HER Style Podcast | Buy Less, Shop Smarter, Build a Wardrobe You Love
Hey friend, today's episode looks a little different than I originally planned. My idea was to walk you through my fall closet edit—what I'm letting go of and why. But when I actually sat down with my wardrobe this weekend, I realized…I don't have much to get rid of right now. And that revelation got me thinking… maybe you don't either. It's easy to believe that every new season requires a big overhaul. You've probably heard my advice to clean out your closet at least twice a year, if not more. But sometimes, forcing yourself into a closet audit is unnecessary. And when you're already busy and maybe even feeling a little overwhelmed by your wardrobe and life as it is—sometimes the smartest move is to do less, not more. So today, I want to share why you might not need to do a seasonal closet edit, what you can do instead, and what I'm personally focusing on this season to show you how practical and freeing it can be when you work on your wardrobe in a way that's customized for you. I'll also reveal what I am focusing on this fall, so you can see how I'm filling gaps without forcing myself through unnecessary steps. By the end of this episode, you'll know whether you need a full reset—or if you can save time and energy by focusing on what really matters. CannCon and Chris Paul team up to cut through the noise on day three of the government shutdown. From Trump's meeting with Russ Vought and the unprecedented chance to slash bloated federal agencies, to Cash Patel's bombshell confirmation that Pelosi refused National Guard support on January 6th, this episode is stacked with revelations. The hosts expose the FBI's covert presence inside the Capitol, Pelosi's HBO film crew, and the media's role in covering up the inside job. They also dig into Trump's strategic trolling of Project 2025 critics, the Democrats' crumbling narratives, and what a true “return to normalcy” in America should look like. With sharp analysis and no-holds-barred banter, CannCon and Chris Paul make clear that the dam is breaking, and the Deep State is running out of time.
BT and Sal dive into the Mets coaching chaos, questioning why Carlos Mendoza was spared while other familiar names, including the hitting and pitching coaches, were fired. The duo then moves to their NFL Week 5 "Perfect Parlay" picks, with Sal laying heavy chalk on the Cardinals, Hoff surprisingly backing the Giants, and BT trusting the Broncos. The segment wraps with a "Call of the Day" debating the merits of Yankees manager Aaron Boone and a "Player to Watch" spotlight on the Giants' Darius Slayton, all punctuated by an awkward and flat joke attempt by Hoff that gets roasted by the whole crew.

You're listening to American Ground Radio with Stephen Parr and Louis R. Avallone. This is the full show for October 1, 2025. 0:30 In a massive Illinois ICE operation called Operation Midway Blitz, over 800 illegal alien criminals were arrested in one coordinated sweep. These weren’t first-time visa overstays. We’re talking about gang members, drug traffickers, sexual predators, and violent offenders—people no community should be forced to live next to. Yet, thanks to Illinois’ sanctuary policies, these criminals were shielded from removal until federal agents stepped in. We break down the operation and why the stakes are so high for Americans and our safety. 9:44 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. Democrats voted to shut down the Federal Government last night, repeatedly voting against passing a continuing resolution to keep the government funded through November 7th. The Trump administration is suing LA County in California for violating the 2nd Amendment. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services department announced the results of Operation Twin Shield. 12:30 Get Brain Reward from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 13:30 We unpack the new American Pope's criticism of President Donald Trump where he suggested that enforcing immigration laws is somehow at odds with being pro-life. We also dive into the controversy surrounding the Archdiocese of Chicago honoring Senator Dick Durbin, a Catholic politician who openly supports abortion, with a “lifetime achievement award.” 16:30 We ask American Mamas Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson about parents who put their kids in travel sports. Are they just living vicariously through their kids? Our American Mamas say there’s a lot more to the story. From the sacrifices families make, to the friendships built on the road, to the competitive edge required just to make a Texas high school team, travel sports can be a pathway to scholarships, memories, and life lessons. If you'd like to ask our American Mamas a question, go to our website, AmericanGroundRadio.com/mamas and click on the Ask the Mamas button. 