Topping the leaderboard of six filmmakers, Constable has won the crown and funding to produce his own project for the ABC. Baconsale has already ranked popular pizza chains and frozen pizzas on previous episodes and now we're topping it all off with, well, pizza toppings. We've compiled a list of 24 popular meats and veggies and, after quickly picking our preferred crust type and sauce, Joel, Kent, and Zack will rank everything from anchovies to tomatoes. Along the way, there may be some Little Sleazer's slander and multiple comparisons to the taste of dirt, but we hope you enjoy as we pile on the praise for the toppings we love and present the official pizza of our podcast. Don't be a jerk to bread, BOOK IT to that play button!

Jaws of Justice Radio investigates how we can achieve justice from a system of laws deeply rooted in economic, social and political inequality. We want to dispel misconceptions created by the news and entertainment industry, politicians and our educational system. We hope you will listen. On July 20th, 2026, our hour opens with host Bev Livingston speaking with her guest Jeremiah L. Barber, a Kansas City, Missouri cowboy who has spent years balancing the grit of the arena with the heavy realities of the justice system. For over six years he has worked on the front lines of corrections, navigating high-stress environments across the Kansas City Police Department, the Jackson County Detention Center, and the Missouri Department of Corrections. To truly understand the mechanics behind the walls, he also studied Criminal Justice at Metropolitan Community College's Longview campus. But his time in uniform wasn't just a job - it was a deeply eye-opening experience. As a Black man working in these facilities, it was incredibly tough to face the daily reality that roughly 70% of the incarcerated population were also Black men. Bearing witness to that systemic cycle firsthand left a lasting impact on how Jeremiah L. Barber views justice, healing, and community. Today, he has traded the steel doors for the open pasture and he finds peace and purpose alongside his four horses. After years of carrying the weight and stress of correctional work, working with these animals has become his way of healing and staying grounded. During the second half of our hour, host Terri Wilke will speak with Melvin Merritt, Founder, about Penny Mill. The Penny Mill Foundation is a Kansas City, Missouri based non-profit dedicated to empowering communities and bringing different ethnic and social groups together. Penny Mill regularly hosts free, large-scale community events in the area. Penny Mill's Community Empowerment Event is back this summer bringing fun and community building to the East side. The event in Blue Valley Park, 23rd and Topping, Kansas City MO features food and entertainment from 10 AM – 4 PM. Please tune in to hear about it! On Jaws of Justice, we examine how to find justice in our society. Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.

Walter Sterling navigates a smoke-filled sky to explore the bureaucratic conspiracy theories behind the Canadian wildfires before pivoting to JD Vance's controversial claim that UFO abductions are actually demonic encounters. The late-night journey takes a historical turn as Walter unearths the lost, technologically advanced empire of Tartaria, questioning if the grand 19th-century World's Fairs were actually a cover-up to erase free energy from the history books. Expect to question reality as Walter exposes the invisible elite who secretly rule America's economy from luxurious summer "cottages."Topping it all off, we get a hilarious reality check on why you should absolutely never bring your parents to a job interview.
This playlist is 73% vinyl friendly. Not bad. The ‘cack handed’ HMV 1507 portable radiogram. When from? It’s old. An online post from nearly two decades ago… ‘… came across this rather strange record player, though quite admirably I resisted buying it! The casing is a bit weird in that the lid seems to cover the entire thing rather than sitting on a bottom half. Then a closer look at the record deck itself made me wrinkle the noble brow in surprise. The pickup arm rests at 90 degrees to the usual resting place. It looks almost back to front! Unfortunately it didn’t have a maker’s or model name, so unless someone can identify it and leave a comment then it will have to remain a mystery for another ten years or so… ‘ And then a decade later, the answer… ‘Your cack handed record player is an HMV 1507 portable radiogram. The type C cartridges almost never work when found now. It’s a cack handed design alright. The radio part is a transformerless AC/DC design but the record deck motor is AC only. Any track marked * has been given either a tiny or a slightly larger 41 Rooms tweak/edit/chop and the occasional tune might sound a bit dodgy, quality-wise. On top of that, the switch between different decades and production values never helps in the mix here. Lyric of Playlist 153 Gil… by a mile! 00.00 (Intro) THE FLAMINGOS – Stars (Edit) – Unreleased