The salvation God brings is a total reversal. The great famine becomes a great feast, and the least and last in this world are the first to the table. They acted on the possibility of mercy, and they discovered the surprising grace of God.
What does it truly mean to live out grace? In this week's message, Kristen shares both personal stories and biblical examples that challenge us to go beyond mercy and embrace grace as a defining trait of our faith. From Mephibosheth to Peter, we see how God's grace restores, uplifts, and transforms lives. Join us as we reflect on how we, as a church and as individuals, can be known by our love and grace in a world that desperately needs both.
In Chapter 3, we see that God can use and save anyone because He has a heart for everyone, even if we do not.
We're continuing our series at the 4:30pm service in the book of Genesis, looking at the life of Abraham from chapters 12-25, and this Sunday, Assistant Pastor, Tim Guest, is preaching on Genesis 20 - Familiar Failings and Surprising Grace

Truly complex problems require us to be people committed to both patient love (grace) but also making sure that we arrive at the correct answer (truth). This is difficult, but the alternative is not good. As author Randy Alcorn once wrote, “Truth without grace breeds self-righteous legalism…grace without truth breeds moral indifference.” But in the Scriptures, we see that Jesus isn't full of grace OR truth; He is full of grace AND truth. This is the vision set before us—not arbitrary or circumstantial decision-making between grace OR truth but a commitment to live at the intersection of grace AND truth. This Sunday we are diving in to the story of Judah. It's messy and hard and surprising. Moses gives us insight into a long season of Judah's life that is riddled with sin and scandal and brokenness. But there's more to the story than that. Yet again, we'll see how God uses it all to bring Judah back to himself and transform him into an entirely different person before it's all over. It's a story that gives hope to all of us. See you Sunday.

John Koessler is a self proclaimed "amateur" when it comes to praying, and in this honest and insightful conversation with Mike he speaks about the difference between human and divine conversation, and how it informs his preaching, which he defines as a conversation that he has with people, based on a previous conversation that he had with God. He contrasts prophetic preaching, which can come off as preaching "against" the people, and priestly preaching, which is preaching "for" or "with" the people. "Preaching is the communicating of divine truth through human personality." -Phillips BrooksDr John Koessler is an award-winning author and retired faculty emeritus of pastoral studies of Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, Illinois. As we wrapped up Romans 3, we saw that God's righteousness - his perfect record, come to us through faith in Jesus Christ. It comes freely and it justifies us, providing ample evidence for God to welcome us into all his love and presence.
This past Sunday, we looked at Genesis 3:20-24 and explored how God demonstrates Surprising Grace even amid the consequences of the fall. We see God's surprising grace in the promise of a future deliverer, his provision for sin and shame, and protection from eternally living in a state of spiritual death. The great hope of the gospel is that there is a way back to the garden and the life we were always made for. This way comes to us as the person of Jesus (John 14:6), the promised deliverer whose blood provides a covering for sin and shame and invites us back into the Kingdom through a life of apprenticeship to him. Rev. Matt Miller (Jonah 4:5-11)
Speaker: Justin WheelerSeries: Revelation Permalink
Rev. Matt Miller (Jonah 4:1-4) Often, what makes us mad reveals where our hearts are with God. Jonah's response to an entire city turning from sin is more surprising than the turning itself. Paying attention to where our anger is focused helps know how we are out of alignment with God.
Rev. Matt Miller (Jonah 3:1-10) Life is full of twists and turns, some of them happen to us, others are our responsibility/fault. What are our options when we take a wrong turn?
Rev. Matt Miller (Jonah 1:17-2:10) Jonah finally repents. It seems he's beginning to understand the significance of Grace. Have you?

ACTS 10:27-48God's renewal comes first through God's own initiative. In all conversions, there is always a moment when we realize that it's God who is pursuing us. God pursues us with more love than we are able to give to ourselves. Where are you invited to recognize God's love and renewal in your life?
God's grace shines brightest against the backdrop of human failure. Jephthah was rejected by his own people and had no reason to help them. Yet God's surprising and gracious choice of Jephthah allowed him to deal graciously with those who had rejected him.
