Tim Thompson, founder and Chief Revolution Thinker at Rev.Think, shares his extraordinary journey from knocking on Hollywood doors without a resume to becoming the world's leading consultant for creative entrepreneurs. Starting with a bold door-to-door job hunt that landed him roles on the American Music Awards and Oscars, Tim discovered his superpower: shame resilience and the ability to enable others' creative success. After burning out in Hollywood's digital revolution while working on iconic projects like the "Seven" title sequence at Imaginary Forces, Tim made a life-changing decision to attend seminary and rebuild his approach to supporting creative professionals. This spiritual awakening led him to develop his "creative must win" philosophy and the understanding that the creative muse lives in the same brain space as fight-or-flight responses.Tim reveals his framework for creative career longevity through four stages: Artist (talent-based), Auteur (leading others), Curator (promoting others), and Collector (giving it all away for influence). He explains why AI threatens talent-based careers but enhances creativity-driven ones, and how his Rev Community of 700+ business owners represents an industry evolution toward openness, collaboration, and "other-people-ness."Key TakeawaysShame resilience is a creative superpower - The ability to put yourself out there without fear of rejection opens doors that talent alone cannotCreative must win mentality - Support systems should work alongside creatives, not against them, financing their vision while handling logistics and problemsThe muse lives in fight-or-flight mode - Creative entrepreneurs need someone to "guard their back" while they enter the vulnerable state where inspiration strikesFame, fortune, freedom without compromise - These are the three core motivations for entering the creative industry, and careers should be strategically built around oneTechnology follows technique - Understand the creative purpose and method first, then implement technological solutions that support the visionTalent vs. Creativity distinction - Talent can be replaced by AI or younger generations; creativity involves seeing and creating the future, which cannot be automatedOther-people-ness is essential - Long-term success requires generosity, community building, and abundance mentality rather than hoarding opportunitiesPermission granted mindset - Stop asking for permission and start granting it to yourself to take bold creative risks and pursue ambitious visionsIndustry evolution toward openness - The creative industry has matured from secretive competition to collaborative community sharing and mutual supportSpiritual grounding enables longevity - Taking time to reassess values and purpose can prevent burnout and create more sustainable, fulfilling creative careersRevolution requires revelation first - Change happens through curiosity and "aha moments Daring Creativity. Their discussion challenges reductionist, brain-centric explanations of movement, advocating instead for an emergent, systems-based perspective that emphasizes adaptability, energy flow, and problem-solving in human movement. The episode is rich with practical analogies, clinical reasoning, and real-world examples to illustrate the limitations of conventional approaches and the strengths of the UHPC framework.Key Topics & Chapter Highlights00:00 – Introduction01:14 – Critique of Reductionism08:24 – Emergence and Complexity13:47 – Energy Flow and Gradients16:46 – Adaptation as Solution, Not Dysfunction18:19 – Integrating Tools, Rethinking Reasoning20:47 – Continuum of Health and Performance24:10 – Case Example: Knee Pain32:12 – Observation and Iteration33:53 – Systemic vs. Isolated SolutionsKey TakeawaysThe UHPC model views movement as an emergent, adaptive behavior shaped by energy flow, constraints, and systemic problem-solving-not just neural control or isolated muscle activation.Variability and adaptability are hallmarks of healthy movement; reductionist models that seek to eliminate variation can increase fragility.Practitioners should focus on expanding movement options and adaptability, using observation, questioning, and experimentation rather than rigid protocols.Structural adaptations are context-dependent solutions, not inherently dysfunctional.Effective clinical reasoning requires moving beyond static anatomical models and embracing complexity, energy dynamics, and the continuum between health and performance.Communication, curiosity, and willingness to question established paradigms are essential for practitioner growth and improved client outcomes.LEARN MOREJOIN the UHP Network to learn directly from Bill through articles, videos and courses.http://UHP.network TRAIN WITH BILLInterested in the only training program based on Bill Hartman's Model?https://www.reconu.co SUBSCRIBE for even more helpful content:YT: https://www.youtube.com/@BillHartmanPTIG: https://www.instagram.com/bill_hartman_pt/FB: https://www.facebook.com/BillHartmanPTWEB: https://billhartmanpt.com/Podcast audio:https://open.spotify.com/show/7cJM6v5S38RLroac6BQjrd?si=eca3b211dafc4202https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/reconsider-with-bill-hartman/id1662268221or download with YT Premium