demo – 1983. Episode #1 for info. 00.41 NEW ORDER – World (The Price Of Love) (Perfecto Mix) * – 12″ – London – 1993 Nineties house music legend and a fave remixer of the band, Paul ‘Perfecto’ Oakenfold adding some clout and drive to an already sparkling song that, if I’m honest, didn’t in its era always transfer successfully to a live setting. Some of what was floating Oakenfold’s DJ’ing boat back in the day. DJ mag article, 15.10.94 06.51 BESERK IN A HAYFIELD – Club Paris – Cold Waves Of Color Volume 3, v/artists LP – Color Disc – 2016 ‘Packaged in a fancy pants paper cut Whoever Beserk In A Hatfield was/is, their mid ’80s output has regularly featured on re-activated label, Color Disc’s compilations… and they’ll be back here. 10.03 CHRISTIAN PROMMER (feat JUSTINE HOERWARTH) – Tryin’ Times – Rhythmique Nocturne, 2LP – Compost – 2026 Tryin’ Times? Ain’t they just! Maybe not a stream of consciousness in the vocals/lyrics department, at times they’re on more like a bit of a languid ramble… up against busying keyboards that occasionally remind me of Keith Jarrett… but it works! Classy Prommer over some ‘transparent splatter’ vinyl, with a ‘silver particles print’, to boot. 15.24 WATER FROM YOUR EYES – Nights In Armor – It’s A Beautiful Place, LP – Matador – 2025 That’ll be tears then. A duo out of Brooklyn, New York with more motif biziness and on exclusive ‘Clear Blue Smoke’ (with a signed 12″x12″ print, 500 copies) or ‘Coke Bottle Green’ vinyl. 18.34 LA RISSA – Surrender – Download only – 2026 Still with duos but from Brooklyn to Bradford, and never has ‘I wanted to knock your fucking lights out… ‘ sounded so dark wave pop. 22.45 BLONDSHELL – Heart Has To Work So Hard – Download only – 2026 Vocalist, Sabrina Teitelbaum is for some unclear reason doing her best to physically show us her heart on the accompanying promo shot (upcoming Violins album cover?) and I get the feeling her sound is possibly influenced by a bunch of bands in the ’90’s and noughties that passed me by. Could be wrong. 25.53 CABARET VOLTAIRE – Just Fascination (live) – But What Time Is It Really? LP – MemeTune – 2026 Given that the whole album was ‘Recorded on the UK tour Oct-Nov 2025’ and I was at four of the six dates, there’s a 66% chance I was at this performance and that of each of the other tracks. And as it stands right now, I’ll be at the last three of their last ever gigs come October 2026. An iconic and groundbreaking band bowing out, forty four years after I first saw them, below in 1982. 29.46 A CERTAIN RATIO – And Then Again (Flight 12″ version) – 12″ b-side – Factory – 1980 Simon Topping’s vocal on any ACR is such an era capturing moment for me. I can nearly feel the people, ‘sense’ the places etc I knew then. Thanks to the band’s gigography it seems though this track is not one I heard them play live in the times (including the above) I saw them before Topping’s departure in late ’82. 32.14 LONELADY – The Catcher – Former Things, LP – Warp – 2021 Julie! New music, if you please! Best, Dec. 36.29 THE DURUTTI COLUMN – Liars – Renascent, LP – London – 2026 Vini Reilly’s first album in fifteen years… and with maybe more lyrics on this track than on his entire back catalogue! Good to have him back. 40.13 BROKEN SPINDLES – Induction – Fulfilled / Complete, LP – Saddle Creek – 2004 A 180g vinyl album maybe before they became all the rage? Dunno, I lose track of time. Anyway, Broken Spindles was one Joel Peterson and the many layers Fulfilled / Complete was the second of six album sized projects he/it/they released in the noughties. I often wonder what peeps do when they stop making music… and I always hope it’s ‘keep being artistic’ 43.01 RAE & CHRISTIAN with TEXAS Vs THE WORKS – Hush (The Works Remix) – Grand Central Vs The Works-The Soul Sessions Vol-1, download only – ?? – 2026 The ‘Texas’ being wholly that band’s driver Charleen Spiteri, and here with a tad more motion/movement/swing than the original beaut. Hush is still lush. 46.51 GIL SCOTT-HERON (with PRETTY PURDIE and THE PLAYBOYS) – 7″ – The Revolution Will Not Be Televised – Flying Dutchman – 1971 Boy, would he have something to say if he were still alive. 49.50 SHY FX & KINGH – La Prima (B-side) – Download only – 2026 With a third of the utuuuube views that the dub-step’y and longer version has attained in the two months since release but this funkier take is the proper version. 51.16 DOROTHY ASHBY – Soul Vibrations * – 7″ – Cadet – 1968 In her time, a jazz harpist of some standing, with both the album (1968’s Afro-Harping) this cinematic feel track leads off and the single itself now costing serious money in their original form. 54.24 PATRICK COWLEY (feat PEGGY GIBBONS) – Ice Age – Hard Ware, 2LP – Dark Entries – 2025 Whether Ms Gibbons sounding a lot like Donna Summer was a coincidence or Cowley ideally would have liked the latter to get involved on this simple plodder I’ll never know but at least he got to later remix I Feel Love. 01.00.27 SHEILA CHANDRA – Satyam, Shivam, Sundaram – The Struggle, LP – Indiepop – 1985 After her Monsoon ‘Ever So Lonely’ days but she was still crossing over. 01.05.09 JAZZ THE GLASS – MeMorY PalacE – Download only – 2026 Dunbar in the area! Averaging a 41 Rooms appearance roughly every ten shows but in case there’s any suggestion of nepotism, with a whole bunch of tunes I haven’t played. 