23:00 In Memphis, President Trump has deployed the National Guard alongside federal agents—working with Tennessee’s Republican Governor Bill Lee—to crack down on violent crime. Within just 48 hours, the operation led to 53 arrests and 20 illegal guns seized. But instead of welcoming the results, Democrats remain silent—or outright protest. Why? We break down why the left won’t credit Trump’s actions, the political games behind crime and safety, and how real families in Memphis are the ones who stand to benefit. 26:45 New voter registration data from Decision Desk HQ reveals a stunning shift: since Election Day last year, over 2.1 million names have been purged from U.S. voter rolls. We Dig Deep into what the numbers really mean, why voter roll maintenance matters, and how the push for automatic registration could be fueling fraudulent enrollments. We also examine why Democrats resist voter ID laws, the risks to election integrity, and how trust in the system erodes when the numbers don’t add up. 32:30 Get NSorb from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Go to vni.life/agr and use the promo code AGR20. 33:30 The Biden-era green agenda just took a major hit — and it’s Democrats’ own fault. The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has announced the cancellation of $8 billion in green energy funding, wiping out a huge chunk of what critics call “slush funds for climate activists.” Democrats refused to pass a continuing resolution, betting that a government shutdown would hurt Republicans and President Trump politically. Instead, OMB Director Russ Vought wielded the budget axe — and the cuts landed squarely on the Green New Deal. 36:35 Plus, having a sense of purpose may protect your brain health, and that's a Bright Spot. In new study in the Journal of Geriatric Psychology, researchers found that people who felt their lives had meaning were less likely to develop dementia or Alzheimer’s even if they carried the APOE4 gene, a major risk factor. 40:30 Massive immigration raids are underway in Chicago, and former ICE Director Tom Homan says the strategy is simple: target the cities that resist federal immigration enforcement the most. From Los Angeles to Chicago, so-called “sanctuary cities” have become magnets for illegal immigration, gangs, and crime—and Tom Homan is saying "Whoa!" 42:30 And we finish off with a school community who came together to support their school's security guard. In this explosive episode, we dig into how the government shutdown is exposing Democrats' true priorities — putting illegal immigrants ahead of their own voter base. From Maxine Waters' stumbling answers on healthcare for noncitizens to shocking Social Security and Medicaid numbers, the mask is slipping. We also cover Pete Hegseth's hard-hitting stand against “woke” policies inside the military, from drag shows on bases to radical recruitment campaigns. This episode connects the dots between the border crisis, taxpayer-funded benefits, and the fight to reclaim America's institutions. Buckle up — you've never heard it broken down like this.

What if you could become more organized just by shifting how you see yourself? For the full transcript, notes, links, and more, go to: https://simplysquaredaway.com/129 In this first-ever co-hosted episode, I team up with another brilliant organizing coach to nerd out about mindset, identity, and systems. We realized we share a foundational belief: it all starts with how you think about yourself. Do you believe you're disorganized? That identity could be the very thing keeping you stuck. We get into all of it, from alter egos and decluttering shame to the reason containers aren't the solution (yes, even the cute ones from Target). Plus, we each share our own organizing methods: mine is called SPACE, and hers involves the Four P's and the Amber method. We also talk about why it feels impossible to stay organized, what to do when your brain rejects “I'm extremely organized", and the tiny tweak that makes a HUGE difference in your environment. What you'll learn: How identity and mindset impact your organizing success The SPACE Method: A 5-step system to create and maintain order The Four P's Framework: Prep, Purge, Process, Protect The Amber Method for mindfulness while decluttering Tips for using alter egos to break through mental clutter The power of linking maintenance to routines you already do This is a mix of Amber and me, all wrapped up in one conversation.