Rich Sanders brings a remarkably unique perspective to the Uncommon Leader Podcast as both a pastor and successful entrepreneur. With his powerful motto—"The more we make, the more we give"—Sanders tackles the perceived tension between Christian values and business success, offering a refreshing framework that celebrates both hard work and generous giving as expressions of faith.Throughout our conversation, Sanders draws from his experience as a military veteran, business owner, and spiritual leader to illuminate how capitalism and Christianity can not only coexist but thrive together when properly aligned. He introduces the concept of "philanthropic capitalism" but takes it deeper, arguing that without genuine love for others, corporate giving risks becoming just another marketing strategy. One of the most memorable moments comes when Sanders shares a profound encounter with a homeless man who, despite having nothing by conventional standards, demonstrated extraordinary spiritual wealth through his complete trust in God's provision. This story challenges listeners to reconsider what true abundance really means in both business and life. For Christian business leaders navigating workplace dynamics, Sanders offers practical wisdom on leading by example rather than overt evangelism. "People will know you by your love," he explains, suggesting that authentic faith naturally shines through our actions, decisions, and treatment of others without requiring explicit religious language.Sanders also introduces his nonprofit initiative, Koinonia Mission, created to help Christians serve their communities outside traditional church frameworks. This project reflects his commitment to making faith-based service accessible to everyone, regardless of their relationship with organized religion.Whether you're a business professional seeking to integrate your faith more authentically in your work or simply curious about the intersection of spiritual and financial success, this conversation offers thoughtful insights on building a purposeful career that honors both profit and people. The Great Product Owner: The Vision Setter Who Empowers Teams In this segment, Anuj describes an exemplary Product Owner who mastered the art of inclusive product development. This PO excelled at bringing everyone together to discuss the product and potential solutions, while maintaining a clear focus on the vision and problem space. Rather than dictating solutions, they created an environment where team members could freely explore solutions while the PO remained available for questions and guidance. Their success came from building strong relationships with stakeholders and customers, and effectively using the Eisenhower matrix to prioritize work. The Bad Product Owner: The Requirements Translator Anuj discusses common anti-patterns he's observed in Product Owners, particularly those who may have previously been project managers. A crucial issue arises when POs create user stories without first understanding the customer and their journey with the product. Some POs become mere translators, rigidly adhering to story templates instead of truly understanding customer needs. The key to improvement lies in helping POs learn to engage directly with customers, focus on problem exploration rather than immediate solutions, and collaborate with the whole team in solution discussions. Self-reflection Question: How can you help your Product Owner move from being a requirements translator to becoming a true value maximizer? [The Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]

Have you had enough of feeling unworthy, feeling inadequate, or not enough? Do you think you don't deserve…? Do you struggle to receive gifts and compliments?   This is one of the most common challenges those I coach struggle with.   Feeling unworthy, undeserving, and not enough helped you get here but it won't get you there.   How do you feel when you think you are unworthy, an imposter, or inadequate? How do you show up when you feel not worthy? What results do you get when you doubt yourself? When you feel undeserving, unworthy, and inadequate you stay stuck where you are. You likely do not perform at your highest level or engage with the world as your highest, wisest, most productive self. Imagine what things could be like? Moving beyond feeling unworthy, not deserving, and "not enough" is something we work on in both Ongoing Presence and Transition Well A LOT. The small group setting is safe and perfect for this work. You learn you are not alone while enjoying support and camaraderie. There is time to practice, integrate, and explore.  These groups are only open for sign-up twice a year, in January and late August. Each group is limited to 12 women in medicine. We meet twice a month in the evening in all time zones If you want to move beyond feeling not enough, inadequate, and unworthy in 2025, sign up. www.jessiemahoneymd.com/transition-well-with-jessie https://www.jessiemahoneymd.com/ongoing-presence Your life will be very different on the other side. Likely even by March.   In the meantime, listen to this podcast and get started right away. Show up more mindfully. Notice how often the thought of not being enough drives your decisions. Start asking good questions. Choose the energy you want to make decisions from. What energy leads you to your most authentic and aligned decisions? Stay out of an all-or-none mindset.  What if there was no paradigm of enough vs not enough, deserving, or not, or worthy vs. unworthy?  Consider focusing on being human and/or ways in which you belong. Be patient. Practice self-compassion. Practice non-judgement. Trust yourself.  Listen to learn about other potential solutions. Move beyond consuming this amazing podcast. In this episode, we explore the raw, untamed essence of creativity—the elemental forces that shape meaningful art. Creativity isn't tidy or logical; it's messy, vulnerable, and deeply human. True artistry requires embracing your light and shadow, diving into your inner world, and creating from a place of authenticity. This conversation challenges artists to let go of appearances, lean into discomfort, and connect with the elemental energy that drives their work.   