01.08.12 JC-001 – All My Children (Mother’s P-Phunk Mix) (41 Rooms – edit) * – 12″ – Anxious – 1993 A massive 41 Rooms edit to be honest… and if I was ever to have carried on DJ’ing, I’d have maybe opened any set with the a cappella of ‘All my children now… ‘ An idea to others? You’re welcome. 01.11.39 SIOUXSIE and THE BANSHEES – Happy House – 7″ – Polydor – 1980 Siouxsie once said of this, the band’s second top 20 hit: “It is sarcastic. In a way, like television, all the media, it is like adverts, the perfect family whereas it is more common that husbands beat their wives. There are mental families really but the projection is everyone smiling, blond hair, sunshine, eating butter without being fat and everyone perfect“. 01.15.03 EYELESS IN GAZA – (Across The) Pulse Of The Rain – Mania Sour, CD only – Ambivalent Scale – 2014 Often performed live in early EIG gigs but it took thirty plus years for them to lay down a studio version… and apologies for the slightly brutal intro I edited. 01.17.25 THE SOUND – Unwritten Law (Mike Read session, BBC Radio 1, Oct 1980) – The BBC Recordings, 2CD only – Renascent – 2004 Those BBC sessions – produced in just a few hours – very often turned up superior versions and though I’d possibly be outvoted on this, with more edge in the production and presence in the vocal I prefer this take to the one on their debut album, Jeopardy. 01.21.00 MISTY IN ROOTS – Wise & Foolish (John Peel Session) – The John Peel Sessions, CD only – Strange Fruit – 1995 For me, they were absolutely flying in their earliest (1979-1980) JP sessions, with Wise… being from the third of the nine they did for the great man. 01.25.49 MOUTH – Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea – Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea, 12″ EP – Emotional Rescue – 2016 Released thirty five years late(r) but added here to their only ever releases (2 singles)… and that’s definitely Mark Stewart ranting in there at the end. 01.32.24 BLACK UHURU (feat MICHAEL ROZE) – Party – 7″ – Ajang – 2000 A tough reworking of the band’s Party Next Door from 1983. 01.35.43 LADY BLACKBIRD vs CROOKED MAN – When The Game Is Played On You – Crooked Spirituals 12″ EP – Foundation – 2025 The power of electronics – in this case Sheffield-based Richard Barratt – reeeeally adding to a great vocal. 01.41.09 CARON WHEELER – In Our Love (Club Remix) – 12″ – EMI Records USA – 1992 One of a number of tunes she released after her Soul II Soul days proving she was making some top tunes post Jazzie B. 01.44.58 MARXMAN – Theme From Marxman – 33 Revolutions Per Minute, LP – Talkin’ Loud – 1993 ‘Marxist Hip Hop group, formed 1989 in London. Consisting of Bristol MC’s Hollis Byrne (H) and Stephen Brown (MC Phase) and Oisin Lunny and DJ K One from Ireland‘. – Discogs Were they the first hip hop act to play on the ‘revolutions per minute’ thing? 01.48.11 TALKING HEADS – Take Me To The River – 2×7″ – Sire – 1978 David Byrne sounding in less of a hurry to get to the water than Al Green on the original. 01.52.58 SOUL II SOUL – Back To Life (Club Mix) * – 12″ – Ten Records – 1989 Just a couple of tunes along, Caron Wheeler returns with the song she’ll always be remembered for. Nerves are being frayed in Venezuela with another strong 5.6 magnitude aftershock today - following the massive earthquakes earlier in the week. Grimaldi's, sitting in the shadows of the Brooklyn Bridge, serves authentic, coal-fired brick oven pizza, sought out by tourists, locals and celebs like Ilir Sela, the founder and CEO of Slice. As an Albanian raised in Staten Island, pizza was Ilir's destiny. That's contracted business not yet recognized as revenue. 00:18 — Some people refer to it as RPO. It's also known as pipeline or backlog. But with what Oracle reported for Q4, its AI and cloud backlog, pipeline, or RPO is now the largest in the world: $638 billion. It's even bigger than Microsoft's. This reveals a lot about who's got momentum into the future. 01:02 — So, as I said, Oracle's RPO for the quarter ended May 31 was $638 billion, up 363%. A couple of months ago, when Microsoft reported its fiscal Q3 and calendar Q1 numbers for the period ended March 31, it reported RPO of $627 billion, up 99%. So, Oracle beats them slightly on total RPO, but look at the difference in the growth rate: 99% versus 363%. 02:20 — But when we flip the arrow of time from the recent past, which revenue reflects, into the future, that's where we see Oracle is just winning an outlandish share of the business going forward, even more than Microsoft. We're seeing more and more of that pipeline, or RPO, over time convert to revenue for both of these companies. 03:40 — These are multiplier effects, and again, my point here is about who's growing faster and who is moving into leadership positions going forward. Clearly, as Microsoft and AWS led the first chapter of the cloud, here in the AI chapter, the leaders jumping out in front, growing faster, and finding new ways of doing things are Oracle and Google Cloud. 04:12 — Speaking of AWS, how does it fit into this whole RPO tale of the tape? AWS refers to this as backlog, and in its most recent quarter, ended March 31, it said that its backlog was $364 billion, up 49%. For Google Cloud, its backlog is $462 billion, growing at 98%. So clearly, all three companies are outperforming AWS in this backlog/RPO space. Visit Cloud Wars for more.

