Topping the list was a $251,404.37 table game jackpot at Bally’s Las Vegas on the Strip. That player hit it big playing Blazing 7’s Mega Jackpot. Moving to the downtown area of Las Vegas, casinos such as Aliante, California and Fremont also tweeted out big jackpot wins. The latest storm made its presence known but it could not keep Mississippi coastal casinos down too long. As of Sunday, Nov. 1, only one of the 12 casinos in the area remained closed. Citing some safety concerns, Beau Rivage plans to reopen its doors on Thursday, Nov. 5. Some of the 11 were shutdown for a day or two. Both Palace Casino and Silver Slipper needed backup power for their cleanup efforts. The Golden Nugget Biloxi was able to remain open when Zeta made landfall last Wednesday night.

Recently, a New York resident reported a $350,000 jackpot at a Schenectady casino on Wednesday, Oct. 9. The lucky winner is from Adams, Massachusetts known only as Jeffrey. The big win came on a Mississippi Stud poker table at Rivers Casino & Resort.While playing at the table, Jeffrey placed a $5 side bet on the Progressive Jackpot. He was dealt a Queen and 10 of Diamonds. The dealer proceeded to turn over the Jack, King and Ace of Diamonds to complete the Royal Flush. The actual jackpot at that time was $352,778.His luck did not end there with Jeffrey snagging another $50,000 in winnings. He placed subsequent wagers on the Flop, Turn and River Cards which paid out at 500 to 1 odds. This big hit could be tied to a lucky shirt. The winner mentioned that his wife had given him a pineapple print dress shirt. He mentioned that she told him to wear the shirt to the casino for luck.Rivers Casino & Resort offers slots, video poker and Keno along with a wide array of table games. There is also a poker room and legal sports betting in the Rivers Sportsbook. A deadly shooting incident two years ago in Las Vegas killed 58 people and injured hundreds of others. The gunman was located in Mandalay Bay resort when he opened fire. Last week, it was announced that MGM has agreed to pay the victims up to $800 million to settle all lawsuits. The news was released in an Easy Mobile Casino dot com post.The settlement will resolve the hundreds of lawsuits that were connected to this tragedy. This was the deadliest mass shooting in modern US history. It took place during a country music concert on Oct. 1, 2017.The basis of most lawsuits was that MGM failed to protect the 22,000 concert goers attending that event. The suits also claimed that the shooter amassed his arsenal of weapons days leading up the tragic event. This was while he was staying at Mandalay Bay.The $800 million settlement is the third-biggest victims compensation fund in US history. Las Vegas law firm Eglet Adams represents nearly 2,500 victims. This includes the family members of the dead and wounded.
