Sandy Danto, talented comedian and beloved friend of the show returns to Occasionally Awesome to promote what is without question the most unique comedy special to ever be filmed. Before he can film this special he will need our help. Sandy has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to finance this special. Listen to the episode for what he's doing, what he needs and how we can help. If the title alone suggests anything, this will be one of the coolest, craziest most fun Kickstarters you will ever have the pleasure of helping fund.

A listener recommended a list for Kevin and Nick to discuss called '13 Worst Songs from the 90s.' What the guys discovered upon reading it is that the list is full of songs that are actually really cool. They spend the episode defending them and tearing into Vice and other publications who decide one week something is cool and the next week that same thing is awful all in the name of filling website column space. Subscribe to Occasionally Awesome on iTunes and rate and review the podcast. Every little bit helps!
Kliph Nesteroff, comedy historian and calssic showbiz expert (his Twitter handle speaks for itself: @ClassicShowbiz) just wrote a book called The Comedians: Drunks, Thieves, Scoundrels and the Hundred Year History of American Comedy. Kevin, Nick and Leslie Grossman had a little tiff on Twitter about the best flavors of ice cream, so what better way to resolve their differences than by buying their favorite flavors of mint chip ice cream and devoting an entire episode of Occasionally Awesome to taste testing them and figuring out which brand wins.
One of Occasionally Awesome's best friends, Jayson Thibault returns to the show (and LA) after a five month hiatus. Jayson comes by to catch up and talk about Chicago, and the question Nick and Kevin ambush him with: what are your desert island top 5 songs. Jayson points out that Nick and Kevin have yet to do their episode on the subject, then he complies and comes up with some of his own. The conversation jumps from music to the 80s to Bill Cosby back to music and in many other fun directions. We love @theteeb and so should you. Enjoy.
Jerry Ferrara is back! Jerry is Occasionally Awesome's first Legacy Guest (has appeared three times). Today Jerry comes by to talk about his obsession with sneakers, specifically the Air Jordan. He has an encyclopedic knowledge of the brand and shoe. This episode is very heavy on the sneaker talk, but there are a lot of cool stories from Jerry's childhood as well as how he handles getting free stuff now that he is a successful and famous actor. All that and more!
Kevin and Nick visit Barnsdall Art Park for a free exhibit featuring the work of artist Robert Williams and a retrospective on the magazine he founded, Juxtapoz. Nick and Kevin share a fondness for graphic t-shirts. They have obsessed over them since they were kids so they sat down and went through all the shirts they either owned or wanted since they were kids. A lot of nostalgia in this episode as No Fear, Hypercolor, Bones Brigade, Metallica, Iron Maiden The Far Side and many more are covered. Also, stay tuned at the end for an announcement about a t-shirt that may or may not be about the Occasionally Awesome podcast.
Mens fashion and style are two of the recurring themes Occasionally Awesome covers so why not have a professional stylist on to discuss it in detail. Ilaria Urbinati has built an impressive career outfitting major celebrities such as Bradley Cooper, Ian Somerhalder, Richard Armitage, Armie Hammer and more with red carpet wear and press tour outfits. Nick and Kevin talk with her about getting her start working on The L Word, opening the clothing boutique Confederacy in Los Angeles and how she went from a single client to a huge roster of A list celebs who help dictate the trends in mens fashion. Later in the episode Kevin and Nick ask specific advice about their fashion and the styles they see in the neighborhoods they live in. Fun and really informative episode. The intro song for this episode is 'Come Pick Me Up,' by Ryan Adams.
Jeff Richards is a multi-talented performer; sketch, improv, standup, impressions (he pulls out a few near the end) and now music. Occasionally Awesome invited Jeff over to talk about his latest project; making music. The songs Jeff has been making and releasing are hard to pin down to any genre. They're hilarious and interesting but in no way like the comedic parody songs most comedians do. You just have to watch and listen. The intro song for this episode features his song 'Muscle Bitch' and the end of the episode has the song 'Def Wanna F' in its entirety. Please sit back and enjoy this conversation with one of the most talented comedians the Los Angeles comedy scene and The Comedy Store has to offer. After the episode make sure to visit www.tastyjeff.com to see more of his work.

You guys asked for another music episode and here it is. Not only does Occasionally Awesome devote this entire episode to 90s music, but we do it with a very special guest who was there through it all: Max Collins from Eve 6! Eve 6 became a very successful band in the 90s and since then, Max has continued to write and produce music, most recently a solo album titled 'Honey from the Icebox.' The guys spend this episode hanging out remembering their favorite bands and songs from the era; everything from Counting Crows to NOFX is covered. Max also shares a lot of great stories about the music industry and how Eve 6 got signed, started touring, and working with a lot of other great artists from that time period. If you’re into music, and grew up in the 90s, this episode is for you. One more thing: make sure to check out Max’s brand new single ‘Sports Bar’ from his new solo album 'Honey from the Icebox.' It's available on Spotify, Rdio, iTunes, YouTube and most anywhere music can be streamed and purchased.
If you listen to Ari Shaffir’s Skeptic Tank and Punch Drunk (which you should), you know Nick and Ari had a one on one basketball showdown in which the loser has to wear a pair of socks that the winner masturbates into (yes, you read that right). The play by play of the game is titled ‘Bag of Bets: Basketball’ and is available on the Punch Drunk podcast. Also available today is this episode of Occasionally Awesome where the socks are delivered and the loser wears them on the air. The game itself and what it's like to wear something this disgusting is discussed at length. Please enjoy this gross, crusty, and hilarious episode. The intro song for this episode is 'Babyhead,' by Diarrhea Planet.
Occasionally Awesome’s first bonus episode!! Since Kevin and Nick will be doing Jayson Thibault’s (@theteeb) 3 for 30 show at The Pasadena Ice House along with Stuart Thompson this weekend, they decided why not have the both of them on to hang out talk and talk about life, comedy and the upcoming show. This is a fun episode that covers a lot of ground; relationships, the value of celebrity, whether or not males and females can just be friends and more. ALSO- if you’re in the L.A area Saturday 3/29, come watch Nick, Jayson and Kevin all do half hour sets along with Stuart who will be opening and hosting the night. The intro song for this episode is ‘Seasons (waiting for You)’ by Future Islands.
Steve Simeone is a hilarious comedian who brings stories from his childhood to the stage and to this week's episode of Occasionally Awesome. The guy's hang out and think back to causing mischief as teenagers and how they still manage to do so as grownups, except now we're in charge and can eat all the ice cream we want! Also covered are how to fix customer service, the joys of air hockey and where to get a great Philly cheesesteak. This episode's intro song is 'Packing Blankets,' by Eels.