Leave us a messge!!This week's episode started with a post inside our growing FLR community at FLRSkool.com, and honestly, it challenged some assumptions I had about the phrase “topping from the bottom.”The post used a simple analogy: if someone is handing you the keys to a vehicle, wouldn't you want all the information you need to drive it successfully? That led to a bigger question:Is sharing needs, desires, boundaries, and preferences really topping from the bottom… or is it simply healthy communication? In this episode, we explore the fine line between a submissive trying to control a dynamic and a submissive providing information that helps a dominant make informed decisions. We talk about how communication evolves in long-term relationships, why needs and desires change over time, and how check-ins can strengthen rather than weaken a Female-Led Relationship. We also revisit a topic we've discussed before: confidence. New dominants often worry they're doing things wrong, while submissives may struggle to express needs without feeling like they're directing the relationship. Somewhere in the middle is a conversation that needs to happen. One of the biggest takeaways from this discussion is that communication is not the enemy of dominance. Sharing information, discussing discomfort, and talking openly about desires doesn't automatically mean someone is topping from the bottom. The difference often comes down to intent, trust, and how the conversation is approached. If you're building a Female-Led Relationship, navigating power exchange, or simply trying to communicate better with your partner, this episode offers a thoughtful perspective on where leadership ends and collaboration begins.Mentioned in This EpisodeThe discussion that inspired this episode came directly from our community at FLRSkool.com, where couples and individuals are sharing real-world experiences, asking questions, and helping each other grow. Republican state legislative leaders made headlines in recent days by announcing that they have finally reached agreement on a new state budget. But even as that long overdue news was being made, the lawmakers also moved to advance a series of state constitutional amendments that would, if enacted, have massive implications for future state budgets and core public services. Topping the list: a proposal to slash the already existing cap on state income taxes and another to cap local property taxes — moves that would almost certainly further eviscerate the state's already torn and threadbare public education system. Earlier this week, to get a better handle on the amendments and the new budget and what all of it means for the state going forward, Newsline caught up with one of the state's preeminent nonpartisan fiscal policy experts – the executive director of the North Carolina Budget & Tax Center, Alexandra Sirota. Isabelle Stadden had been a child protege in the pool, representing the USA on the international stage multiple times over, accruing numerous accolades well before she even reached college. Attending Cal Berkeley, Stadden continued to rake in awards and honors, becoming an NCAA All-American many times over during her 5 seasons with the Golden Bears. Weeks after completing her undergraduate degree, Stadden competed at the 2025 US World Trials. In what was supposed to be a springboard for her pro career, Stadden had what she says was one of the worst meets of her life. Her performances in Indianapolis were lackluster and resulted in her first time missing the USA National Team in 7 seasons. After that, Stadden took a long time away from the pool. 6 months removed from her last competition, the Minnesota native decided to give it one more go around, this time doing it for herself rather than feeling the external pressures of performing for a team or to satisfy others' expectations. She moved to arguably the top women's program in the country, the University of Virginia, to train under the 2024 Olympic women's head coach, Todd DeSorbo. Just 4 months into training in Charlottesvillle, she went a 2:05.9 in the 200 back in early March, dropping over a second off of her previous PB of 2:07.28 set in May of 2021. 7 weeks later at the Ft Lauderdale Open, Stadden struck gold again, touching in 2:04.37, becoming the #4 performer in history and #1 in the world this year. Listen to Stadden as she shares her perspective on returning to her sport refreshed, reenergized, and ready for more, looking towards the end of the summer and beyond.