Jessica Kriegel expects the labor market to worsen over the next two months. She thinks big companies have “overhired” and are laying off those workers as they wait to see if AI can replace a larger percentage of jobs. She notes that losses in retail, leisure and hospitality reflect a consumer spending pullback. She discusses how tariffs and potential rate cuts could affect the economy, and how the government can use them. “We are now in unknown territory… [we need] that muscle of adaptability.”======== Schwab Network ========Empowering every investor and trader, every market day. Actor Ger Jordan joined us this week and as the weather starts to get cooler he reminisced with us about collecting and the Halloween celebrations that were more like The Purge growing up in O'Devaney Gardens.Ger opened up about his struggles with gambling and how he turned his life around when he met the mother of his eight children and went after his dream of being an actor even landing a role in Fair City. We couldn't let the opportunity go by without getting Ger to do a few prank calls, and we'll be honest when we heard tears on the other line we nearly walked out of the studio... It's episode 301, and thank you for accepting my invitation. Now tell me, why haven't you delivered the filthy swine to me yet? The Purge (2013) tells the story of The Sandin Family, who shelter in their home-fortress on the evening of 'The Purge'. Following some kind of revolution in the USA, there is now an annual 'purge', where laws are suspended and violence is legal (and even encouraged). All seems fine, until their home-security (and morals) are put to the test. We talk about the best career for someone in a Purge-type situation (painting and decorating?); the limitations of security that is deterrent-only; and the all-round benefits of an impromptu camping trip. Whatever happens, one thing's for sure: Incoming reports show this year's Purge has been the most successful to date, with the most murders committed. Next time, we attempt to Bring Her Back (2025)

DryCleanerCast a podcast about Espionage, Terrorism & GeoPolitics
Flags are flying across Britain—but behind the bunting lurks a far-right campaign. Chris and Matt kick off Season 10 with a look at "Operation Raise the Colours," the extremist-led push to turn patriotism into intimidation. From there, they move to Ukraine, where the US has signaled willingness to offer critical support to a potential European-led peacekeeping force, even as Trump hedges on a deal with Moscow. Next, Tulsi Gabbard ignites turmoil at the top of the intelligence community, revoking dozens of clearances—including an undercover CIA officer's—raising fears of politicization and damage to US alliances. Finally, the guys head to New Zealand, where a soldier's espionage case exposes ties to far-right groups and highlights how extremists exploit culture wars from both sides. On this week's episode, Kyle runs through some early thoughts on Panini's new Silhouette product!
Greta Thunberg is back and the only thing worth talking about is her new hairstyle. The United Kingdom is having an immigration problem. No, not just Muslims. Hollywood types. Honestly, we're not sure which is worse. This weekend, a number of CDC employees resigned in protest. We see this as an absolute win. Not so great; their next stop is probably the board of directors for a big pharma company.GUEST: Josh FirestineLink to today's sources: https://www.louderwithcrowder.com/sources-september-2-2025Buy the OG Mug Club Mug on Crowder Shop now! https://crowdershop.com/products/og-mug-club-mugLet my sponsor American Financing help you regain control of your finances. In this deeply moving and inspiring episode of the Tough Girl Podcast, we're joined by Sophie Pierce, a 32-year-old social worker from Pembrokeshire, West Wales, who made history in March 2025 as the first person with Cystic Fibrosis to row an ocean. Diagnosed at just 3 months old, Sophie has lived with the challenges of a genetic condition that affects her lungs and digestive system and once carried a life expectancy of under 30 years. But Sophie's story is not defined by limitation—it's a bold testament to resilience, courage, and the power of hope. From working in fostering services to hiking the Welsh coast with her dogs, swimming in cold water, and sleeping in her campervan—Sophie has never shied away from living life on her terms. In this episode, she opens up about the life-changing impact of the Kaftrio drug trial, how she overcame mental health struggles, and what it truly meant to embrace life beyond the horizon by rowing across the Atlantic. She shares the highs and lows of the row: the months of preparation, team dynamics, magical moments at sea, and how it feels to return to "normal life" after an extraordinary adventure. Sophie's message is powerful and universal—you are capable of so much more than you think. If you're looking for inspiration, perspective, and an honest exploration of living—and thriving—with a life-limiting condition, this episode is not to be missed. New episodes of the Tough Girl Podcast drop every Tuesday at 7 AM (UK time)! Make sure to subscribe so you never miss the inspiring journeys and incredible stories of tough women pushing boundaries. Tommy & Ben dig into the FBI's raid on John Bolton and how Pete Hegseth's firing of the head of the Defense Intelligence Agency fits into Trump's ongoing ideological purges of the US intelligence community. They discuss Israel's criminal “double tap” strike on Gaza's Nasser Hospital, The Free Press's sanctimonious reaction to criticism of their reporting about starvation in Gaza, Israeli Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu's constant moving of the goalposts on a ceasefire deal, why Trump's meeting South Korean president Lee Jae Myung was humiliating for America, Trump's lies and delusions about being a peacemaker, the latest on Iran negotiations, why Australia expelled Iranian diplomats, and Putin's answer to Eurovision. Then, Tommy speaks with Franklin Nossiter, Sahel Analyst at the International Crisis Group, about the complex dynamics in a region where military juntas, jihadists, and foreign powers are all jostling for influence. For a closed-captioned version of this episode, click here.
