Jeff Howe, CJ Vogel and Hank South react to Colin Simmons declaring that “intimidation” is the new standard for Texas' defense under Will Muschamp. Simmons explains how Muschamp has strengthened his understanding of situational football, helped him become a more complete player and created a mentality that is spreading throughout the unit. Could Simmons challenge the all-time college football sack record in his final season at Texas? The crew also discusses Cam Coleman's quiet confidence, his work to eliminate drops and the selfless approach he brings to an offense loaded with playmakers. The world views God's word as chains & shackles that restrict their freedom and get in the way of what they want to do. Psalms 2 says, "the nations rage" against the Lord. The rage turns into intimidation towards God's people as the enemy tries to work through the world to actively oppose God. But the Psalms encourage God's people to rise above and set our sights on the intimidation of this world from God's angle. Psalms 2 has three images that raise people's sights so they can overcome the intimidation of this world.

JUL. 22, 2026Talk back to your giant."I come against you in the name of the Lord." 1Sa 17:45 NIVGoliath towered over David. But Davidlooked at Goliath through the eyes of his omnipotent God who sits high, looks low, and conquers all. "You come against me with sword and spear...but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." Intimidation is one of Satan's favorite weapons. He will get you to think yourself into a state of fearfulness. One day, cartoon character Charlie Brown was having lunch at school when he confided to his friend Linus that he didn't feel good enough to approach a certain young lady: "I can't talk to that little red-haired girl because she's something and I'm nothing. If I were something and she were nothing, I could talk to her, or if she were something and I were something, then I could talk to her. Or if she were nothing and I were nothing, then I also could talk to her.But she's something and I'm nothing so I can't talk to her." Linus responded: "For a nothing, Charlie Brown, you're really something!" Charlie Brown had allowed theredhead's beauty to intimidate him and force him to the sidelines. As His redeemed child, God thinks you're really something. David said, "Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has redeemed from the hand of the enemy" (Ps 107:2 NKJV). And because David's words lined up with God's Word and His plan, Goliath was stopped. So whatever "giant" you're facing today, stand up to him and announce, "You are coming down in the name of the Lord!"Talk back to your giant God thinks you're really something.Share This DevotionalSend us Fan MailSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

State Advocate Drushantha Ramsamy from the Independent Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC) has told the Madlanga Commission that IDAC's operational manual was routinely ignored under former head Advocate Andrea Johnson. Ramsamy testified that Johnson frequently deviated from established procedures and that staff who questioned her instructions faced intimidation, internal investigations and workplace hostility. He also alleged that decisions were often changed following discussions between Johnson and former IDAC official Dalip Perumal, and claimed the working environment drove many prosecutors and staff to seek counselling through the National Prosecuting Authority's employee wellness program

Mary and Andrew begin this week by addressing the Department of Justice dropping the subpoenas they ordered against New York Times journalists who reported on security concerns regarding President Trump's new Qatari-government-gifted Air Force One jet, noting that the attempt to subpoena the writers speaks to a failed effort of “chilling and intimidating” other reporters. But still, there were even more subpoenas: last week, the DOJ filed subpoenas for 14 major law firms as part of an ongoing lawsuit between the American Bar Association (ABA) and the Executive Office of the President, which Mary and Andrew believe is an effort by the government to try and “get the law firms to pressure the ABA to drop this lawsuit.” They also touch on an update to journalist Katie Phang's lawsuit against the federal government over Epstein files redactions and address Jack Smith's criminal referral by House Judiciary Committee Chair Jim Jordan. Plus, two immigration-related cases: a judge's decision to throw out a DOJ lawsuit challenging Minnesota immigration laws and an appeal court's decision to reverse a lower court decision releasing Pro-Palestinian activist Mohsen Mahdawi. Photojournalist Nick Stern still has nightmares from the night an officer fired a flashbang into his leg as he covered the LA immigration protests. He's one of dozens of journalists assaulted, arrested, or deported in Trump's second term — a year that pushed the US to 64th on the World Press Freedom Index, its lowest ranking ever.In this episode of The Battle for Free Speech, Michael Fox is joined by Real News investigative journalist and Capitol Hill correspondent Taya Graham to map the assault on the American press: the rubber bullets and broken bones, the billion-dollar lawsuits, the FBI raids on reporters' homes, the jailing of journalists like Georgia Fort and Don Lemon, and the deportation of immigrant reporters Mario Guevara and Estephanie Rodriguez. Featuring voices from the Committee to Protect Journalists and the National Press Photographers Association, they trace how violence, intimidation, media consolidation, and the gutting of access all serve a single goal: self-censorship — the silencing of the press in the name of free speech. The Battle for Free Speech is a production of The Real News Network.Hosted by Michael Fox and Marc Steiner. Theme music by Michael Fox, Jordan Klein and Daniel Nuñez. A Clare MEP is calling for urgent action at national and European level to support victims of drug debt intimidation. Speaking during a debate in the European Parliament on the rights and protection of victims of crime, the Scariff-based MEP Michael McNamara highlighted the particular vulnerability of young people caught in cycles of drug debt. Ireland's first national data report on drug-related intimidation, published this year by the Health Research Board, recorded more than 1,000 cases across every county, with nearly three in ten victims experiencing intimidation for more than a year. MEP McNamara says victims are often too frightened to turn to the authorities.