The subject of whether you should top your pepper plants can bring on a pretty strong debate among gardeners. That's because this is one of those topics where the answer genuinely is: it depends. And I mean that in a very specific, evidence-based way that comes down to two things: your climate and your pepper type. I'll be straight with you, I do not top my peppers. We are in a zone 6b in west central Missouri and our season is just short enough that for our large sweet peppers, by the time a topped plant recovered and loaded up with new fruit, I'd be in a race with the first frost, so I don't love my odds of winning. And for our smaller peppers, both hot and sweet, they branch naturally. They've never needed my help getting bushy and they generally end up so loaded with fruit there's no need for me to create new growing points. But that does NOT mean topping is wrong. In fact, if your growing season is long enough and you are growing the right type of pepper, there is a solid, research-grounded argument for it and I want to make that argument fairly today. Let's dig in! References: Illinois Extension (University of Illinois) — Frillman, N. Matt Topping of Norfolk, VA's COVA Brewing has a knack for winning medals with his fruit beer, but they aren't what you think—from the full fruit refermentation to the light herbal spicing, he's found an equation that's equally successful on draft in the taproom and on the final table at World Beer Cup. From slightly higher pH to low mash temps for fermentable wort to frozen purée to Ebbegarden kveik for the primary fermentation, he's built a systemic approach to both the base gose and to the fruits and spices he layers on top. In this episode, Topping discusses: using Lactobacillus Plantarum from Goodbelly for souring wort low mash temperatures for greater fermentability using frozen rather than aseptic purée to maintain the fresh edge of fruit flavor strategically adding salt and hibiscus in the brite to dial in perfect amounts cleverly pairing fruit and spice flavors like rosemary lemon, passionfruit hibiscus, and more proper temperature for herb steeping brewing with difficult ingredients like watermelon and strawberry controlling finished pH for greater function And more. The great cliché about our sector is that while business trends come and go – it's the people who remain the constant. Today's guest is someone whose business follows this philosophy to the letter. Dan Topping is the CEO of London-focused, publicly-listed private equity firm B.P. Marsh with just under 20 years in the business. The firm he leads is a household name in the London Market with a 30-year often idiosyncratic pedigree backing entrepreneurs in the intermediary segment. Countless brokers and MGAs, including Howden and Nexus have benefitted from the investment and counsel from this singular institution. Given the highly-focused nature of what B.P. Marsh does, Dan and his colleagues will have seen almost every early-stage investment opportunity in the London market of the last 20 years. That gives a kaleidoscopic perspective and that knowledge and understanding seeps through every pore of Dan's being. The prime job of a podcast like this is to help tease out specialist knowledge accumulated in the market and share it with you the listener. I have known Dan for almost all of his time at the firm and that made this interview really relaxed and much more revealing than most. If there ever were any trade secrets about what has driven the compound growth of this impressive highly-focused business, they won't be secrets after this podcast. If you want to know what makes entrepreneurialism in the specialty insurance sector tick, this is the place to come. Together we'll examine some of the surprising trends Dan is seeing in what many would view as an ultra-consolidated intermediary segment. Dan is as eloquent and relaxed as he is knowledgeable and the time will fly by. And perhaps you too will be inspired and emboldened to dare strike out on your own entrepreneurial journey. Clichés come about because by and large they are expressing an underlying universal truth. A quick listen and I think you'll agree that Dan is living proof that it really is the people that make the market what it is. Charles Schwab's Joe Mazzola explains how investors are adapting to a "defensive-led" market into a strong risk-on pivot. The AI trade's strong rally into overbought territory is something he's watching, as he sees a notable pullback being stronger than many investors expect. Joe looks into market breadth to explain his concerns. On Intel (INTC), Joe makes the case that the stock is priced for perfection. ======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day.Options involve risks and are not suitable for all investors.
