U vážného filmu nebo divadla podle něj může kritik vysvětlovat, jestli se povedl záměr, ale u komedie je verdikt jednodušší: „Když se nikdo nesměje, tak jste to udělali blbě.“ Přesto nepatří k tvůrcům, kteří tvrdí, že recenze nečtou. „Já si je přečtu,“ přiznává a dodává, že ho mrzí, když kritici v jeho filmech nevidí to, co v nich vidí on sám. Tři Tygři ve filmu: JACKPOT podle něj vznikli jako pocta akčním bláznivým komediím, automobilovým honičkám, kaskadérským bitkám a humoru, na kterém sám vyrůstal. „My jsme vlastně natočili film pro děti, ale nikdo to neocenil,“ přiznává. U Srnek zase narazil na očekávání, že film Divadla Mír bude hlavně komedie. Čuba mluví o tom, že Divadlo Mír je podle něj „v pasti předsudku“. „To jsou ti kluci, co dělají ty skeče a teď se o něco pokouší,” interpretuje očekávání. Zároveň ale odmítá, že by komerční úspěch automaticky znamenal menší ambici. Naopak říká, že právě díky němu mohou vznikat věci, které by se jinak k divákům vůbec nedostaly. „Já dělám showbyznys. A v něm ten byznys prostě je,“ říká. Divadlo podle něj není startup, ale „druhý nejstarší byznys“, který má jasná pravidla a v Česku je pořád totálně neobsazený. Teď proto Čuba shání peníze na další velké projekty Divadla Mír: novou scénu za stovky milionů korun i ostravské kino Odeon, které chce proměnit v divadelní prostor. Při oslovování investorů ale zjistil, že pro řadu z nich je slovo divadlo skoro synonymem charity. „Nejčastější věta byla: charitu nedělám,“ popisuje. Postupně proto změnil způsob, jak o projektu mluví. Nevysvětluje ho jen jako investici do budovy, ale jako možnost zanechat odkaz a vlastnit něco, co se v Česku neobjevuje každý den. „Já prodávám možnost, jak můžete své kámoše fakt ohromit,“ říká o tom, jak oslovuje miliardáře. V rozhovoru se řeší i český film, veřejná podpora, fond kinematografie, hranice mezi uměním a byznysem i otázka, proč podle Čuby vzniká tolik filmů, „které lidi vůbec nezajímají“. Depuis son retour au pouvoir, Donald Trump a vu sa fortune presque tripler depuis son retour à la Maison Blanche. Celle-ci est passée de 2,3 à 6,5 milliards de dollars entre 2024 et 2026 selon Forbes. Et c'est principalement la cryptomonnaie qui fait exploser ses revenus. Selon sa déclaration financière, ses activités dans ce secteur pourraient lui avoir rapporté plus d'1,2 milliard de dollars. Une situation qui relance notamment les accusations de conflits d'intérêts, alors que le locataire de la Maison Blanche multiplie les initiatives pour favoriser le développement des monnaies numériques. De plus, le président américain continue de tirer profit de son image. Parmi les produits dérivés les plus médiatisés figure la « God Bless the USA Bible », dont plus de 208 000 exemplaires ont été vendus. À cela s'ajoutent des baskets, montres, parfums ou encore des guitares. Un empire économique colossal. La Cour suprême a toutefois infligé un revers important au président américain. Fin juin, elle a confirmé que les enfants nés aux États-Unis restent automatiquement citoyens américains, invalidant ainsi le décret de Donald Trump sur le droit du sol. Une décision symbolique, d'autant que trois des neuf juges de la Cour ont été nommés par lui lors de son premier mandat. Ce n'est pas la première fois que la haute juridiction freine ses ambitions. Quelques mois plus tôt, elle avait déjà limité une partie de sa politique sur les droits de douane, estimant que certaines mesures relevaient du Congrès. Ces décisions rappellent que, malgré sa majorité conservatrice, la Cour suprême conserve son indépendance vis-à-vis du pouvoir exécutif. On Saturday, April 22, 2023, just hours before the fraudulent Lotto Texas jackpot drawing, the jackpot estimate of $96 million was overstated by $1.8 million by Texas Lottery Officials. The final signature on the jackpot estimate form was then Lottery Director Gary Grief, who has since been indicted for the April 2023 Lotto Texas scheme. The inflated jackpot form resulted in the lottery scam organizers getting paid an extra $1.8 million, with those funds being diverted from the Texas Lottery School Fund.
