Christ turned over tables at the Temple and upset the religious order. He did that the day after Palm Sunday according to Matthew Mark and Luke. Paul symbolically is doing the same thing. Paul’s imprisoned for what happened at the Temple. However, in his court battles he’s managed to turn the tables. He’s turned the tables on the Sanhedrin because he’s exploited their animosity towards him and each other concerning the Resurrection. He’s turned the tables on Felix because he’s given him true implications to dread, concerning the Resurrection of the just, and in Felix’s case, the unjust.

Today we will learn from our text that there is one matter more important than all others, and it cannot be put off. It is what the Prophet Amos had said centuries earlier, "Prepare to meet your God"
