Pastor Ethan brings us back to the book of Acts with a message on our calling as a church from Acts 8:26-40.
Though the term "evangelical" has become saddled with political baggage, it's actually a word that refers to telling the good news, or good story, of Jesus. In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp unpacks an account from Acts 8:26-40 that gives us important keys to evangelism. Chris talks about our part and God's part in telling the good story of Jesus. Acts 8:26-40
Acts 8:26-40 For Further Study How does this story fit into the broader narrative of living on mission and the church expanding in Acts? Do you think the Ethiopian is a typical “seeker”? Why or why not? What are some of Philip’s positive character traits that we might want to emulate? What was Philip’s method (approach?) of sharing the Gospel with the Ethiopian? What might we take from this?
It is no secret that we live in a social media world. And within that world, people are bold to share many thoughts and opinions. In addition, many believers are bold to share the truth of the gospel which is wonderful! However, sometimes as believers we are bold to share online but not when we are going through life with those around us. What happens to our boldness? And how can we grow in sharing with others?

If we just look for what we see as treasures, laid out for us, we will be encouraged, all along the way. So that we're continuously wondering, Lord, how long. Hunker down, stay in the word, and tell people about Jesus. Just do what the Bible always tells us to do. Rejoice in the glorious hope.

As Aaron teaches about Phillip's encounter with the Ethiopian eunuch, we discover action steps God is leading us to take.
Philip is called by God to go down and meet an Ethiopian Eunuch. He is lead by the Holy Spirit to evangelize and the Ethiopian gets saved. We too need to be ready evangelists. God wants us to take the gospel into the world.
