On Today's cast we finish up our coverage of the Adeptus Mechanicus. We start with what the machine spirit is (our bad on missing that on the last cast). We then dive into the growth of the value and thus the power of the Adeptus Mechanics within the Imperium, followed by a dive into the nightmare that is a forge world. After that we jump into the nightmare beings that are the Skitarii and Kataphrons. We then go into the tech priests of the Adeptus Mechanicus with all their variations. We then close on our favorite part of the Adeptus Mechanics, their incredible relationship with the inquisition.Support the show
Dave & Matt are back with another episode...albeit a little later than billed! On this week's episode we catch up with the Warhammer Preview which took place a few weeks ago, where we saw the likes of Belthanos, Cryptborn, the new Kill Team box and Bretonians! Oh...and some crazy, stilt wearing Skitarii... For this week's Top 3, well, you've guessed it, we'll be picking out our favourites from the reveal, as well as reading out the community choices. In the news we catch up on the more recent bits and bobs from Warcom, and discuss (should that be rant?) about the new Warhammer.com webstore.
Les armées du Dieu Machine composent les forces de l'Adeptus Mechanicus. Que ce soit grâce aux skitarii ou aux Légion titaninesques, ils n'ont qu'un objectif: défendre l'Omnimessie.

Beyond the mechanical Skitarii, there exist many other tendrils of the Mechanicus' power. From voidships more massive than any that the Imperium uses, to secret police, to Ordinati larger than mountains, the Divisio Militaris is broken up into 9 bodies, each responsible for a different function. In this episode, we will highlight 5 of these Divisio (with the expectation that at some point we'll talk about the Collegia Titanica. My homebrew Adeptus Mechanicus force for Warhammer 40K. Take a listen as I chat about the Adeptus Mechanicus faction for Warhammer 40K, and my thought process when I created my own forgeworld’s lore and color...
In this episode, we talk about the Cult Mechanicus, part two of our podcast about the armies of the Mechanicum or Omnissiah. If you have ever thought of running Cult Mechanicus or a War Convocation, or play against them, this is the podcast for you. We talk about the story and background of the Cult Mechanicus, the models and aesthetics, how the different units function in the game, and how they work on the table. Finally, we discuss the War Convocation, a great mixture of Cult Mechanicus and Skitarii. The post Episode 37: Cult Mechanicus appeared first on TheBattlehosts.

Episode 140 of The Independent Characters continues our Show of Force series. This time it is the Adeptus Mechanicus and Skitarii forces that we cover in depth! To assist Carl, we have brought on two members of our gaming group that play the AdMech and Skitarii forces. Michael and Colin are both very strong painters and players. The wealth of knowledge between the two of them will providde insights that we are certain you will find entertaining. Because we have a new guest on the show, he lets slip with some language you wouldn't normally hear on our program. It's nothing to terrible, but I felt we should warn you up front. It's for this exact reason we carry the explicit tags on all of our episodes. We hope you enjoy the show! This week on the podcast we continue to tackle the deluge of releases with the second part of the AdMech faction: Cult Mechanicus!Following the awesome Skitarii book which introduced the foot troops of the AdMech, Cult Mechanicus introduces even more weird and wonderful units to the game such as the Kataphron battle servitors, Electro priests and Kastelan robots as well as the Ad Mech's first and only HQ choice; the Priest Dominus. We talk through the power level of these units and how they can be implemented into a competitive force. We also attempt (and fail) to look at the controversial War Convocation formation and briefly discuss what the idea of 'more free shit' can mean for competitive play.Matt Robertson spoke to Adam Ryland about his experience at the Birmingham Gaming Expo where he finally succumbed to the dark side and took Eldar (Ironic saying that given his storied history as a Daemon player!) Hear all about Adam's experiences at the event as also his impressions as a fresh new player to the faction using Eldar in a competitive setting for the first time.I also want to remind you guys about all the stuff we are working on, most notably the Allies Of Convenience Grand Tournament that will be taking playing in Warrington on November the 7th and 8th. Tickets are yet to go on sale for this but we want you to pencil it in to your diaries as they will be made available shortly. Please check us out on Facebook! http://facebook.com/AOCpodcast We love hearing from you guys with feedback on the show, questions regarding competitive play and also tips on forthcoming events we can promote on the podcast.Featuring Alex Rae, Matt Robertson, Mike Collins, Jesse Newton & Adam Ryland TIME STAMPS:00.00:00 Start00.03:58 Cult Mechanicus 02.13:22 Birmingham Gaming Expo report
