Read Online“Now, Master, you may let your servant go in peace, according to your word, for my eyes have seen your salvation, which you prepared in the sight of all the peoples: a light for revelation to the Gentiles, and glory for your people Israel.”  Luke 2:29–32At the time of Jesus' birth, there was a man named Simeon who had spent his whole life preparing for one significant moment. Like all faithful Jews at the time, Simeon was waiting for the coming Messiah. The Holy Spirit had revealed to him that he would indeed see the Messiah before his death—and so this happened when Mary and Joseph brought Jesus into the Temple to offer Him to the Lord as an infant.Try to imagine the scene. Simeon had lived a holy and devout life. And deep within his conscience, he knew that his life on earth would not come to an end until he was privileged to see the Savior of the World with his own eyes. He knew this by a special gift of faith, an interior revelation of the Holy Spirit, and he believed. It's helpful to think about this unique gift of knowledge that Simeon had throughout his life. Normally we gain knowledge through our five senses. We see something, hear something, taste, smell, or feel something, and as a result come to know it to be true. Physical knowledge is very reliable and is the normal way we come to know things. But this gift of knowledge Simeon had was different. It was deeper and was spiritual in nature. He knew he would see the Messiah before he died, not because of some external sensory perception he had received but because of an interior revelation from the Holy Spirit. This truth begs the question, which type of knowledge is more certain? Something you see with your eyes, touch, smell, hear or taste? Or something that God speaks to you in the depths of your soul by a revelation of grace? Though these types of knowledge are different, it's important to understand that the spiritual knowledge that is given by the Holy Spirit is far more certain than anything perceived through the five senses alone. This spiritual knowledge has the power to change your life and direct all your actions toward that revelation. For Simeon, this interior knowledge of a spiritual nature suddenly united with his five senses when Jesus was brought into the Temple. Simeon suddenly saw, heard and felt this Child Whom he knew he would one day see with his own eyes and touch with his own hands. For Simeon, that moment was the culminating moment of his life. Reflect, today, upon anything that our Lord has spoken to you in the depths of your soul. Too often we ignore His gentle voice as it speaks, preferring instead to live only in the sensory world. But the spiritual reality within us must become the center and foundation of our lives. It is there where God speaks, and it is there where we, too, will discover the central purpose and meaning of our lives. My spiritual Lord, I thank You for the countless ways in which You speak to me day and night in the depths of my own soul. Help me to be always attentive to You and to Your gentle voice as You speak to me. May Your voice and Your voice alone become the guiding direction of my life. May I trust in Your Word and never waver from the mission You have given to me. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2025 My Catholic Life! Inc. He describes it as “almost eerie, kind of ominous.”“Most of the songs I've been working on more recently have that kind of eerie undertone, but at the same time they're — I feel like there's a happiness to them.”But then he kept on listening, over and over. “Sometimes, I'll keep listening to something, and with ‘Culmination,” I thought, ‘Oh, it would be good to have this here, and this here, and it just kind of evolved from there.”“Eerie, kind of ominous” is an apt description of the atmospheric underlayer, but coming in and exploding over it is a fireworks display of sound. He said he started hearing in it hints of other electronic music that he liked, and when he listened to those songs he tried to identify the kinds of things that he liked so that he could incorporate in his song the feelings they aroused.“I tried to capture the feel as best I could in my own song, and I was really pleased with it, and so, ‘Culmination' — I called it that because I think it's a culmination of my being.”His background is not music, but he has always been a listener. He says he loved classic rock — Jethro Tull was a favorite — and also krautrock, which he called “kind of like classic rock mixed with some electronic.”But the thought of making music, let alone publishing it, never entered his head as a realistic possibility. And then he heard “I Can't Feel.”“I loved all different types of electro music, but for some reason that hit me in a way that I said to myself, ‘Wow, I really want to try this.' I thought it would just be a fun hobby.”He recounts in his artist bio that he was inspired to contact Dear to compliment his song and to ask about music production. And Dear responded.“Although my intent was to simply do this for a low-level hobby,” he writes, “he provided a timeline for when I could expect to write and release a song, which I never imagined would even be possible.”Fourteen years later, it has become a much higher-level hobby. He is putting out music and promoting it and working on more. He has a “lot of other singles in the making.” His genre, and he will stick with it, is lo fi, instrumental electro, “but within that I bounce around between different styles and approaches.”“It's still a fun hobby,” he said, “and I am so happy with it right now.His fun, the happiness, is reflected in the titles he has so far put out: “Magnum Poopus,” “Herculean Homunculus,” “Confetti Illuminati,” and “Sweatpant Euphoria.” His first was “Surreal.”“If I could make a living off it — I don't need to be famous; I don't even know if my genre really lends itself to being really popular — but even if I could just make a modest living off it, that would be a dream come true.”Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/creator-to-creators-with-meosha-bean--4460322/support.