Italian wine inspires passion, curiosity, and, for many people, a fair amount of confusion. Even devoted wine lovers can feel overwhelmed when faced with Italy's astonishing range of native grape varieties, regional traditions, appellations, and bottles whose labels sometimes seem to raise more questions than answers. Unlike wine cultures built around a relatively smaller group of internationally recognized grapes, Italy's wine identity is gloriously complex, shaped by geography, history, climate, and deeply local traditions that can shift dramatically from one valley to the next. That's precisely what makes Italian Wine: The History, Regions, and Grapes of an Iconic Wine Country, co-authored by Kate Leahy and Shelley Lindgren, such a genuinely useful and engaging book. In our recent podcast conversation,  Kate and I talked not only about the book itself, but about why Italian wine remains one of the most fascinating, and sometimes misunderstood, wine cultures in the world. By understanding the root of your fear, leaning into your strengths, and practicing assertiveness in small ways, you can stop shrinking yourself around dominant personalities and start communicating with more confidence and clarity. Read along with the original article(s) here: https://introvertdear.com/news/introverts-speak-up-people-who-intimidate-you/ Quotes to ponder: “If you feel intimidated by someone, whether it's a coworker, your mother-in-law, or a friend-of-a-friend, understand that your fear gives them power over you and allows them to dictate your thoughts, emotions, and actions.” “We can change our behavior, and our life, simply by challenging the stories we tell ourselves and starting to tell ourselves new stories.” “Learning to speak up for yourself can be an uncomfortable yet absolutely life-changing process for an introvert.” Episode references: The Middle: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1442464/ Forbes: https://www.forbes.com/ The Big Leap: https://www.amazon.com/Big-Leap-Conquer-Hidden-Level/dp/0061735361 Learn more about your ad choices. I greet you in Jesus' precious name! It is Saturday morning, the 9th of May, 2026, and this is your friend, Angus Buchan, with a thought for today. We go straight to the Book of Acts 16:37: ”But Paul said to them, “They have beaten us openly, uncondemned Romans, and have thrown us into prison. And now do they put us out secretly? No indeed! Let them come themselves and get us out.” What had happened was, Paul and Silas had been preaching the Gospel. They had been falsely accused. They had been stripped down, beaten, humiliated and put into prison, but once they had been put into prison, the magistrates realised that actually Paul and Silas were Roman citizens. It was forbidden for them to beat citizens of Rome openly and humiliate them. So the magistrates tried to get out of it and told the jailers, ”Let them go secretly.” But Paul, that's why I love him so much, he said, ”I'm not having this. They must come, those magistrates, apologise and let us out of prison themselves.” Which, of course, they did, they apologised profusely. We need to be careful that we, as believers, are not intimidated by bullies, wherever they may be. Because a man is wearing a uniform, that does not give him the right to do what he pleases to you or me, and I'll give you an example. If you are going down the highway and a Traffic Officer pulls you over and he walks up to your car and says, ”You have been speeding, breaking the speed limit and you need to pay a fine.” You can say to him, ”Yes Officer, I'm quite prepared to do that, but can you show me evidence on your machine that I was actually speeding?” If he says, ”No, I can't.” Then you are not obliged to pay anything because it's his word against yours. He needs to give you evidence. Many years ago I and my young wife Gill, we were just newly married, we were in another country, we were going through the Immigration and Customs and this one officer, quite an otherwise type of person, I don't know why he didn't take a liking to me, he pushed a form in front of me and said, "Sign this form so that you can leave the country.” I was about to sign it and this little voice behind me tapped me on the shoulder and said, ”Angus, what are you doing?” I said, ”He's told me I must sign the forms.” She said, ”No, we are not signing any forms unless we can first read them.” And this man changed his tune all of a sudden and said, ”Yes ok, you can go.” Be careful, you don't sign your life away, folks. Remember, because we are Christians, we don't have to be doormats to everybody. Have a wonderful day, God bless you and goodbye.

Through a powerful series of 20 vignettes, the production brings ancient legends, spiritual traditions, and modern-day stories to life on stage. But behind the beauty is a darker reality. Browde details how Shen Yun and its performers have faced ongoing threats, including alleged sabotage efforts and intimidation tied to the CCP's broader crackdown, particularly against practitioners of Falun Gong. This conversation is about cultural survival, political pressure, and why Shen Yun has become a global symbol of resistance and awareness against authoritarian control.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