Key Points:   Art Is Messy and Raw: Creativity isn't about perfection or neatness—it's about diving into the chaos and embracing the process. You can't just think your way through art; you must experience it fully and let it flow through you.   The Power of Vulnerability: Art requires courage. Sharing your work is an act of bravery because it exposes parts of yourself you might rather hide. Sometimes, the most meaningful art comes from exploring discomfort, pain, or darkness.   Tap Into the Elemental: Creativity is about connecting with intangible forces: imagination, emotion, energy, and the shadow self. By embracing your full self—including the parts you avoid—you unlock deeper artistic expression.   Move Beyond the Surface: True artistry isn't about looking cool or seeking approval—it's about being real. Superficial work might entertain, but it won't resonate deeply or stand the test of time.   Art as a Shared Experience: Art is a gift you share with the world. Its value comes from its authenticity and the connection it creates with others. Faking it might get attention, but only genuine art truly resonates.   What You'll Explore With Us: How to embrace the messiness of the creative process. Why vulnerability is essential for meaningful art. Practical insights on connecting with your imagination, emotions, and shadow self. How to move past surface-level creativity and create work that truly matters. Join us as we dive into the core of what makes art powerful, meaningful, and alive. It is about you, the parent. Let your teen live their life, and go do those things you feel you're missing out on for yourself. “If you keep making these decisions for your kids, if you keep diving in and fixing everything, not only are you not giving them the skills they need, but I really believe it sends a message that you don't have any faith in them.” – Cheryl PankhurstAbout Cheryl Pankhurst: With an illustrious career spanning over 25 years as a Special Education Specialist, Cheryl has dedicated her life to understanding and supporting teenagers facing unique challenges. Through her transformative journey, Cheryl discovered her true calling – to uplift and empower not only teens with diagnoses but every young person navigating the complexities of adolescence. Her groundbreaking podcast, 'Teen Minds Redefined,' serves as a sanctuary for parents seeking guidance and wisdom on the rollercoaster ride of raising teenagers. Through this journey Cheryl has discovered that the “guidance” for parents starts with themselves. In this week's TIMELESS episode, Patrisse Cullors highlights the urgent call for a softer, more connected world where care is the base of everything we do. As an Artist and Abolitionist, born and raised in Los Angeles and being on the frontline of abolitionist organising for 22 years, Patrisse offers us a powerful vision for how we can cultivate healing through active, compassionate engagement in our communities and how we can move beyond propaganda and embrace true transformation. “Our work is to show up and reshape this place.” Patrisse Cullors   This is from our archives, part of a beautiful and powerful conversation we had in episode 201 with Patrisse Cullors on Abolition, Art Activism and Courageous Resourcing // Cultures Of Care.   We hope that this little piece called ‘How to Move Beyond Propaganda and Embrace True Transformation' will give you what you need in these important times in our evolution as humanity.   Links from this episode and more at allthatweare.org

In this week's episode of In The Circle, I'm thrilled to dive into an incredibly meaningful topic that impacts each of us — our relationship with food. Alyssa joins us with an inquiry about something fundamental to the human experience - How Can I Move Beyond Addictive Patterns with Food? Food has a powerful impact on how we feel, think, and interact in the world. It affects our energy, our mood, and even the way we show up in relationships. For those of us on the recovery path, it can be difficult to fully surrender to the principle that every compulsive bite blocks our connection to spirit. It's such a powerful question because, in one way or another, it touches us all.Together, we're going to examine what it means to truly honor our bodies and spirits through our relationship with food — an exploration I believe is at the heart of recovery and personal growth.Tommy Discusses:Strategies to change your relationship with foodThe 12-hour food windowWhy moving our bodies is so important How emotions affect our eating habits and patternsWould you like to be a guest on the In The Circle Podcast? Conservative Review with Daniel Horowitz
Let's Move Beyond 'the Lesser of Two Evils' | Guest: Rep. Phil Lyman | 8/19/24

For years, all we got with Republicans was the promise of “the lesser of two evils.” Meanwhile, things always get worse, and now Republicans can't even win any more because the voters sense a lack of sincerity. There has to be a point when we finally pull the plug on “vote Republican no matter what.” In my view, that line has been drawn in the Utah gubernatorial race. We're joined by Utah state Rep. Phil Lyman, who is challenging Gov. Spencer Cox as a write-in candidate during the general election. Lyman makes the case for why this situation is different. He believes that he is the rightful nominee after having won the convention. He describes the web of corruption surrounding the players and the process through which Cox gathered signatures. He also shows how Cox is so liberal that it would actually be worse for him to win than the Democrat. This is something we must keep in mind for the future in other states, if we ever hope to finally break out of the vicious cycle of uniparty failure theater.  Learn more about your ad choices.
