der besicherten Kredite an rein institutionelle Investoren. Dementsprechend groß sind die Produkte – ein durchschnittlicher CLO liegt bei 500 Millionen Dollar mit Anleihen von mehreren hundert Unternehmen im Portfolio – und entsprechend groß sind die Tranchen, die gehandelt werden. Mit dem Aufkommen von CLO-ETFs können nun auch andere Kundenschichten in die Produktkategorie CLOs investieren. „Per se ist diese Entwicklung gar nicht schlecht“, sagt Ines Bartsch, die beim CLO-Spezialisten CIS Asset Management aus Eschborn bei Frankfurt für das Fondsmanagement zuständig ist. „Der Investor muss sich nur sehr genau das Risiko-Return-Profil jedes einzelnen CLO-ETFs genau anschauen.