We also explore the concepts of Deep Ecology, Ritual and Evolutionary Remembering. As we reach Introspection, we follow the lead of Joanna Macy and John Seed's Gaia Meditations as they respond to two crucial questions: What are you? What am I? Then, as we reach Strength, the last totem of the Hoop of Life, I share a first person testimony of the fortitude I believe is necessary to summon right now, as Graham Innes wrote in his narrative of Earth Bonding when he acted in defense of Daintree Forest, in Australia, burying himself with fellow activists up to his neck in the soil. Words and Art of two masters; Jacek Yerka and Harlan Ellison, allow me to conclude this powerful journey, and I close the Medicine Wheel by offering you the gift of a concrete exercise in Transformation.

This episode came on the heels of a traumatic, eight-interview sprint in NYC. As you'll see, this one was particularly chaotic, but the stars aligned to make it happen. Camera switches, bathroom breaks, health concerns, equipment malfunctions, and even a robbery didn't prevent the conversation from coming together. With this in mind, I hope you'll forgive how crazy and inconsistent the video is; the fact that it even got put together is courtesy of my friend and editor Yu Guo (a philosopher who got his PhD from NYU with past guest Paul Boghossian). Given that there's some new intro music, and you're already getting an abundance of distracting production nuggets, I decided to show the soup being made. My thanks go to Richard, who met with me twice in three days (not to mention his wife, who allowed it), and Michael, who put up with me for over four hours. - Robinson P.S. Toward the end of the episode Michael eats a jerky stick from Maui Nui Venison, which is a company operating out of Hawaii that manages the invasive deer population of Maui that is decimating the landscape. Instead of culling the animals and disposing of their bodies, the meat is butchered and sold. It is the only meat I eat, full-stop, and the ethical reasons are sufficient for this, but it is also the best meat that I have ever had. I reached out to Maui Nui and told them that I support what they are doing and would like to be of any help that I can. They gave me this coupon code—ROBINSON—which you can use for 15% off. I am not being paid for this in any way. I believe in what they are doing and I want this model to succeed. People are going to be eating meat for the foreseeable future and I would be happier if it was not factory-farmed meat. So please check Maui Nui out and give them a try! The west Clare side claimed their maiden senior ladies title with a 3-8 to 1-10 victory over Doora Barefield, with both sides contesting the decider for the first time in their history. Ellie Hanrahan finished the game with a personal tally of 2-2, while Kayla Darcy's late goal put the result beyond doubt. Manager Patrick O'Connor said that given the underage structures that were in place, capturing a county title in 2024 was always the aim when he first took over.

This week on The Tarot Diagnosis Podcast, I am analyzing the symbolism of the Ten of Swords, focusing on its representation of fear, judgment, and self-sabotage.   I explore how this card encapsulates the culmination of suffering and defeat, not only from external forces but often from our own internalized fears. This episode looks at self-sabotage behaviors driven by the dread of being perceived or judged, how that prevents us from reaching our true potential and how we can shift to begin uncovering deeper truths about our lives and relationships.   Throughout this episode, I pull the Page of Pentacles, Knight of Wands, Four of Pentacles, and Two of Cups to help expand the discussion. I also spend time touching on Carl Jung's theories on the shadow, the importance of parts work through Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the universal experience of projection. Episode 187 In this podcast, New York Times best-selling author and astrologer Chani Nicholas discusses the astrology of the week and what it might mean for us all. The astrology of the week of July 15th, 2024, encourages us to dig deep and alchemize what no longer serves us or the collective. On Monday, Mars (the planet of action) conjoins Uranus (the planet of disruption), prompting us to break free from harmful systems and structures. Though this is an opportune moment for breakthroughs, it cautions us to act on inspiration rather than impulse. On Saturday, Mars moves into Gemini, turning the dial — and potentially the chaos — in our communications and technology use all the way up. On Sunday, the Full Moon in Capricorn shines a spotlight on anything festering in the darkness, thanks to Pluto's proximity. (The planet of underworld journeys is in the early degrees of Aquarius, not far from the lunation.) Later that day, Mars trines Pluto, boosting our overall focus and determination. Altogether, this week urges us to affect necessary change in our lives and investigate the parts that are so rarely unveiled. This episode was recorded on 05/27/2024. On today's Bible Answer Man broadcast (05/07/24), Hank concludes his overview of the days of Holy Week, arriving at Pascha, also known as Easter. It is the day in which the body of Christ worldwide celebrates the ultimate game-changer, the resurrection of Jesus Christ. “If I face hardships in life for merely human reasons,” wrote Paul in his first letter to the Corinthian Christians, “what have I gained? If the dead are not raised, ‘Let us eat and drink, for tomorrow we die.' If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins. Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ are lost. If only for this life we have hope in Christ, we are to be pitied more than all men.” Without resurrection, Christianity crumbles. Thus, in 1 Corinthians chapter 15, the apostle Paul provides a four-part argument underscoring the irrevocable reality of Christ's resurrection. Of one thing Hank has become certain; if twenty-first-century Christians would grasp the reality of resurrection like first-century Christians did, their lives would be totally transformed.
