Pastor Ethan continues our series in the book of Acts with a message on the coming of the Holy Spirit from Acts 2:14-41.
The Holy Spirit is God, part of the Trinity, but there can be a lot of uncertainty about His role and presence. Maybe you don't know that He was a promise, or maybe you don't know much about God at all, but God's Word brings clarity into confusion. The day of Pentecost was a huge day in salvation history because it's the first day that God lived IN His people, and there are great implications because of that. If you want to know what does it mean to receive the Holy Spirit and what does it lead to, come check out Week 1 of our series on the Holy Spirit as we check out Acts 2 and a broad look of the Bible as a whole.

Have you ever felt intimidated or fearful when it comes to sharing your faith? Our culture's definition and value of tolerance has caused many Christians to view evangelism is bad. Yet, Jesus clearly calls His followers to spread His message to all the earth. How do we rightly view evangelism? In this episode, Pastor Chris Kipp teaches from Acts 2:14-41 a message entitled Evangelize The Lost. This recording is from Mother's Day on May 9th, 2021 at Renaissance Church. www.ren-church.org Renaissance Church - Richmond, TX #alloflifealltheearth

Peter explains the miraculous events associated with the coming of the Holy Spirit by helping them to understand the backstory. In doing so he explains how Jesus is not a supporting cast member but the hero and Lord of the story.

Are you HUNGRY for relationship with Jesus Christ?
"As we proclaim truth, we want to meet people where they are." "Preaching has to be built on something that won’t crumble beneath us. God’s Word gives us that foundation." "We are here to talk about Christ. To proclaim Him as Lord and Savior."
Today we’re looking at Peter's sermon in Chapter 2 where we see powerful preaching and a call to repentance.

The good news about Jesus Christ is for everyone but the proclamation of the good news is always delivered in a particular context. Does this affect the message or just the delivery of the message? Surely the universal truth concerning Jesus Christ does not change but perhaps the message is different when it is delivered in a variety of contexts. How is the Gospel both universally true and culturally diverse? For the next two weeks, leading up to the ECC Missions Conference on October 19th, we will consider the idea of contextual evangelism – the good news in multiple settings.
